  1. Oh Terpy Pat's new to kic's site, welcome as you can see in the upper right hand corner there is a search window!
  2. I'm so glad to hear that the tax didn't make it. I was planning on going but I had a job interview today plus parent teacher conferences!
  3. Classic as in coaster years haha I'm the same age as Beast
  4. oops I don't know how that happend
  5. Beast is a classic but Voyage is so much better. Sorry Beast
  6. Beast is a classic but Voyage is so much better. Sorry Beast
  7. Too bad you can't vote more than once haha!
  8. I have so many memories on White Water, I have operated it and used to be one of the rides that I worked maintenance on. I met my wife on the ride back when she was a ride operator, she saw me changing a seat belt on the ride and asked a co-worker if I was single. Happy 25th WWC
  9. I think it would be hilarious to get a Chickfila sandwich for Tony Bradburn, just in case he comes up to us again with rude comments.
  10. What fun this will be haha! I'm going to make sure that I make it there on time this time around!
  11. Very nice article didn't have any idea that Merlin was so big. I'm going to have to check out Legoland in Orlando, new parks always have a handful of job openings and that's always good.
  12. I forget if I heard this by one the the Gravity Group guys or by one of the wood coaster carpenters at ki but the saying goes Your never done building a wood coaster.
  13. With this color scheme I can see it being woodstock themed.
  14. ah, so that's what it is, they only have two trains designed to run in the rain, and we blamed it on Cedar Fair's safety rules. I think that was a typo they don't have trains that only run in the rain.
  15. I like the orange and yellow, can't wait to see the rest.
  16. looks like reptar is going to be orange and yellow.
  17. I was going by what the maint. guys said while I worked with them. I was in rides that year and we didn't know anything about log flume closing for good, we were told it was being worked on then it would reopen the next year
  18. Log Flume was never on the chopping block, it was a very good thing that they put it through rehab, when I worked maintenance on it the guys said that the fiberglass trough was getting into really bad shape and was in a badly need of being replaced. It's funny to say that I operated and performed maintenance on a ride that both my grandparent's and parent's rode before I was born, I can say that about the Carousel too.
  19. Oh man Proslide is really selling the Tantrums like hot cakes, I can't wait to ride one. I'll never forget riding the enclosed Tornado at Grand Mound Washington in 56 degree water to be the first to ride it after we finished setting it up!
  20. You would think that but nope! I'll just wait 6 more months and at their turn around rate no one there will know who I am and what all improvments I made there.
  21. They don't like working managers, since we fix their water coaster they didn't have a need for me anymore and let me go!
  22. I remember talking about coming up with ideas of where to put it... Too bad I'm not allowed on GWL's property
  23. Oh I remember that day well, we still had the Vekoma reps there to help and they kept on saying that Face/Off could run in any weather. King Cobra couldn't run in cold weather lower than 46 Degrees "I could be wrong on the exact temp but it is somewhere around that". My first day working at ki back in 97 I worked on Viking Fury and Skylab and it snowed, sleeted and rained.
  24. It's ah BAD... It's ah BAD... It's ah BAD Idea Shoomoh! Sorry
