  1. Greg Scheid ‏ @KIGMGREG Close KI will be offering a loyalty plan to our season pass holders! Details will follow, but the more you visit/spend the more you receive. https://twitter.com/#!/KIGMGREG
  2. I like this thread. I prefer Cedar Fair prior to the Paramount Park acquisition. I feel they are overextended now and it shows in multiple areas. I personally think each each park has an attraction from Paramount that highlights the best aspect of this era of ownership. Here are my picks: Kings Island: Flight of Fear Great idea, and for the most part effects and atmosphere are easily maintained. Removing the OTSRs were an important move. Carowinds: Afterburn formerly Top Gun One of my favorite B&M inverts, also theming that is functional and maintainable. The Top Gun music would be a great touch here. Kings Dominion: Volcano Excellent repurpose of an exisiting attraction. Again the way the queue winds through the mountain is a great touch and maintainable. Also, one of my favorite coasters at any park. These are the additions that Paramount did the best on in my opinion. These are also the only former Paramount Parks I have visited. What are your favorite Paramount era attractions?
  3. I'm glad. Their Camp Snoopy is run down. It reminds me of the old Peanuts Playground at Cedar Point. The remnants of Berenstein Bear country are still visible. Mostly a playground with a few rides - a revamp would be welcomed.
  4. Great Work! It's nice to see the park still improving this far into the season!
  5. Which Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks still have trams? I know the Busch Grardens have trams but do any of the SeaWorld parks?
  6. That is incorrect. I have been able to get a bit of history regarding SeaWorld Ohio through work. While the Park was successful and popular, it unfortunately was an extremely expensive operation....more so than the other two SW Parks. A lot of this had to do with the costs they took on transporting animals back and forth during the winter months. It was Busch that was looking to sell the park and pull out of Ohio. I was quite surprised to see how many people from the Ohio park became transplants in Orlando...many are still with the company. - Todd Thank you. I have always wondered if that was true. After visiting both Busch Gardens and SeaWorld Orlando I'm sorry I didn't visit the Cleveland park more than once.
  7. It happened to me this weekend at Carowinds as well. Everyone was nice, but it is very annoying. I hope my pass scans at Kings Island on opening day!
  8. I agree. Even PhantomBlasters and the haunted castle - something that is a nod to the history of the park.
  9. I noticed the last year of operation for Geauga Lake Cedar Fair used the film: Lego Racers. I wonder if that is an option for all the Action Theaters?
  10. I just returned from the park a couple hours ago. Loved this park! I think it's a great park for all ages. Roller coasters are not the best part, it's everything: food, shows, animal exhibits . . . I'm typing this on a droid, so no trip report just yet. I definetly recommend this park. Every former Busch park has been wonderful.
  11. Here's my Knott's trip report from earlier this year: http://www.KICentral...showtopic=19350 I enjoyed it, and unfortunately I have not visited Magic Mountain. Also, it's a small park, I rode most everything in 3 hours.

  15. My 7 yr-old niece is thrilled to see a "bigger" Planet Snoopy next year. She loved the one at Cedar Point esp. the kite eating tree. She also liked Nick U but isn't upset that it wont be there next year. I don't know if she will embrace a generic dark ride to replace Scooby though. . . . .
  16. We have one of the larger Six Flags Parks? Are you referring to Kentucky Kingdom?
  17. Good Question! I prefer Carowinds but I am curious to ride I305. So I will go to both.

  21. http://www.screamscape.com/html/california_s_great_america.htm Screamscape is suggesting Knott's screaming swing will go to California's Great America.
  22. No No No No Yes. Many times. It is also one of my niece's favorite rides I also have not entered the glass shop, but have heard it is nice.
  23. I don't remember the Star Trek earth tour. Does anyone have any more info and like to share? Was it there the first year of Paramount ownership only and where was it located?
