Huh. never knew that. interesting
-
Yea so on this site, http://capital2.capital.edu/admin-staff/dalthoff/almanac.txt they have this under April 21: Press day for {The Bat,} a prototype suspended roller coaster from Arrow/Huss, at Kings Island (Kings Mills, Ohio). I've never heard that huss had something to do with the ride. Does anyone know what part they had in it? I think it all makes sense as to why the ride sucked now...jk

becuase its not. why would it be? just becuase it shares the same name?? And by 'taking off' he just means dispatching. dont take it so literally...common you know the thing never launched.
-
Yea it will look the same. They've retracked that tihng like 10 times its not like its anything new.
-
Ladies and gentleman for your safety we ask that you please do not sit stand climb or swim on any of the metal handrails. thank you and enjoy the rest of your stay with us at paramoutns Kings Island, home to the world famous Adventure Express, the number one mine-cart coaster in america.

Dude what are you talking about. Your rambling incoherently. Hardly any rides have been removed...especially coasters, when compared to other parks. And Cedar Point?!!!!! they've removed 13 of their coasters. go to rcdb.com and look at the ones they took out. http://rcdb.com/locationdetail1.htm And dont get ****y becuase some rides have been taken out. they dont do it to **** you off, they all have legit reasons behind it.

Dude i dont know what you're talking about...increased wieght speeds them things up (woodies especially) ALOT.

What's new, coaster wise, for PKI?
BoObKiNoS replied to Beastly Terror Rider's topic in Coming Attractions
You dont know that. I require evidence to support such ridiculous claims. -
I think that is correct, but am not sure. To the best of my knowledge, the first weekend (the 2nd and 3rd) are going to be dry run days/media days/something else that isnt season pass preview. Although i'm not sure.
-
Naw why would you ever think a thing like that???
-
Thats some good sh*t right there.
-
Yea i know. im just joking. Very impressive on his part though, i must add.

I dissagree. With nothing to back up my statements, it is my personal belief, and the belief of the general population of the crews i served on that the ride is supposed to not necissarily be rough, but somewhat jerky - going along with the whole runaway mine train theme. I do not think that it is smooth at all...the thing throws you around quite a bit. You can even hear the grinding of the wheels before the helix when it hits that high point as it goes over the finale tunnel. As the back whips around you hear the strain on the wheels. I also would have to respectfully disagree with the space in the trains. I think they're some of the most spacious trains in PKI. Especially but not limited to the front of a car, you have an immense amount of leg room. Comfortable?? i personally think they are but i guess thats a matter of opinion.

WRONG. The correct one is as follows: Welcome back riders, we hope you enjoyed your ride, please push down then pull up on the lap bars, exit to your right, walk down the exit ramp and have a nice day at Paramount's Kings Island, oncoming riders, please step into the seats directly in front of you, welcome, to the Son of Beast, for your safety, please secure all loose items, please remain seated keeping your hands arms and legs inside the car at all times, now sit up straight hold on tight and enjoy your ride.
-
Adventure Express is not supposed to be smooth. You are on a runaway mine cart. Haven't you ever seen indiana jones, and the mine cart chase seen. Do you think they had a smooth ride?

Yea you guys are all crazy...the thing definitley does not need a paint job.

darn dude you better be getting a 4.0 with all that studying. Two of my roommates are in DAAP, and one is a biomedical engineer applying to medical school, and they still hold jobs and generally dont do anything on weekends except sunday night. I dont know, if you seriously cant hold down one 8 hour shift a week until finals i would seriously think about it. Becuase they might just tell you to come back when you can work and then apply. Now as long as you promise them one day a week in pre season you'll be good. And of course if you do need a certain weekend off you can request for it. But i'm not saying dont apply...just go up there and ask them about it. We are always looking for poeple, plus tell them how you've worked at coney and you love coasters, that won't hurt.

Haha yea im sorry bout making you move that one time man.

Yea i know, im just wondering how they do it. Do they have people repelling down with paint brushes i mean, i'm just curious.
