A lot of Don's hints have hinted towards baseball. Could we be looking at a coaster based off of baseball, Like Intimidator and I305 are based off of nascar. This could always be a possibility, but he could also be talking about something not even related to the construction.

I'm starting to agree with you. Early on I was leaning towards a Giga, but now it does look like it may be a Invert. Before someone attacks me I don't have an inside scoop, just a guess.

Guys, I don't know this, but I seriously seriously doubt that they are moving Slingshot back. This is far to much work for such a little amount of extra space. It would be a waste of time and money.

The WindSeeker thing was a big deal. They were up there for like 4 hours. Thats along time especially if someone has medical problems. This was 10-15 min. I just don't kow why this is on the news....

Glad you had fun. I went to KD in 2009 and I loved it. I also can't believe you didn't like Dominator. It's one of my personal favorites. I need to get back up there and ride I305..

I agree. Yeah, I agree with you guys. I don't know why, but I never really have got the coaster "awe" experience with Inverts. Ive ridden some goods ones like Alpengeist and Raptor, and Im just not a fan. I think it is becasue unless your in the front seat, you don;t see much.

Well, those are both very good pictures and if you want my personal opinion I think they are right. Even though this doesn't tell us what type of coaster, we may be one step closer to starting to learn the layout.

I honestly think that the break run, transfer track and station will all be in one line (unlike Diamondback) where the bulk of the footers are being poured right now. That is the side of the the old TA spot thats closest to the bathroom and Extreme Skyflier.

Right..because there is no grass under Vortex, Firehawk, or Adventure Express.I honestly can't think of why grass is such a telling sign of where the construction will/will not be. Did they plant grass when they built Diamondback? No. When your building a house do you put grass seed down to make it look pretty during construction, No. No moron would plant grass to just ruin it with construction equipment. And Vortex, and every other coaster, has grass under it becuase its OLD and theres no construction going on there now. Now if it was just weeds that is nothing, but if they specifically planted grass seed???

I dont like that thing about the grass seed by SoB's Rose Bowl. That was a large part of what we thought was the construction site. If they are planting grass seed that is almost a sure sign it will not be going back there. That just proves we have to wait until August to find out.

Why do people get angry at speculation? That is one thing I just don't get. You say that you don't understand why people are guessing and speculating for the new ride, but that is what your doing here. You don't know that the track is not going to Kings Island. None of us on this site, excluding Don, have any idea what this ride is. But, we try to guess and draw conclusions. That is what makes this site so enjoyable and this thread so popular.I'm not trying to pick on you. I know you are a well respected poster and do not want to make you angry. Hope it didn't come off this way.

I would be so happy if we got an Intimidator 305 type ride.

I don't think schools up there are out yet, but its a weekend so it will be fairly crowded. I don't think it will be as bad as a summer weekend though. It also depends on the weather! Don't forget that! I hope you have fun!

And I enjoy the job he does, he truly understands the "dance" . He does such a good job keeping our interest while not spoiling the "Moment". I feel like he choose the word "dive" on purpose just to make people on this site hopeful for a Dive Machine.

Why? What's so bad about coaster enthusiasts speculating on a new ride and getting excited about it? Yeah maybe are thoughts go off on tangents every so often buts it's all in fun. We enjoy the thought of what's going on here and want to try to put the clues together.

I know this is just a drawing and its probably very inaccurate. But I just got bored today and drew up something that a B&M might look like in this area. Ill probably draw an Intamin (Maverick type) tomorrow. And I know, it looks a lot like Diamondback.

Don also said that they currently have no plans for the land occupied by SoB in August when they announced the demise of SoB. Obviously this was not true because of what we are seeing now. But, that is part of his job. If he said we have something in mind and we are probably going to use SoB's station for the project, there is not much of a surprise, is there?

Great Trip Report. I always have great respect for someone who will take their time to a write a good thorough PTR. I never do because mine would be bland and pathetic because I wouldn't put in the time. Great job! EDIT: Sorry but I had to make a comment on the construction picture you posted. It really looks like an out and back style coaster like DB where it would have a Hammerhead or something where SoBs Rose Bowl was. When Im bored I will look at the pictures and try to imagine a probably coaster that will go there. Im having trouble seeing how the queue, entrance, station, and transfer track will fit where TA was.

I have a new diagnosis: Giga itis I so misread this at first. I got some Giga Tits too. Oh wait, Nevermind.......
