By the way guys for TRTR/Crypt, Kali is on the wall in the main chamber, Durga was in the Antechamber/Preshow area. ;P And they couldn't use DA, why? Have you ever seen how destructive Scare actors are? I don't think they want them playing in one of their biggest investments that they are pretty much "renting". Can't wait to see what KI is brewing up! Sad part is from now on I get to see it from the outside in now! But it will be interesting to see what goes on in the fog this year! and Yes, KI has to follow strict guidelines when it comes to those who are differently abled.

As said before in this topic, DO NOT BRING THE KIDS. As a now former scare actor it is EXTREMELY frightening to younger kids.. I'd recommend a Babysitter. If you want to do things with the kids without worry of the Scare Actors, do a Sunday. There's Hall-o-Fest and a lot for them to do. If you want to go for you to go, get a baby sitter and go on Friday. Fridays are usually the quieter days for just going to Haunt. You'll get the full experience and get to do everything. If you plan on doing both, go Saturday but take the kids out of the park around 4 or so due to the actors walking out early. Also, Fastlane or Frightlane passes are a must for saturdays if you want the full experience. Ticket prices are cheaper than regular season, so you can get a great deal if you pre buy your tickets online, print them and bring them with you.. You can also get them at Will Call. Also make sure to pay attention to the signs outside the haunts if you go.. If you have medical conditions they list what happens in those mazes. If you have any other questions feel free!

Nope it's not Circus Diabolique. I already have that one. It was another that played around the cycle of clowns and ballerinas.

Hello again KIC, I come again Questing for music played in the park! I'm looking for 2 songs right now, both from my favorite time of year! Haunt season! First one I'm looking for was played in Coney Maul during Haunt nights... I don't remember much of the lyrics, but I know the singer reminded me of the lead singer from Panic! at the Disco and had a lot of la la las in it. He was acting as a ringmaster of some sort. The second one is from Hall-o-Fest, It's played throughout the park and all I remember it was a very jazzy Saxaphone, no lyrics. Anyone that can help would be appreciated!

Actually, Urgent Scare's story for the first 3 years was a small town that got infected by the "virus". You had to go through the hospital and the National Guard to get your inoculation. This year they lost the "small town" part and went with just the hospital. KSF's Virus Z was essentially a nod to US, taking on more of the small town story.

Reminder About Leaving Stuff In Boomerang Bay
TrainedBeast replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Kings Island
This is why I have a waterproof armband for my phone, and a waterproof case for my keys, pass, cards, cash and anything else I need to carry. I do leave my clothes and towel near the wave pool in a bag that I tie obnoxiously quite a few times. I NEVER EVER leave my valuables, I ALWAYS have them on me. The clothes and stuff are mostly replaceable so I don't mind as much. But this is the reason some people call me overprotective of my stuff. -
Searching for The Legendary Beast Prints
TrainedBeast replied to TrainedBeast's topic in Kings Island
I do realize the consequences and I highly doubt I will ever fall out of love it it.. I have a lot of good memories from it and every time I'd see it it would be a nice reminder. I'm getting it on my ankle and I doubt people would really recognize it where I will be moving to next year so the questions will not even be an issue. I always think things through before I do something like this. Plus if someone said that Beast is awful, they haven't rode it in the right seats nor at night. Response from an Optimist. -
Actually, I can fall asleep on Beast, I'm that comfortable with the ride.

Searching for The Legendary Beast Prints
TrainedBeast replied to TrainedBeast's topic in Kings Island
Thanks guys, you have no idea how much this means to me! I appriciate it more than you will know! I will post pictures when done! I'm also planning a Haunt Tattoo, I just need to design it. The reason I'm getting a pawprint is because Beast means a lot to me and it holds a very special place in my heart. <3 <3 Thanks again~!! -
Hello KIC! It's me again! I'm going to be getting a very important tattoo and I need a good clear shot of The Beast Paw prints that used to be on the ground. If anyone has shots of them I would very much appreciate it!

Kings Island: A Perspective from Southeast TN
TrainedBeast replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
Actually Terpy, I would have to disagree with you. (Sorry! ) The main reason Dominion and Carowinds lost their Steam trains, pointed out by Engineer Steve during the Train Tour, was due to the fact that those areas do not have such a strong engineering core as we do here in Cincinnati. If you look all around you there are so many engineering facilities around here, not just GE, but there are riverboats and other things too. If it wasn't for the first 10 years with the engineers they had, we would not have our beautiful steam engines. I wish people would see what a hidden gem our little train is and what a piece of KI history it is too! -
I don't know if this is what they use in The Crypt, but I know Universal Orlando always uses Midnight Syndicate work for their Halloween Horror Nights event. They make awesome mood music. It's genuinely creepy and has that "distant, mysterious" sound that's very reminiscent of old-time horror movies. I never knew that that's what they used in The Crypt, but if you heard some Crypt music at Universal, then it must be, since Midnight Syndicate is pretty much all that they use! I encourage you to browse their site and look for the Crypt's music. Doubtlessly, Kings Island bought just one of their CDs and has it play on repeat in the queue, so if you find which one you can enlighten us all and get your answer! http://www.midnightsyndicate.com/ Happy h(a)unting! EDIT: Browsing their site, I did find that Kings Island and Cedar Point are both registered attractions that use Midnight Syndicate music! Very cool. To be honest, I might even contact Guest Relations with an email. I don't see why they wouldn't tell you which CD it is, and there's no way to sample songs on their site. So if you really want to get your hands on Universal's song, email them and ask which CD it's from. Thanks so much! I have found out that it is Midnight Syndicate's Out of The Darkness CD! I am pleased now.

Hey KIC! I have a really good question for you guys because I have been wondering this for a while now~ Does anybody know what songs they play in the queue? Especially the songs used in Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights 16 Opening ceremonies: Video If anybody can tell me what they are.. I would be incredibly happy.

A few of my personal favorites~ The KI&MVRR isn't a "Real" train. The Crypt is a Roller coaster The Beast is the coaster that is shut down and the Son of Beast is still running. King Cobra will be put back into it's place. (I heard that one last time I was in the park, I tried so hard not to giggle)

Hi Crash! That was me who noticed your KIC shirt! Sorry it's taken me a while to reply, the Island and Best Buy keep me busy! It was awesome meeting you and I hope to see you around! Feel free to come say hi anytime i'm there!

Jesse, just to let you know.. You brought a tear to my eye.

I can vouch that The Beast Crews from '06-'09 have stepped it up and raised the bar on cracking down on things and guest service (no pun intended).

~You hear the Ghost Riders in The Sky Cover by The Outlaws you hear the Train speil in your head. ~You start heading towards the park and realize that it's closed. ~You hear Halloween Haunt music and pout when it's Jaunuary. ~You have a countdown clock on Facebook to the opening day of KI and the beginning of Halloween Haunt and various other in park events. ~You speed over Railroad tracks to get airtime. ~You look for the lapbar in your car. ~You ask your workplace for April 17th off and when they ask why, you say "Do you really have to ask?" and they understand.

I've seen quite a few get kicked out of the park since '97 when I started going. One of my favorites was on the KI&MVRR. These group of preteen and teenage boys (about 5 of them) were in the middle of a full train and they kept trying to hang off the side of the Train while it was in motion and nearly fell off several times. The conductor on the front told them kindly 3 times to sit down otherwise the Train was going to stop and they would call security. They didn't stop so the Conductor stopped the Train, the rear conductor brought the boys to the back of the Train and Security was called. The entire train cheered including myself. And in '08 while at Urgent Scare, I had an drunk and unruly guest smoking like a chimney (He had 3 in his mouth at one time D: ) in line and I told him to put it out please. He then took a huge puff and blew it right into my face. I had a severe Asthma attack but luckily one of the black shirted security guards saw, helped me out and then got him. He got shoved and nearly decked so he handcuffed him. It was great.

YES! Beastie needs a comeback~ And not all Ride ops are happy that it's over~ There's one thing you gotta remember though, to some ride ops, SDatHC was their baby or a second home and or they had a great love of Scooby doo. This season for me was (no pun intended) a bit of a roller coaster, but it all ended on a good note. I miss my KIC, KI, and Haunt Family already. I got to meet alot of wonderful people this year and had alot of fun.. For me, we'll see what next season brings...

I do not doubt the Terpy! Exactly~ Trains have to go backwards before they can go forwards Ohsnap!

Ooooh~ Do I have stories for you guys~ >D As Stalkerchick knows this one all too well.. CAYLA! <3 It was a Saturday, mid-haunt and we had a full queue running through the "Outside" of the maze. I was hanging around my fog light when I noticed there was a break in the line. I ventured near the bushes to discover that there was a girl LATCHED onto the queue rails and not wanting to move forward through the plastic (She had on a black shirt with a skull, yes I remember what she looked like ). Perfect. I stayed in the area in behind my fog light and scared around there until she was noticably close. Since she kept breaking the queue, I just waited until she came right before where she could see me. Finally, she came in range, I popped up right beside her and she started screaming "OH MY GOD THERE'S ANOTHER ONE!". So I started putting on my crazy act. "Oooh~ Your face is so pretty! Here, lemme get closer so I can see it better!" I climbed through the queue line and she started screaming more and kept screaming for me not to come any closer and to leave her alone. She also preceeded to "cat and mouse" with me as she kept running around her group members and her boyfriend. I kept asking her what her name was but sadly she wouldn't tell me.. but her boyfriend did! Her name was Cayla and my eyes lit up with joy as I used her name against her. "Hi CAYLA! S-Such a pretty name!" She started screaming again. Meanwhile a certain Stalker decided to come join the party as she walked through the queue. I of course announced that I had a new best friend and she came over. Poor Cayla started screaming again. "OH MY GOD THERE'S TWO OF THEM!!" So we ganged up on her for a bit. We'd send her bouncing back and forth between the two of us. and then Fred came over right behind the poor, terrified Cayla and she screamed again. "OH MY GOD THERE'S THREE!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" So we triple teamed her and almost had her down to the ground... Gary helped that last little bit.. He was our "nice" policeman and he came over with the megaphone, snuck behind her, turned it on and... "DO YOU NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION?" She fell to the ground, curled up in a fetal position and screamed. Favorite. Scare. Ever. My other favorite scare includes those cute, adorable flashing bunny ears. It was a Friday night towards the end of the season and it was terribly cold. The fog was so thick you couldn't see a hand in front of your face. I was towards the area where the two lines split off for the different theaters, sitting on the railing right at the corner. My fog light was a great gauge for seeing something of a shadow.. but those bunny ears were like a homing beacon! I saw a set of six and noticed that the ears kept "jumping".. Again.. Perfect. I let Stalker and Fred know we had friends coming and preceeded to "become a statue" I sat kind of limp, handlebars and trashcan lid poised, ready to pop. The bunny ears kept stopping, backed up a little and then went on. When they got within a few feet of me, magically the fog lifted enough for them to see me and scream. I did not move. So they crept closer, and closer and then got within inches of me. I still did not move. They asked if I was real to each other, deciding not, moved on. When three had passed me.. I decided to pop up and start giggling. They bolted for it! I chased the group down the queue, leading them to Stalker and her picnic table. She made a loud banging noise and they ran faster and I kept chasing them. Fred was up by the hospital and saw them coming, he decided to run down the queue to meet us. We cornered them right before the big turn into the hospital and scared them quite a bit. We both moved, told them to "Get going!" and they bolted for the hospital... Not without one last chase from me though! And don't worry! There will be more this year!

Or outlaws hijacked the train, killed a few "innocents" as they forced everyone off, and sent them to Boot Hill (WWC exit) like an old-school train robbery. Just like the train ride in its early days, they could bring that back for Tombstone. You know...for NOSTALGIC purposes? I wonder if the manufacturer would recommend the train be run backwards! Just a few.. hints from someone who knows.. Just a little about the KI&MV RR.. The Train would have to completely stop for someone to jump on and a chainsaw would be a little hard to move between the seats~ Personally it would be neat! (Much Nostalgia~ I wish I could have seen the Cowboys and Indians of long ago <3) .. and yes the Train can run backwards.. I've seen it.
