  1. ITs mason, the park doesnt claim to be in Kings Island OH....or at least ive never heard them claim that. It's all mason, and darn warren county rakes in on the cash from that place with taxes...why do you think mason is like all pretty and crap. darn taxes
  2. Honestly people, what do you expect from a wood coaster going 78.3 miles per hour??? Crap, I mean I've ridden wood coasters like Wolfbob or whatever at Worlds of Adventure that only go like 50 mph that are rougher. Get over it people...the ride is rough, its in the nature of a wood coaster, especially one going that dang fast. And as far as i'm concerned no one is going to get hurt, HECK, I've never EVER heard of anyone getting hurt on SOB.
  3. Actaully this is incorrect on Arrow coasters. Express, Gun, and Vortex use 'air bags'. When inflated with air, the brakes close, and once air is let loose, the brakes open...hence chain and chalking trains. BUT in a power outage you dont loose air pressure, just the ability to pressurize more air.
  4. There is no rust on top gun, its the old red paint that is starting to show.
  5. Ive said it once and ill say it again, WHO CARES
  6. Slingshooter and CoasterRz are right. Mars, you are wrong. Tower is 314 feet, just like the spiel says, and Drop zone is 315 feet, just like the operator told Slingshooter. They are one foot apart, and drop zone is the taller one. And yes, it does only drop you from 264 feet, although for some reason i thought it was 265 but i am not entirely sure so im not going to argue over one foot. ALTHOUGH i will argue over the hieght of tower and dropzone, becuase i am absolutley positive i am right, and that you are most definitley, so sad to say it, but wrong. Love, ME
  7. Incorrect. Its something like 315 for drop zone and 314 for tower. They are only one foot apart, the atenna on tower was cut down just so they could promote drop zone to be the tallest thing in the park. Betcha didnt know that

Why do you people, especially your staff people on this site always say that?? What if he was new to the boards, is it expected of him to go through all freaking 7 pages of threads on like each board?? I dont get it why you couldnt of just told him real quick. And yes, AE is underrated. At least someone appreciates it.
  9. NAW dudes, listen to this stuff!!! SOB was open today with one train only....AND i heard a rumor from this guy who knows someone who works in potato works who heard it from a guy that sells lemon chills (haha yea i know thats a lot of people) that they're finally going to put the third train on it!! wont that be awesome. Kinda seems reasonable too, i mean it was designed to run with 3. -Still refusing to believe that SOB valleyed
  10. First of all, why do you care mr. security guard?? You know what bugs me most, is when you darn security guards yell at associates for their wardrobe...its none of your business...if it bugs you to the point where you want to do something about it (which it shouldnt) then tell their supervisor/manager...becuase it sure aint your business. We even have a nickname for one of your fellow security co-workers, and its 'the nametag nazi', becuause he is insane about that stuff. On a side note, everything you said i agree with. Employees should not be walking around like that, whether off the clock or on, becuase guests dont know whether or not your clocked in. I make this point all the time.
  11. Nope, cant see it EVER happening. Refusing to believe.
  12. I dont think SOB has EVER valleyed. Them trains run so dang fast whether there is people on them or not, i dont think it is possible. Even in the morning when they arent that warm, heck, I bet if the mid course brakes stopped you there they would still be plenty fast enough Love, Me
  13. Yea its just that theres more to ride...i mean all of Action Zone is practically new. Almost every ride never has more than a 30 min wait on weekdays, except maybe FOF.
  14. Deal with it, there is going to be trims on the ride. Its there to protect the track...the ride is like 20 some years old you know
  15. Ya just tell an employee about it, and the situation will be taken care of. Becuase most lines are not activley monitored, its hard for employees to know when people line jump, we rely on guests telling us.
  16. Yea there still there, and on usually all the time. Its random and theres like 7 different bits that come and go with the music. It talks about how track 2 has been closed 'indefinitley' due to the collapse of the bongo bridge. Before the first tunnel theres a sign saying 'Track 2 Closed'. And theres one about boarding the 'Trans-mountain run to outpost 5'. Look on the side of the SOB station as your entering line...it has a big 'Outpost 5' Painted on it. Coincedence??? I've always wondered. And theres another one that goes something about firearms needing to be checked as luggage. I used to have all of them memorized when i worked on the ride...as i'm writing this i'm kinda dissapointed i cant remember them word for word anymore.
  17. I dont know what you all talkin bout, Fridays arent busy this year at all... no more than a thursday or wednesday
  18. I think its still there, its sharing a stage right now with vibe. I never understood why people liked it anyways. They pay like 40 some dollars to get into the park then sit there and watch their selves sing. AND most of them suck. I dont get it
  19. Doesnt mean its any smoother. SOB's trains where designed differently than any previous wood coaster...it was claimed as new technology by premier rides, and was supposed to make a smoother ride, but i know some would argue with that now
  20. Room for improvement? What do you expect from a wood coaster going 78 mph?? What do you want them to do? They walk the track every single morning and its way more than well maintained. There's really not much they can do unless they want to re track the thing every day.
  21. You better watch out sparks, SOB/GUN has 4 and is looking to take Delirium/Shot down.
  22. Ralph??? You mean Bub?
  23. Yes, the restraints have been fixed since may. And I think most of you are not taking into account where you sit at when you ride it. If you are sitting on top of a road wheel, it will be severly rough, especially towards the middle. IF you are sitting in the middle seat of a car (where there is no road wheel below you) it will be 200% smoother. Garanteed. The smoothest of all seats is car 6, seat 2. Then its Car 1, seat 2. If you sit in one of those seats, then get right back on and sit in, say, car 3 seat 3, you will think you are on a different ride.
