  1. If I was the security guard I would tell her nicely to stop as it makes the park look like clevela... oops I mean crap... -MagmMForce247
  2. It was a great place. I think attendance was poor because they wiped out the park after 2006, and Cedar Fair's true intention I think from day 1 was to bring all the guest to Cedar Point instead. From my standpoint I didn't think the closing of Geauga Lake really affected the attendance of Cedar Point. They lost a market, and probably lost a some business. I though Wild Water Kingdom was a great water park, and was probably 5 times busier than the amusement park. We were just shocked to see that there was such a huge difference in attendance between the 2. I think from an enthusiast stand point, Six Flags was great in making the park a nice thrilling park, and was nice to see them put in custom rides unlike many other parks that were being transformed into Six Flags' at the same time. BUT I think that also killed the park. They were trying to set competition to Cedar Point, which the park just couldn't stand up to it. Cedar Fair probably wouldn't of closed it if it was like before it became Six Flags. It wouldn't of been any competition to Cedar Point, so they wouldn't of closed it. Some might think I'm crazy still discussing about Geauga Lake after 4 years, but even after just going to Geauga Lake for 2 days it instantly became special, especially after seeing my dad smile after riding the Villain, after missing The Boss at our home park SFSL, when we lived in Illinois. -MagmMForce247
  3. I was just think about all the amusement parks I've been to especially when my half brother & sister would travel with us, and remember how much we loved Geauga Lake. I remember we had a really bad feeling about the fate of the park, as we traveled in august or July, and the park was DEAD. Everything was 1 train operation, and we would normally be the only ones on the ride, except on Thunder hawk, and Dominator. They had no machines to scan our passes at parking, so we had to get a refund at guest services, which took forever. We stayed for 2 days, and had a blast, and became one of our favorite parks, being that our family LOVES CCI wooden coasters, and we all really liked Dominator. The thing that I really wanted to post/ask about though was when we went to go find food for lunch, we wound up into the old water park. We saw that there was what we thought was a restaurant (The circular building on the main pathway). The doors turned out to be locked. We were all kinda confused, and figured that they just didn't have enough staff, but then on our way back to the main park, we were just looking around and saw the lazy river, and just had a feeling we weren't supposed to be there. We then just fastly walked back and found that 50's style hamburger joint and ate. The question is, was the old water park normally blocked off, or were they careless and just had it unattended and wait for someone to drown in the rain water filled lazy river, and not find for a long time? After the visit I did my research and found out that it was in fact not in use anymore. I just happened to be thinking about memories, and remembered that, and just wanted to know if that was or wasn't blocked off. Those are just a few memories out of the MANY I have of my only time going to Geauga Lake, and I hope you guys know of my question, or have any other memories! -MagmMForce247
  4. I'm going to sound REALLY stupid here and say that MAYBE B&M have developed the ability to design a giga coaster?? I really doubt they did but it's just weird that there were sighting's of the word giga on supplies, but the model tag represents B&M. Then you get to the point that B&M's tallest coaster is 232 feet high. Now with all that information I really have no idea. I mean there is a POSSIBILITY that B&M has developed a giga coaster, but I really don't see that happening. -MagmMForce247
  5. I do wonder if it was the re-tracking but they don't show any renovations on any rides at KI on their website, like they do with all their others.... But who knows, maybe they just supplied a part for a coaster, but like kingsrattler said," just take it for the grain of salt it is worth".
  6. Yeah i knew that and I bet it doesn't help that SFOG's seems more compact and has more turns than SFSL's.
  7. I never have riden SFOG's but my head always hurt a little after the SFSL version , but my dad would have to bring Advil to take after the ride!
  8. Ha! I just hate when people try to get out of their seats. At Cedar Point earlier this year 2 people in our raft on WWC kept on standing, and one was literally hanging her upper body out trying to touch water, luckily my mom grabbed her... TWICE, and they both got yelled at by a operator in a overseeing booth....
  9. 1. Son of Beast - 2nd favorite coaster behind The Boss 2. The Villain - 4th favorite (GL) 3. Ozark Wildcat - Need a GCI! (CC) 4. The Whizzer (CGA) 5. Screamin' Demon - My dad has talked about that he loved it! (KI) 6. Big Bad Wolf - Looked like a pretty good suspended coaster! (BGE) 7. Twisted Twins - Need a Dueler, plus love CCI's (KK) 8. Batman and Robin : The Chiller - Even though i've never been to SFGAdv, i remember going online when i was little and I saw a picture on the SF website and saying " I want to ride that! ". I was very sad to see it go 9. Mega Zeph - Again love CCI's (SFNO) 10. Time Machine - I love B&M's but especially their sit-down's and floor-less's (FMP) If I could get those rides that would a dream, especially the Villain and SOB as I've ridden them, and they have a ton of memories.
  10. Posted on wrong topic...... Feel free to delete!
  11. I would be telling the operator and park officials if i rode with someone that had a knife.... Also I feel VERY uncomfortable around drunk people so I would probably be as scared... Are they supposed to deny someone for riding a ride if they are intoxicated? But about the topic..... I really like the idea, especially where my home park used to be SFSL before i moved to Ohio, in which they never stopped lines before entering the station. I'm glad they are stopping the line at Flight of Fear especially after I asked for them to consider it for that specific ride. I always hated being in that tiny station with another 100 people... -MagmMForce247
  12. I think it's sad to see B&M's first coaster to be moved, but under Six Flags who knows if it will be moved..... I've always wanted to ride this since i visited Six Flags Great America as a kid in 2004, and seeing my older brother and sister along with my dad ride it while I rode Spacely's Sprocket Rockets. I remember just looking at for a while, and it looked to me to be one of the coolest coasters. I said when I was tall enough I would want to go back and ride it, but I can't since we moved to coaster land, ohio. It's just sad to see it go... -MagmMForce247
  13. Are you sure..... All that I saw on rcdb look like that..... -MagmMForce247
  14. Match 1 The Beast (5) vs. Top Thrill Dragster (2) Match 2 Magnum XL-200 (1) vs. Millennium Force (7)
  15. Yeah that makes me curious too. And for the closeness factor for a spinning coaster, the drive between them is at least over 5 hours, since when I lived in Bloomington, IL it was over 3 and 1/2 hour's worth of driving. They serve 2 completely different markets, and 2 WindSeeker's are located about 4 hours apart, so I don't see any problem. I've never been to Holiday World, but maybe this new addition will be able to coax my parents to take me.... -MagmMForce247
  16. That is a HUGE clue to the mystery. I remember seeing when Kings Dominion received it's washers that said Intamin Giga on it. The only thing is that if it is an intamin they could just use the same caps and grade beams for all of their coasters, and had extra from a past project. I really don't know about that aspect, as that's way out of my knowledge. I really wonder whatever it is will go to Kings Island in 2013 too. That would be interesting to be a giga for both parks, since they built 2 hyper coasters, but Cedar Point did add Top Thrill Dragster just 3 years later, than Millennium Force. I think this will really round out the parks if it's a giga, as they've been missing a true flagship coaster. Diamondback is a amazing coaster, and I love the addition of it, but the parks really need something tall, and unique. -MagmMForce247
  17. Wow great trip report! I would of loved to go, but was really busy. I'd love to experience that next year. Looks like they had a lot of staff their, which is great, and is probably needed to dispatch fast. I'm glad you had a great time! p.s. I think when i went to park around a month ago Savannah was told to shut up by a rude guest. I felt so sorry for her as she's was really nice! Thanks again for the trip report! -MagmMForce247

  19. Thanks terp! That was really interesting and I'm glad you found that. If I would invest I would probably invest with Disney, but if I would choose with a seasonal operator it would probably be Cedar Fair. I feel that they use their money better, and it would scare me to invest after bankruptcy with Six Flags. Though would invest when the company's growing would probably be a good idea, but I can't invest yet so others probably know A LOT more than me. -MagmMForce247
  20. All the times I've stayed on resort I've stayed a Hotel Breakers in the Bon-Air section. If you are only going to use it for sleeping then it's great. If you will be in the room a lot I would go to another area in the hotel. My family just are in the room for the night and then we head to the park. The one down-side is that there is no elevator access, but I think that's with most of the hotel. Hope that helps! -MagmMForce247
  21. I stumbled on this topic today and was looking through Intamin accidents and saw that they have obviously had problems with the coaster restraints before. People that have legs have fallen out of the ride before. Now the thing is I saw in a picture of the trains and they had small vertical bars attached to the sides of the trains that run to the floor to keep the riders legs in. I really find no use to that part in any instance, but i believe the problem is the middle bar. If you've ever compared any Intamin Hyper(except Expedition GeForce)/ 1st gen Giga and Top Thrill Dragsters lap bars, you've noticed that Top Thrill Dragsters angle at the top right before the yellow lap bar, where the other doesn't Top Thrill Dragsters Lap Bar - Link : http://rcdb.com/1896.htm?p=6703 Hyper/ Giga Lap Bar - Link : http://rcdb.com/541.htm?p=12441 When I ride Millennium Force I can still push the lap bar all the way to where the bar is touching the seat, which I believe could be a problem with the restraints. Top Thrill Dragsters restraints have the abilty to go down farther as the bend makes sure the lap bar is parallel to your lap, not your stomach. I really don't think a 13 year old guy should be able to make the lap bar touch the seat. Now dealing with the guys situation, if the restraints have problems with touching peoples laps already someone without one is unacceptable. I really hope Cedar Point really makes sure they enforce rules against riding without legs or w/ limbs. i believe the guy wasn't wearing limbs but i believe if he was it still would've ended like this. The limbs would not be able to withstand the force of a human during the pressure of lifting up during air- time hills. I have my prayers with his family, and hope the problem with these restraints will be reformed, and no longer have the ability to happen. -MagmMForce247
  22. ^ I have to agree with you on that Backlot Stunt Coaster isn't a bad ride as i really enjoy the effects and dodging the police cars, plus it was my first launch coaster. Also i've had a coaster obsession with that ride before... My List : 1. Son of Beast (if only it was open..) 2. Flight of Fear 3. Diamondback 4. Beast 5. Backlot Stunt Coaster
  23. You really can't complain about Diamondback, it's not even close to rough. Have you guys ever ridden an Arrow?? or Mean Streak last season?(I think it's smooth this season!) Now those examples are rough, in all respect to people's opinion's Diamondback doesn't have one part that jarr's you into the side hurtfully or makes you bang your head against the headrest. You're just not going to ever see Diamondback "lose it's touch". It was designed by people that are known for smoothness and have great wheel assemblies. Look at their older coasters, that are the age of some arrows and you can't tell me that their rougher in any close perspective. The rattling on Diamondback might be annoying but it isn't close to hurtful in any way. Just my opinion -MagmMForce247
