Where did you hear that???? That is nuts, are you crazy? I've never heard of such a thing.

For pete's sake people. Top Gun isnt going anywhere. In the 2001 season it had the 7th highest number of riders in the park. Let me think here... out lof like 50 some rides or something like that...i doubt the 7th most popular is leaving. Thats just absurd. The only reason it didnt do good in 2002 was becuase it was under one train operation for a good deal of time. And i dont know about this past year yet. I also voted other - and that other goes towards Beast too.

SOB's lift his is 218 feet. Not 215 ft. Also it goes 78.3 mph to be exact.

That building is supposed to be haunted. Its commonly known as the 'powder factory' and is the site of many people triyng to go into it at night on dares about it being haunted.

OK, nothing to do with PKI, and i honestly dont know the answer, but why did they go bankrupt? How does a company such as them who has coasters running all over the darn place loose money. X was a huge project for them...did they spend too much money designing and making it? I dont get it. I've worked on an arrow coaster for 3 years....and i am a huge fan. Does anyone know exactly what happened? I know S&S bought them out and all...but what happened that forced them to file chapter 11? Anyone know... i'm just curious.

Thats a good theory.

Yes it was up for sale for 1.1 million dollars. It makes sense to try to make a little money off of it

What about a screaming squirrel family coaster?

I've ridden the darn thing. And let me say, i dont think god ever intended us to build things that high and fast. But putting that aside...its the best thing i've ever ridden. Holy sh*t is it a rush. It is something else. And i'm saying this through my teeth, becuase i HATE Cedar Point. I HATE them with a freaking passion. I hope their little park sinks into the darn lake. Seriously, no one can posibly hate them more than me. So for me to say its a good ride takes something. Dont knock it becuase its 17 seconds or whatever it is. Becuase its the most intense 17 seconds on this darn planet. -
Nobodys going to care - i mean seirously...think about it. who in high school cares about roller coasters except a few dorks like us?

With the exception of pre-season (meaning in the start of june ) they worked all the time last year. in all respect, i'm pretty sure i would know.
-
In all respect, what themeing was taken away to make room for those adds? Nothing was taken away, just something was added. And the spiles go off on the lift and the ready breaks...all the time...not just sometimes.

That is an awesome question...and boy do i have some stories that would go along with that...haha but yea, cant say most of them becuase i would be putting my job at jeporady. The worst thing on a daily basis?!? Thats hard. If your talking strictly coasters (becuase being a supervisor has its own nightmares that come day by day) i would say there are some scenarios when a ride experiences a 'minor delay' that could be considered nightmares...haha but that doesnt happen day by day. I cant think of one thing that happens every day that is just horrible. The job is awesome..i mean its not like every day your coaster does something to **** you off and is worthy of 'nightmare' status. Yea the worst thing thats ever happened to me on the job, cant really talk about it if i could pin point something...but yea its not a bad job at all...nothing i can think of is really horrible. Come back and ask me sometime in like 5 years when im not employed there lol

The little miami river is a state and national scenic river, therfore, considering one whole side of pki's big square block of land is bordered on the little miami, i do not think they can develop that close to the river, unless the government considers theme rides a scenic view.

Speaking of decline in guest service, i know only of one thing that ****es me off the most about being a busy day. It's your freaking food carts and how you wheel them dang things into my queues at SOB and you throw all your darn boxes either: A. on the ground. or B. You throw them, not broken up, into our trash cans, causing them to rapidly fill, and soon, they are overflowing. Yea, and while we're at it, you guys are the people that need a service adjustment. I came down there once on my way to gun, and one of your dudes was sitting there in uniform behind the comfort of his lemon-chill-mobile smoking a big ol fat ciggarette. Hell yea he was. I told him to put it out, and he just looked at me like i was some kinda idiot. Yea, and you guys sit on the rails all the freaking time too....if guests see you guys sitting on the rails, and we make an announcement to them to get off...what do you think they're going to do. OOH yea, one more thing...i paged a food manager like 3 times this year for this. You guys open our darn queues. That ticks me off. What if we dont want our queues open, they're are sometimes where we arent supposed to open them, or choose not to, but know, that doesnt phase your cigarette smoking rail sitting pieces of crap. Yea...so maybe its not just rides employees that need a service adjustment.

lol if that isnt the truth

The rides usually have multiple computers, at least the coasters do. They use a proogramming language called PLC (Programmable Logic Code) or something like that.

I agree. Without Coney Island there would be no Kings Island. Its a fun place to spend a few hours. A couple minutes maybe.
-
who cares about gas lights??
-
haha Oh YEAA thats right. Wow, how could i forget, lol.
-
No need to do that with you...you work at coney island. nuff said
-
I dont know about you guys but if i were a guest...id pay $5 a pass to not have a gold pass...
-
yea i know, i was just kidding. In all honesty, id work there for minimum wage.

Personally tunnels would of been nice. But we wont see those. New trains in the future??? VERY doubtfull, especially with the padded lap bars we got this year. Plus look at it this way...every single coaster in the park is operating with its original trains. In something like The Racer's case, its trains are 32 years old now. So yea, being that this will be the ride's 5th year...dont see new trains anytime soon. Plus, anyone who knows anything about the TG situation that i will not explain, knows that a new train isnt something thats cheap. Let's just say you could buy King Cobra for the price of a new train. Do they want to spend that kind of money???? I dunno. Maybe. They should, grant it we all know that, but will they. Not likley. So everyone, get over it, the ride is going to have those trains for a while. Something i would actually like to see added is a little more rock and bumps to the ride...i mean a wood coaster is supposed to be a lil bouncy right??
-
Guess not, considering the AZ and Coney sound track is the exact same there smarto. It's cool though...i forgive you. Umm...dont forget Girls just wanna have fun. Also they play friends twice back to back so make sure you put it on there twice. And...darn i listen to that crap all day why cant i remember anymore...i dunno...they're all stupid songs anyways.

Wont ever happen. the reason the shows were taken out was becuase they realized that they can make more money buy just having people eat there than by having shows...and they do. Funny how that works isnt it. True story though.
