  1. I think the wooden hypercoaster is a very feasible idea albeit an expensive one. However I think a loop on a wooden coaster will only reappear a while from now if at all.
  2. They also list VF as "Pirate Ship" and some other weird names I fail to remember.
  3. ^ Yes that is the lawsuit. They were riding SOB when a piece of lumber snapped and injured a trainload of riders.
  4. IMO the park knew a lawsuit would come out of the 2006 incident and chose to open it a little while later (with modifications) anyways. I don't believe KI found this move particularly surprising. I agree with Tom that this rides fate has been decided and I think this decision is not expressly affected by this particular lawsuit.
  5. ^^^ I agree. Will money make her not have the pain that comes with surgery? No. Will it erases the trauma that would exist after such an accident? No. Money can do many things but there are some things it cannot ever do.
  6. ^^ Agreed. When I ride a coaster, any one, I don't expect to be injured.
  7. ^^ Or if it is the fault of the manufacturer or the park's fault.
  8. They pay $24,000 for medical bills with much more in the future and they just decide to sue? Or was this suit filed long ago and just now will go to court?
  9. It could be said that Xcelerator was the "warm-up" for TTD to see if the idea would be plausible. Although GCIs are great they aren't innovative in themselves. No matter how great they are, they are still plain wooden coasters.
  10. Why do you say that? Because they have so much land to build on? (sarcasm) Kings Dominion and Carowinds are getting huge coasters. Because CF couldn't stand to see any other park beside CP get a innovative ride (which a 4-D still is).
  11. ^ I would love to also but I can only see CF giving one to CP
  12. Wow this is really good. I especially like the old logos. They don't look like they were hand drawn!
  13. As far as I know, yes.
  14. If a park has good coasters I don't care if it's a theme park or just an amusement park.
  15. ^ You mean Urgent Scare, correct?
  16. B&M invert ala Dueling Dragons
  17. This is a very good article and I believe that this is an article many should read. Although I, myself, don't like any of the Haunts I have seen this many times on rides. Many a time have I been getting on a coaster to see a little kid sitting behind me crying at the top of their lungs with their parent telling them they should ride and the ride op giving the kid a choice. I say let the kid choose if they do an attraction - Haunt or ride.
  18. ^True about that. Who knows maybe something will be made of Crypt
  19. So... Will the affected parks retain the "Busch Gardens" or will A-B take this with them?
  20. Cedar Fair wouldn't pay for the most relevant kid's franchise so why would they pay for Mythbusters? I think it was a great idea though and I think something must be done with it.
  21. ^Put that in your front yard!
  22. Yes it pretty much is. They are both very near to the exit but the exit does not go directly through it. And they are similar in size. Pretty much identical.
  23. ^I was making the point that running the exit directly through the gift shop/picture booth generates more bought on-ride pics IMO
  24. Not knowing the layout. Just the element of surprise really enhances the ride
  25. Edit: Sorry, Accidental Double Post
