My original post was in Kings Island! forums I started a topic to see what others thought of the ideal of new cars on Son of Beast.

Why did my topic get deleted? Can any one answer this? I've been looking at this forum for two years and just recently started to post, but if my topics are going to be deleted then I will not post here any more. I don't know what I did to upset any one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

June 30, 2006...Cedar Fair, after a period of due diligence, acquires Paramount Parks, including Kings Island, and becomes solely responsible for their operation and maintenance. July 9, 2006 (NOT June, as the article describes, and NOT on the sixth day of Cedar Fair's ownership, as stated in the post just before this one), the incident that precipitated the instant lawsuit occurred. Paramount Parks was not responsible for this matter, as Cedar Fair assumed all liabilities when it acquired ownership. Cedar Fair also made the decision the morning of July 9 to open and operate the ride. Paramount Parks was not involved in any way in that decision. Also, the ride reopened, sans loop and with lighter trains, July 4, 2007, only to close again in June 2009 for reasons never publicly explained. Though many enthusiasts and observers have speculated as to why the ride closed at that time, there has been no confirmation of why, but the park's general manager has said that he is not happy with the ride experience, and the ride will not reopen unless and until he is. What issue in 2009? The lawsuit discussed in this thread was precipitated by the July 2006 incident. What I meant by the real problem was that it was Paramounts's "Band- Aid" fix's that caused the 2006 incident. And Paramounts was very responsible for the 2006 Incident, they knew of issues on the ride and half ass fixed the issues then passing the issues along to Cedar Fair.

It seems like the are 100% sure that it is a dino walk, and the official announcement has not been made yet/. I bet they are right!

I believe that most of the 27 riders in 2006 we hurt in some way, but i do not think that the 2009 issue is real ! And obviously the state feels that the ride is safe.

The problem with trails are that they are only neat once! maybe twice. This is why the animal safari did not last!

Well let's all keep in mind that the real problem happened while paramount owned the park!, And since CF has owned the park have been no "true" issues. Not saying that this lady in 2009 is faking just that the state of Ohio cleared the ride.

How do we know that the video was The Beast? could of been the Son of Beast? No real proof that it was The Beast!

Savesonofbeast said that Kings Island put new wood on the drop, I think that new wood would stand. Unfortunately I think this was done to get a reaction, For the most part it worked!!!!

Actually Ty, The Bat was not removed until 1985. Bat was removed in 1984. No, it sat as SBNO during the entire 1984 season. It was dismantled during the 1985 season. I have pics of it being dismantled from the Eiffel Tower in 1985. I was there! I was there as well and also have pictures of it being dismantled in 1984. It was not finished being dismantled until 1985. If you have time could you post them?? I'd like to see that

So are you saying that FD is having the same metal fatigue issues that led to the removal of KC? I would like to think that CF/KI would at least fix or repair the metal fatigue problems rather that painting over the rust and saying thats its good to go. I was reading about how the park was trying to sell KC for $3 mill, Thats probably why it got a paint job! Maybe the plan on selling FD and making room for the " massive coaster for KI 40 th" LOL!!

I never noticed that! Unfortunately, there will never be another ride like Bat. Bank on it! I wonder if they used parts from The Bat to make FD?
