Can someone please tell me why everyone is so upset about Fast Lane, calling it greedy, unfair, and for "rich" people? I see it all time on Cedar Point's Facebook (not so much on Kings Island); but the comments go like, "It's unfair! Let rich people get in front of other people!" etc.; every other park chain has it. I don't get it. (This has been discussed much before but I just noticed it being complained about on Facebook).

I see this one. I'm seeing something about footers. I don't know.

You might wanna read over that post, unless you meant to say 'about' as in almost 15.

Who said there would be a roller coaster next year anyway?

If I were Kings Island, I wouldn't name it Mammoth because of Holiday World. Still, there's no reason why they couldn't. Let's start a rumor that Kings Island is building a new coaster called Mammoth...

I do, actually. On most rides. Thanks for letting me know about that; next time on The Racer I'll try.

We stay for 1 or 2 weekends at CP during the fall, we were excited about having a fastlane option this year. Im not so sure now,if you waited an hour on a friday i hope they double the fastlane price in october! Interesting to hear that about the experience last Friday. I was there on Sunday for the Disaster Transport event and purchased a Fast Lane. LOVED it. Park was very busy. Dragster had a 90 minute wait, MF was 90 minutes, Maverick was 2 hours and Raptor had a full queue. Fast Lane for Dragster took 15 minutes, 20 for MF, 10 minutes for Maverick and Raptor I walked right up into the station both times. If you want a lot of rides, I highly recommend it. I was able to ride Maverick 5 times in about an hour on Sunday morning :-) - Todd I just hit the rides at the wrong time; i.e. Millennium first, but by the time the hour wait was over, Maverick already got a long line; and I pretty much went to all the rides at the same time as everyone else it seems like. I'm not overexaggerating though.

Will there be an announcement about the new attraction?

I think Vortex is next for needing painted. Yeas. I agree. But racer needs some despreate work too. Vortex got a new paint just a couple years ago, and in my opinion, still looks great. Racer is top priority right now.

Since you are going for awhile, also during the week in August, I wouldn't use it, but when I did on my trip on a Friday, the lines were still an hour long with Fast Lane.

Maverick looks very exciting...not sure where you're getting that from. Before riding it I looked at the POV's and it looked intense, just by those. The quick, sharp turns, inversions, the launch, etc. - it's great. And actually riding it really showed how intense it was!

When they had Winterfest in 2005 were the rides open?

What? Dirty? Sorry, I won't start again.

I've never been to Six Flags, but looking at Great Adventure, Magic Mountain, and Great America, how can people hate it? Those three parks have great rides and SFMM has the most coasters in the world, and GA has Kingda Ka, the tallest coaster in the world.. Really hoping to make it to a Six Flags park someday - there just aren't so many a close drive away.

Magnum was a great ride, trust me, there's a lot of people that like it. I just didn't think Mantis was a good ride at all, not because it hurt, but I felt so forceless...the drop wasn't very good. Maverick had a very long wait but we had Fast Lane so it was only about 30 minutes and the wait was definitely worth it. Millie reminds me a lot of Diamondback, with a great first drop and somewhat relaxing rest of ride; still, the constant speed makes it my favorite coaster.

So, is it going to be considered a wooden coaster or not? I'm confused about that. -

I'm not a big fan of zoos; everytime I've been to Cincinnati Zoo, all the animals are asleep or not even out in their habitat. -
Flight of Fear - I've waited an hour and a half this year, I doubt another 30 minutes would be a big deal.

It was closed when I went yesterday.

Edit: I got rid of this post right after I posted it; I just felt like writing out my feelings. And I don't want to start an argument.

There are. It says something about loud noises and suggestive humor.

I used to go on KIE a lot, and people actually did post on it daily...wonder what happened.

(No offense to everyone else's trip reports) This is the first time I actually read a trip report this long! Great trip report!
