I don't even worry about the prices anymore to be honest! I hate to see a soda costing $4 in a machine, but what can you do about. As for dress codes I belive that the KI staff have bigger issues at hand to deal with than to worry about what people wear. If a woman lets her muffin top hang out, or exposes her belly button bling then that's their business. I would much rather have KI dealing with more important issues such as Security for an example. I also would not want a ride op slowing up the queue by removing someone because of what they are wearing. I'm at KI to have fun and not worry about your fashion or if your following every single park rule.

BASKETBALLS are the worst prize ever! There's nothing more annoying than some wanna be baller dribbling a ball through the park. This one douche was dribbling one in line for the Drop Tower and lost control of it numerous times. If I wouldn't get ejected from the park I would've snatched it and poked a hole in it

Racer, bring back the backward train and original paint.

I rode it this past Monday and it was the first time I'd been in there since the Phantom days. It's a put together quite well I'd say! At times I thought the gun was either bogus or a few target sensors were jacked up. It was fun though and kids seem to get a kick out of it.

KI must forsee a great future with Dinos Alive to expand on it hmmm. As for a new attraction well it's gonna be interesting to find out what it could be, maybe they'll get rid of that Thunder Alley that's a wasting space.

Final day of our 3 day getaway at KI and it started off with some rain which we didn't mind, it felt good and me and the family got to experience Diamondback in the rain AWSOME! The Diamondback is an amazing coaster to say the least! The line moves quicker than it seems I think we waited 15 mins if that to ride, but I could imagine what it was like on opening day. We made our way to FOF and walked right on, you can never go wrong in choosing to ride the FOF. My history is a bit hazy so correct if I'm wrong but the spaghetti bowl area used to be alot darker back in the day right? Also I don't recall the train slowing down as much as it does now top of midrun The Firehawk was closed for some reason and so after a quick snack we rode the Red Racer and then the Blue, the front car of the Red. Vortex still closed and the WindSeeker was down when we walked by so on to watch a show To Much TV and it was excellent! Everybody had a great time watching the show, we left the Festhaus and made our way to the DT where we maybe waitied 10 mins to ride. No one was into riding Invertigo or Congo so on to FD, it's such a walk down memory lane so to speak when walking to the station. I remember the fighter jet props, the queue line backed up clear to the entrance, the huge billboard decorated by bird poop lol. I hope FD never dies! She's a unique coaster, and while not a very long ride time FD is worth that long walk. Time for Boo Hill then an Ice Cream break, we checked out Signed Sealed and Delivered and yet again another top notch show! I have to say the shows at KI are simply the bees knees. We made it to The Beast and low and behold we got to the station and waited maybe 10 mins? Got on the first car second row and I think that is our favorite spot to sit now, that was the best, smoothest ride I think I've had yet on The Beast yet. By this time it's Backyard BBQ time and WOW we were amazed! The food was very good the buffet offered Pulled Pork, Fried Chicken, MacNcheese, Baked beans, chips, Pickles, Rolls, Brownies and all the soda you could ask for. Another thing I thought was nice ti that they passed out gift bags to all the kids. The contents included: patriotic hats, pinwheels, bubbles, glow stix, necklaces, peace sign sunglasses and a slime toy. We will be taking advantage of the BBQ again as it saved a ton of money. We then rode the Miami Valley RR and done some shopping and called it a day. We was so wore out we went back to the hotel let the kids swim and watched a movie and crashed for the night. We'll look forward to returning but we might research a nearby campground we was told that is a nice place and cheaper than a hotel.

If I were your family I would be hurt...they rate WAY below a free cup of water?! ROFL good point!
-
Oh I'm not saying I didn't have a good day, we still had lot's of fun!
-
Pros: Firehawk staff handing out cups of water Free samples at the fudge shop, and salt water taffy Snoopy rocks on ice Hot summer nights Fun with the family Blueberry Ice Cream Cons: Vortex closed 10 min downtime for The Beast (we was next in line to get on lol) At least a 30 min downtime for The Crypt (again in line to board) The Crypt, a waste of time! It might as be a cheap canival ride now. Dinos alive walk through & movie Fireworks Chic-Fil-A closed (International street) Dinos Alive & The Crypt are horrible: I swore I heard Godzilla in the woods and they Crypt....well just it's just sad! I give both attractions a D- The fireworks are weak compaired to the old Nights of Fire! The squeak in the tunnel on Adventure Express is annoying!

3 Accused of Selling Fake Cedar Point Tickets
ki4evr replied to Armentrout's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That is why I always buy directly thru the business itself or AAA and a few other reputable brokers and not ticket terrorists, they should've smelled a hustle! seriously who buys tickets off the street this day and age anyway. -
I wish I still had the old ariel photos I took when KI had the helicopter tours. Did anyone else give that attraction a try? I thought it fun for $25 although it was only like a 5min ride.

Thanks CoasterGeek 101 those are some great shots of DB! I loved the train photos also.

Thanks for the post wvunick thats some really great info for bigger riders I'm 6'3 260 with a 38 waist and I really don't have any issues although throwback coasters like The Beast give my grief do to the lapbar as my legs want freedom LOL and Flight of Fear I think the seatbelts are all not the same length as I've sat in almost every car and I swear the front feels diff than the middle.

What's been the average wait time?
-
I always say sure if I can take your picture, they walk away it works everytime!
-
Now you know why tigers eat their own huh.
-
It's a good little coaster and it's over with before you know it so I would say yes a nice beginner coaster.

Yeah I'm def not gonna wear any type of cargos! I'll just take you guys advice and wear recommended shorts and I got a pair of Nike sandals (non thong) that a thick and gel like.
-
Thanks and I thought about trying the backyard BBQ but I want to know if anyone else has and what the meal consist of and the quality.
-
Does anyone think board shorts would be comfy to wear through the rest of the park other than Boomerang Bay? Also Sandals or sneakers? Walking around after getting wet from the canyon or congo while wearing jeans or sneakers might not be good.

I'm going 7/3-7/4 I bet the 4th will be insane!

I agree the days are numbered, everyone has said their goodbyes and it's time for a change. There's so many ideas and thoughts as to what to do with the monstrosity, and I just thought of three quick ones Recycle all salvageable materials, build something else. Retrofit to accomodate another coaster Burn it down, nights of fire 2011
