  1. Of course, everything has to be about hats. I just can't get away from them! (You get a cake if you get the reference!)
  2. I don't think any CEO's or employees would take a pay cut so that one of their buildings (or structures) could get re-painted. Kinzel's laundry has to be paid for somehow!
  3. Make it digital instead of manual so a ride op (like one that does the restraint checks) can change it. This would probably work best on rides like Firehawk that could use an extra person in the station and understaffed rides. This would have to wait until the offseason to happen, though.
  4. It relies on user-submitted data; it can't always be accurate that way.
  5. I thought these 2 quotes of yours fit pretty good...and it answers your question of why the park will probably never put the food prices on the app. Ha! I think KI should consider replacing the wait time signs with digital ones so the wait time can automatically be sent to the app (which would be updated to include support for this). Oh, and advertising is needed even though it's a free app.
  6. I say move Urgent Scare to the DA area. Don't know how well that would work though.
  7. Apparently the people who made these apps also designed the CF websites (the ones like KI's). What's interesting is that on their website, CGA is listed as one of the businesses they've designed websites for but there's no link. Maybe they're getting a website overhaul sometime this/next year? NVM, it's just Haunt and stuff. Edit: What would be cool is if it could tell you the wait times so you don't go all the way from Action Zone to Rivertown and see that Diamondback, The Beast, The Crypt (lol), BLSC, Vortex, and WindSeeker all have 2+ hour (for The Crypt, 1 hour, if that) waits. I think there's another amusement park app that does this with user input? Edit 2: Or maybe KI could supply the wait times, as the app is pretty much official?
  8. Why do parks still buy HUSS rides if they're all unreliable and customer service seems horrible (of course, the last thing may be because a part takes so long to make)?
  9. It's nice to have an air conditioned ride where you can just sit down and not have to pay extra for it.
  10. I actually have a Beast shirt from last year that says "King's Island" in the old logo style/font. Chances are it was intentional.
  11. Openin? I've never seen you shorten -ing words like that, Terpy. Maybe I'll get up there when I'm in my 20s possibly. No way I'm going there anytime soon.
  12. In the Gold Pass commercial, I see KD's DT and a wooden coaster that's not at KI. Probably Ghostrider. The second also has probably the same wooden coaster and Planet Snoopy from a different park (last of which doesn't matter as no rides are shown). Good job this time CF. Edit: The second has KI's DT in it, so IDK why they put KD's in on the first one.
  13. And so this post doesn't violate the ToS: This commercial wouldn't get me to go to KI. I think many other people would feel the same way.
  14. I would've figured that CP would have the highest prices...
  15. So, according to KI, a pass pays for itself in 2 visits. Yet a 2-day pack costs the same as a regular ticket...
  16. ^^^^ This guy's going to be a mod one day.
  17. brb, changing plans But seriously, this could mean my family will head to Qdoba (there is one right by KI now, right) instead of eat in the park. And we're not even passholders! Maybe we could just make 2 trips to HW this year...
  18. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/visit/lodging/index.cfm This means the end of the partnership between KI and GWL. Maybe this means CF plans to build a hotel?
  19. Why would they do that? They didn't sell Rock Band in the park... although that would be so expensive it wouldn't even be worth it. Anyway, a book would probably cost 2000 nickels.
  20. I know a place where the value of soft drinks is great... and I'm pretty sure the rest of you know too.
  21. That area's going to be so packed, with all of the WindSeeker, AT, and Vortex riders all exiting to the same place.
  22. To be honest, I can see CGA closing soon and being turned into a water park with a mall next to it. I don't see why any amusement park operator would buy it.
  23. I will be heading for the ride called "DB96's Bed". Oh, wait, that will be the night before.
