  1. The announcements normally happen early to mid-August. With footings being poured up until the announcement. Track will normally not come until after the announcement is made.
  2. Holy moly the things you all think of absolutely amaze me!
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think B&M works on this part of the construction. Am I right?
  4. So is the general consensus that Gatekeeper is the weakest of the WingRiders?
  5. I've never ridden a Wing Rider, but they look fun. People on here speak otherwise, so I will have to ride one to see if they live up to my hype.
  6. Oh yes. It will break a record. "The longest Coaster West of the Ohio River and East of the Indiana Border!" Their is always a record to be broken! You do realize that would still be the longest coaster in North America, if it is bigger then The Beast. I was just being facetious...

  8. I do see how that can be very annoying to people who work at the city offices!
  9. I agree there are two sides. I never made the assumption that your viewpoint is wrong!
  10. If you do not agree with it, just don't get involved. It's a simple as that! And I doubt the whole coaster theme, layout, and name would be found in one public place. If it were to be found, this early, it would probably give very subtle details. I could be incorrect though.
  11. Had to laugh at Splintercat. That name is wretched! Good decoding though; I love when people post ideas like that. Now, going back to this great Game 7 (hoping for that OKC win!!!).
  12. What I find most interesting is the trees marked for removal between the WWC queue...
  13. I had to quote this because I too feel the same way when reading the responses on this forum. No one should speak down or belittle someone for opinions, even if you work at the park. Correcting one is welcome, and I think needed, but sometimes the tone at which this is done is not very friendly. I encourage everyone to come at this discussion with a welcoming and friendly attitude! And back to the speculation that I learn so much about from you ALL!
  14. I completely agree. I think it is very fortunate that the kid is safe and no humans were injured. It could have very easily been different! If I were in charge I would have done the same thing.
  15. I saw a commercial for it today; it's nice they are getting additions.
  16. That's what I first thought when I saw that clearing; it just doesn't seem wide enough for a coaster. But there is still plenty of time for development, and most of you all know much more about these processes than I do! That's why I normally just sit back and read this thread! It is great entertainment!
  17. Leviathan vs Fury 325Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Which one is considered the small one? Serious question not being an a**.
  18. I don't think you can take anything from his reaction to that question. It was oddly phrased, and even if it wasn't, he knows how to respond to questions like that. Just have to wait and see!
  19. Maybe these "keys" will make up some of what the new ride will have? The Diamondback ones show the drop, and the splashdown. I have not seen the Firehawk snap yet, but possibly flying? For about the 8 millionth time. The park's Snap Chat is filled with various bits of "hip millenial" social media lingo. The "major key" thing is nothing more than an attempt to gear the Snap Chats toward that specific audience. It's got nothing to do with keyholes or splash downs or ride interactions. http://time.com/4172848/dj-khaled-keys-to-success/ http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/22/arts/music/for-dj-khaled-snapchat-is-a-major-key-to-success.html http://www.theroot.com/blogs/the_grapevine/2016/01/dj_khaled_is_taking_over_snapchat_one_major_key_alert_at_a_time.html There's also Urban Dictionary if you're interested in further explanation. I won't link to that though since this is a family friendly site. This is your opinion; unless you work for the park, you do not know that this is a fact. You are stating it as if it was a fact. I'm not saying I disagree with you, but I do think that should be noted. It could be a clue, or it could be what you are referring to.
  20. I think it's interesting that the beyond 90 degree, (inward) drop hasn't taken off on large coasters like hypers or gigas. The 111 degree drop on Wild Hawg is pretty amazing. I can't imagine that on a 200 footer. It makes me wonder if it is not possible with a coaster of that height; possibly not structurally safe...
  21. Doesn't all "giga" coasters feel like the drop will never end? I don't see much difference between 300-320'. I guess you could say that yes; I just really enjoyed Fury.
  22. Fury 325 may be the best ride I've ever experienced. the first drop feels like its never ending. Regardless of what KI gets, I'm glad Carowinds received that much needed addition!
