  1. Or when CP is so packed to the point where they would have to tear down coasters to build smaller ones...
  2. Let's hope this means a park is buying it. None of us sure don't want a classic ride like this to be scrapped. Speaking of carousels, what happened to GL's? Is it still in the park?
  3. Then those must be the exception, not the rule.
  4. I think they took those pictures in the video during SOB deconstruction.
  5. Terpy sure knows his math! There is no such thing as an average coaster, because wood and steel give two different types of rides. An average wood coaster would be any John Allen coaster, and an average steel coaster would probably be a Boomerang or a hyper.
  6. Awesome! Now Cedar Fair... invest in a set PLEASE! If they don't work out on SoB, send em over to Mean Streak! uhhhh thats says launch system capable. That kinda scares me about that. What scares you about that? It means it's safer to use than normal trains.
  7. FUNNEL CAKES!!! For the first one, I voted for enjoying lower prices.
  8. Wait, change is falling from the sky? That's dangerous!
  9. So do you think SFoG will reopen? It's looking like it may not.
  10. X-Base should be expanded, and Action Theater should be annexed into it.
  11. *insert video here* Calm down. It can be called both.
  12. I see what you're getting at, but let's not say CP as a park has "practically zero themeing." 2 of their 3 kids areas are pretty heavily themed (I'd say about as much as NU), and the 3rd has a lite (albeit 70's) castle themeing. Two of the major areas of the park are themed, and are both beautifully done (Frontier Town and Frontier Trail, with the trail being much better done than Rivertown IMO). The new games area is aesthetically very pleasing, and several of the new rides are themed fairly well. In fact, the themeing on Disaster Transport (the poster child of CF theme fail) has been worked on this season, and much of the original on ride themeing is back under lights and looking good. Well said IMO, i actually have a lot of faith in CF with the retheme of NU to PS. I will admit though, i will miss nick. The main reason for my faith is that it seems like ever since CF aquired PP, they have gotten better with theming (Disregarding The Crypt) its like they have a bit more of an emphasis on it now. Heck, they even signed a contract with the Dale Earnhardt company to use him in theming. well i dont mean to be a stick in the mud but "they have gotten better with theming" NO WAY!! i think paramount was on top of the theming i have seen a decline in "theming" since CP took over. sorry No, he means that CF has gotten better with theming.
  13. So, I don't know how much platinum passes were last year, but four-packs will be cheaper this year. And they still don't have them on the website... When do they usually go on sale online? I know they are available at the park on public operating days. I just can't get out to KI any more this year.
  14. Keep in mind: before NU, the Best Kids Area award was for both NC and H-B Land. Terpy posted it once, I think.
  15. Rotag, I am proud of you. Your gramor has gotten a lot better! This coming from a guy who can't spell grammor. I think you still mispelled grammer. I think you misspelled grammar, too. DOH!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Thanks for catching that for me. I think Skaterboy and I both need to learn to spell right. No problem.

  17. Actually, it seems like Side A is falling apart too... So if/when CGA is sold, one side's parts will be used in Side B, and the other side's parts will be used as extra parts for both rides.
