I just checked WLWT's "Your Top 5" stories voting page, and in the Top 10, there is: "Kings Island to get new rollercoaster for 2007." That's big news... to many who don't live on these forms. Tune in to Channel 5 at 5 PM. http://www.wlwt.com/news/10444281/detail.html

I don't think Stealth was a Paramount movie, so technically, Cedar Fair could re-use the Stealth name. Not suggesting that they necessarily should, but that they probably can.
-
Yes, Kings Island now has a little bit of Cedar Point!
-
Good thing I grabbed screenshots of the new CF-style logos. Don't worry, they'll be back. They'll be back!!!....

Are you sure these aren't just regular-sized MINI Cooper convertibles?

Seeing as how no one has a physical season pass yet, no official announcement has been made, the sign off the high way still has Paramount with a mountain, the brown road side sigs nhave not changed, and the letter I received today have a Paramount letter head and symbol on them, there is no writing on the wall, and no hard proof, that Paramount has been removed from the park. Having also gone in the HR office and seen one of the papers showing this new logo, is proof that Paramount is indeed being removed from the park, if not quickly. Also on the way back to Cincinnati before you go threw the tunnels you will see a sign for River Front. Ohio has alot of old signs still up. Yeah, the brown signs that say "Stadium Coliseum," with the icons of Riverfront Coliseum and Riverfront Stadium. Technically, there is a "Stadium" on the riverfront, and that building that used to be called Riverfront Coliseum...

Go to Human Resources and apply for a job. There's a certain word missing from the papers...

"I heard your dad went into the new restaurant and ate everything in the new restaurant and they had to close the new restaurant."

KK To Announce Jan 26
CoastersNSich replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
If they're saying that the water park expansion is the biggest investment in the park's 17-year history, it must really be something! Their B&M Standup, Chang (1997), sure wasn't cheap. -
Other than using the water park, and I assume, the Club Den, you don't have to be a resort guest to do most of the Lodge's activities, including dining, playing in the arcade, and buying something at the gift shop.

If $19.99 is a nutty price for 27 pictures then Yes It's not like you always take pictures in a wet environment, so $20 isn't too bad for the opportunity IMO.

Thanks for the full report! The POVs are sure nice too. ...Especially when wearing street clothes. I walked through on Christmas Day and the kids in the play structure barely missed me. Some others who I know were "just looking" weren't so lucky.

What would YOU like to see in Kings Island?
CoastersNSich replied to TheBEASTFreak's topic in KI Polls
I sometimes call the place SEKI - Somebody Else's Kings Island. Especially towards others that still say Paramount or PKI - informally. -
Add Kings Dominion to the list... http://www1.paramountparks.com/kingsdomini...tions/index.cfm And Great America... http://www3.paramountparks.com/greatameric...tions/index.cfm And I checked Kings Island and Carowinds' "Rides and Attractions" pages - same thing! Ladies and Gentlemen, the writing is on the wall.
-
You mean that they're not adding it to Renegade at Valleyfair!? D'oh!
-
... and it doesn't break down on you when you make it to the station.
-
They could rename it "The Grove of Eglantine." It would sorta have the same "theme" as BLMR. Also, it wouldn't be the first time Cedar Fair named a coasters at one of their parks after a Styx song.
-
I don't see anything listed for Jan. 26... They moved the "Major Announcement" thing under the "Announcements" section on the front page... If indeed this announcement happens on the 26th, it will be just before ACE No Coaster Con the day after (which I may be attending).
-
Who said this was the official new logo yet? You're right, they're keeping the current PKI logo. This "new logo" is just for shiggles.
-
Cool, then I answered your original question. Wonder if there'll be Snoopy plushes and other Peanuts stuff in at least one of the stores?
-
I remember seeing Peanuts cartoons plaing in Animation Station a few times. I'm not sure what the original post meant - playing the music in the gift shops? That I don't think I ever heard.

Kings Island. Mountain-Shattering Fun! Come Celebrate Kings Island's Mountain-Shattering 35th Anniversary! Our website is still PKI.com, but the "P" now stands for something in our waterpark's wave pool. What a Surprise! Paramount's Gone! We dropped the "Paramount" because we want NOTHING to do with Tom Cruise! Our 35th Anniversary is something we've been waithing 15 years for! Based on Previous Slogans" Where Thrills are No Longer Paramount. (1994) Where the Magic of No Movies meets the Thrills of a Lifetime! (1993) The Best of Hollywood Entertainment. Now Playing. Somwhere Else. (2004-06) Now that we're Paramount-free, There's No Better Time! (2002-03) Now that we're Paramount-free, You Can Let Yourself Go! (1992) Kings Island is now a Cedar Fair Entertainment Center. Life Should Always Be This Good! (1995)

I wish they had brought back the one from 1972-92, but I'll take it. They gave the Paramount symbol a pink slip, that's what matters...

What roller coaster in your opinion had its best year ever? Maybe The Beast - it gave some great rides... What thrill ride in your opinion had its best year ever? Drop Zone - I got a surprising number of rides on it this year... What was the best thing that happened this year at Kings Island? The sale to Cedar Fair - this should lead to some great improvements, and eventually a better-than-ever park. What restaurant had the best food? The conversion of Wings Diner to a buffet was a welcome change. Maybe not best overall food, but best value. What crew/area was best? Those guys at The Beast, especially that one supervisor that loves "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora... What show in 2006 was the best in your opinion? School of Rock was exciting, and so was the Monster Bash. What change from 2005 to 2006 was the best? A refreshed kids area, Nickelodeon Universe.
