  1. Didn't Kings Island say there was going to be an announcement this summer? Who thinks it will involve SoB?
  2. I was there last Sunday and it was unbearable..... But, it was Trills and Thrills which is an awful day to go. Its also supposed to be sunny and 90 degrees at KI this Sunday. So Id say it will be pretty crowded, but you never know...
  3. Wouldnt you have to have heaver trains to fit on the steel tracks? Wasnt that the original problem with SoB w/ loop? The trains were too heavy and the track could not hold it, right? I really hope they will decide to save SoB, but the final choice is still up in the air.
  4. It looks like its not running all trains. But I may be wrong. Don't quote me on that…
  5. On the webcam it is at the top of the ride cycle.
  6. I agree with that. The question is what year will this happen?
  7. Anybody have any pictures of SoB or of its station? I really want to see it, really miss it!
  8. Not trying to be argumentative, but did we? - I don't recall any info being shared about it not opening with the park for the season - After it didn't open, I heard Knotts was also down - New ones and Cedar Point all opened on time Maybe I missed something, but it caught me by surprise. Carowinds opened their new (2012) WindSeeker the end of March with the new shock absorbers and it was known (but perhaps not here- other sites- namely CB: http://coasterbuzz.c...-its-WindSeeker http://coasterbuzz.c...-fun-than-scary http://www.KICentral...__fromsearch__1 that discussed it) about all the WindSeekers being updated. There is just not enough days to properly test the two new WS (as well as test the new shock absorbers), make the decision to use the new shock absorbers on the older models, manufacture the new shock absorbers, and then update the 2011 models- KI just happens to be last on the list. They had all offseason to update the 2011 models because the new shocks were used on the Knott's version from the day it opened in August. That's what I thought too. But I'm sure it's nothing big *Knocks on wood.... DB was down for mechanical issues briefly on opening day this year, though that downtime could easily be confused for a weather issue since they went down just minutes before everything went down for lightning and were back up shortly after other rides got the all clear. So it was down for less than an hour. Id say that B and M is such a reliable company it will be up within the next week. Unlike Delirium,,,,,
  9. I agree with you Jasper. I think Don is a great guy. He always seems so pleasant when I see him in the park.
  10. That's what I thought too. But I'm sure it's nothing big *Knocks on wood....
  11. Is this the first time that DB has been closed for an actual problem? I know B and M's are very reliable. And still, one minor part for three hard years of operation is still very good!
  12. OK I think this is right. 5 stands for the car that you are in. I beleive there are 2 rows per car. (If this is hard to understand then a car is every time there is a break in the train). The 2 stands for the row number in the car. So you should sit in the fifth car, in the first row, and you will see a big difference! Please feel free to correct me if I have my facts wrong.
  13. They introduced an internet fee of $5 this year. That might be it....
  14. Isnt it 6-1 thats the place to be on Vortex? If it is try that seat next time, big difference!
  15. Just been once and Im still level one. Those are some pretty good prizes for just buying food if you ask me! I will definitely use this system a lot!
  16. I was at the park, but didnt stay long. The park was packed!!! One of the busiest days Ive seen! Didnt get to go to the Water Park though...
  17. I was there tonight. It was not running. It was testing. Well, just sitting about a 1/4 up the ride, just the same as before the ride opened last year.
  18. Ill be there Saturday, but probably wont take the VIP tour...
  19. Hey, Im leaving Friday and going to the park Friday and Saturday for the Run. Is anyone else planning on attending the JDRF run?
  20. I looked it up an it said approximately 12 people die a year from coasters, (this includes not following safety rules, or deaths due to the ride even if they die some time after the ride.) So that would equal .033 (repeating) deaths a day by rollercoasters. Doesnt seem too likely...
  21. Are you joking! Cardboard!!! That is definitively a big down to me! I love getting my pass out to look at it. Bummer...
  22. That sounds cool! Wonder if you get discounts as you rank up?
