From the view I have at my oh so lovely cubical, I can see that something is going on with Wind Seeker. Looks like it did a cycle rather then just hang out at the top this time. Looks to be a promising sign.

How long does it take to get your pass processed?
TromaKing replied to mccarthysnerd's topic in KI Polls
When I got mine processed the day before the park opened, it was about 20 minutes from time I got out of my car till the time I got back into my car. We got 2 pictures retaken and a first time pass processed. -
No worries thanks for the info

Thank you. What is the size in comparison to Penn Station?

I wonder what the kid was looking at when he said "that one looks scarier then this one"?

Has anyone reading this post had the Philly cheese steak yet, that would mind expressing how it was and how much it cost?

Well there isnt much to like about it at this time. Maybe looking at the structure or maybe the beautiful brown color? During HH you could enjoy the haunt that is put in the station, but for now it is just a bunch of wood to look at.

There are restrooms on Flight Deck? That explains why the seat is always wet when I sit down.

Honorable mention for The Slaughter House WOOT WOOT

As the actual Haunt does not happen on Sundays, I would suggest you take the kiddies on a Sunday. Everything is open and for the most part the park is empty. Friday haunt starts just before the park opens and the kiddies would probably be scared before you get through the turnstyle if you get there at opening. I cant tell you much about the day time on Saturdays as I am usually busy with my kids doing sporting events.

KI & Miami Valley Railroad 1980 magazine article
TromaKing replied to standbyme's topic in Kings Island
This was a really cool article. I think it would be really cool to see an compare and contrast as to the maintenance of when the article was written and now. One would hope that as much pride was taken on the trains as once was, however based on how the scenery has been neglected over the years I wonder if the detail on the trains has been as well. -
Growing up I remember it being The Beastie. I am having trouble remembering what it was called between the time it was The Beastie to the time it was the Fairly Add Parents something. However I do distinctly remember that they had a Mystery Machine Ride photo booth at the exit.

KI & Miami Valley Railroad 1980 magazine article

This is really neat cant wait to see more. I so miss the days of when the train was actually like this and not just an easy way to get from the dry park to the wet park. -
Let me play devil's advocate here for a minute. You may be comparing apples and oranges there, and here's why: Those guests in the FL would, without FL, all be in the regular line, making the regular line longer. It might be that the wait time in a given situation is the same as it would be without FL, only that the the line is physically shorter (because guests are split between two lines instead of all being in one line) and thus misleading you as to what the wait time without FL would be. Does that make sense? This would only account for people in the Fast Lane pre getting in line. Wait times will be increased due to people getting in line after someone get in line. I'm not against the Fast Lane pass in any way but I do not agree that the wait times are not affected. But while it does not account for people who pass you in the FL after you're in line, think about people who used FL and rode before you got in line but who would have otherwise, without FL, still been in line ahead of you when you got in line. At first glance, those people, taken alone, should shorten your wait compared to no FL because they're no longer in line. Those people will likely be similar in number to the people who get in the FL after you enter the standby line and who, taken alone, lengthen your wait, and I would guess that those two factors cancel each other out nicely, leaving my previous explanation still valid. That argument is the same as saying, if there were only one single line, to think about the people that rode at 10AM when I get into line at 5PM. They have already been through and forgotten about. Those rides would have went weather I was in line or not. Anyone entering the FL post me getting into the standby line increases my wait by their ride.Basically the same as if I were waiting in line and decide to let someone in front of me to ride with their larger group. My wait time increases by 1 train cycle.

Please not another vampire themed haunt. They already have Club Ho errrrrrrrrrrr Blood.

Everyone is greedy. I have yet to meet a person that goes to work and on pay day hand their check back to their employer and say "no thanks I got enough money right now". Or come raise time say nah you know what you keep this extra money I don't really need it. I may not chose to use the Fast Lane pass when I go to KI. But when I go to Haunted attractions I will take them up on their Fast Lane option, because I know that once KI.s haunt starts I will not be able to attend any more and I want to be able to get as many in as possible before then.

The metal detectors never really bothered me. Mostly because they were just there for show. They had them turned down pretty low or completely turned off most the time. The extra couple seconds it would take to get through wasn't that big of a deal. Basically the same as going to a concert or sporting event anymore. I have traveled to places where you couldn't even walk into a mall without being scanned and sometimes patted down. I had a car drop me at the hotel where my bags were sniffed by dogs and the car was examined for bombs. I'm not going to be one to complain about the very slight inconvenience of the metal detectors out in front of KI. But this leads to another question, will KI be posting the no guns allowed for the conceal carry folks? Not that I would really wanna be packing on a coaster, but I am kinda curious on KI's stand on the issue.

I never realized the wave pool was heated

I do enjoy a nice ride on WWC, however it was nicer before all the added shooters from the crowd. People used to get a lot wetter by the person up in the tower.

Hmmmmmm you know, just thinking out loud here. I would not see how taking a pic of the pic in the ride photo place could be frowned on, As I have never received any type of compensation for using my likeness to receive a profit by the park. I'm sure that I have been in more then 1 photo that has been sold by KI for profit to someone other then myself.

I heard that they took the loop out of the Son of The Beast because I died halfway through the loop. Oh wait.......

I completely agree with the WindSeeker thing. That is the only ride at KI that gets my heart pumping like it does.
