Drop Tower gives me a different type of anxiety than any other ride in the park. The anticipation of the drop at the top combined with my feet dangling cause alot of uneasiness. For some reason I always feel like my shoes are going to slip off during the climb. I also love taking friends on FoF for the first time. There reaction when they step into the station is priceless!
I'm not really disagreeing with you but merely adding a point to ponder. Doesn't the daily admission to the park, parking, and/or cost of a season pass discourage most vandalizing "riffraff" anyway?
I suppose the upcharge serves as a second barrier of riffaff protection.
Last Saturday I had a lady come up and ask me if you had to be 21 to buy shot glasses!! I had to process her question for a second before I realized she was serious!! I gave her a simple "No ma'am" while trying hard not to laugh.
Last Thursday one of the Ride Ops on The Beast told us all as we were leaving the station " Please enjoy your day at the now defunct Six Flags New Orleans!!"
