  1. I'm really hoping I'll get to make it this year. I just found out I have been accepted into nursing school (RN)..so now my schedule is very much up in the air. Hmm...Perhaps I'll need a mental health day come October. hhehe
  2. It's bad when you are walking down a path, and a kid loses one and either trips you up running in front of you after it...or you almost trip on the ball. It's not so much the bouncing, it's the behavior of the bouncer.
  3. I noticed that on my midnight ride last weekend. I was disappointed there were so many lights. On the other hand, have you ever turned around while going up the lift at night and looked at the park? OMG it was beautiful.
  4. I have to say, that little coaster is awesome in the back seat. My kids love it. I'd say we rode it over a dozen times last weekend, and I had to take turn with each of my girls in the main back seat. Makes me proud *wipes tear* hehhehe
  5. Forgot about this one... On Fairly Oddcoaster "Click it or ticket. It's the law"
  6. I'm looking forward to my first ever Haunt experience on my birthday We are booking the hotel soon, and bringing friends with us...leaving the kids with grandma. It's almost like waiting for Christmas lol...(ok, that's just sad, but yeah..I'm excited)
  7. I noticed this when we were in the area last week, maybe you could check into it "Bring any non-winning Ohio Lottery ticket to Kings Island and receive $15 off adult general admission (limit 6) on any 2009 public operating days."
  8. We were there Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thursday was crowded, Friday was not. Saturday was unbearable, Sunday was extremely pleasant.
  9. Hello I'm relatively new here as well. I feel like I'm at a RA meeting (Roller coasters anonymous) hehe My name is Lelia and I'm addicted to riding. I'm the soon to be 31 year old mama of 3 lovely girls. Just celebrated my 12th anniversary last Sunday. I live a little further away from KI than most on here. I'm in Pike Co, KY..so on a good day, we can make it in 5 hours. Most of the time, it takes 5 1/2 hours. Distance hasn't stopped us from being Gold Pass holders hehehe.. I am probably easy to find in the park. Short woman with a double stroller, 3 little girls, bald hubby and a big ole Nikon around my neck
  10. I really don't mind the pics. We were there Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday..and each day, we took 3 pics. I don't mind. I keep the pink slips and view them online a week or so later, and add them to my album there. Imma workin' on me a collection lol
  11. I'm very grateful for this site. I tell ya, it's hard to find park addicts like myself. And I have found many MANY great tips from here. Where to eat, how to get Preferred Parking cheap, etc. I love it
  12. We used hotwire.com Got a room at La Quinta off exit 19 for $30/night, and that was on a holiday weekend. The hotel was very clean Our trip this week, we used hotwire and got a room in Sharonville (15 minutes away) at Drury Inn & Suites. We had our room from Wed-today for $150. Now that was a nice place. Free hot breakfast (biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon, etc)..free pop and popcorn, free 'adult' beverages from 5:30-7:30pm.. I'd check through them, but you have to go where they place you, you can't choose.
  13. The other day I saw a family on the side of the parking lot in the grass sitting at a portable table eating lunch. I thought it was odd I have never seen a family have a picnic in Kings Islands parking lot but I have seen people in there car eating. When my husband and I were there in June, we were leaving for the evening and one entire row in Preferred Parking was pic-a-nic-ing in the grass. Yogi would have been proud. And judging the parking lot from last night ..on our LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG walk to the end of the parking lot near the gas station, lots of people ate there yesterday. I've never seen so much trash. Really..is it THAT hard to dispose of your garbage?

    Raising riders :)

This is really the first year we've been able to venture out of Nick U with the kiddos and deal with the height thing. I can't wait until a few years from now when they can all ride everything BTW, no offense to Firehawk lovers...it's just not lady friendly lol

Firehawk is the other. The rest she can get on, but will not. I'm not fond of Firehawk, so I completely forgot about the height restrictions on it

I LOVE that tunnel, Does she like( Or think she would like) The Beast at night? Oh she's not ready for that just yet. Now my middle child would if she were tall enough. But yeah. I just took my first ever ride on The Beast at night last night. I think it would terrify her lol. My friend (who is 27) was scared silly. It was hilarious.
  17. you mean the griszwalds lied to me this mornin !!! thats okay they still made me luagh even if they didnt do b.w.t.c. We bought our tickets around 9:45am. The dude selling them was reluctant, but he went ahead. Got up there and it was just us. Everyone was so nice up there, so if you were working up there and are reading this..you made my kids summer. Thank you!

Took my oldest on BLSC today Scared her watching it, but then we got on and she loved it. Except for the dark part. That made her scared. When it was over, she was ready to get on again, but we waited 45 minutes for the first ride and were short on time. Maybe next visit (Labor Day weekend) we can get The Racer in on our agenda. And maybe my middle daughter will grow the inch she needs to make the magic 48"
  19. Today was much better. Unfortunately, we could only stay 3 hours, as my husband is back to work at 3am, and we had a long drive ahead. We did Breakfast with the Characters, and we were the ONLY family up there. We had Spongebob to ourselves. My kids were in heaven. They said today made up for yesterday..but yes. Lesson learned. No more Saturdays in July.
  20. We went to KI yesterday and today. I have a total of 275 pictures. Memorial Day I took close to 400. It's easy to do
  21. I understand the place has to make $, but it is a problem when one must wait a half hour to use the toilet. You just couldn't enjoy yourself today. We barely had a path to walk through Rivertown. Compounded by the fact that we had a stroller, and no one wanted to move out of the way to let us through. We decided to eat at Rivertown Junction since everything was so jam packed...well, the people in line for Diamondback would not let us through. They thought we were gonna skip line, with three small kids. We waited and waited. The lady at the cash register finally asked if we were going to dine in there, we told her yes and she made them move. Not without many boo's from other people. I mean c'mon, was it THAT bad to let a family go in a restaurant to eat? Shows were a no go as well. KI Theater was packed to the gills. I am not one to complain about things, especially crowds at parks. I know it can be common...but today was ridiculous. When it takes 28 minutes to walk from the front gate to your vehicle...that's sort of bad, ya know?
