Your First Upside Down Coaster?
jasonondropzone replied to Sonofbeast2.0's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
T2 at the former Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom(which reopens Saturday!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I can remember that there was a huge awning that you could park under to load/unload. It was ran by a Midde Eastern couple. Like I said, I'm trying to get in touch with my aunt to find out for sure. I know that the SnS was about a 5-10 minute drive away. It was sort of at a dead in but there were multiple hotels in the area, as you said. GOT IT! It's the Econo Lodge at 5232 Bardes Road. The reviews on tripadvisor are giving it terrible reviews, but honestly I thought it was nice.

This may be the aforementioned hotel. ^^^^ Possibly! I'm trying to get in touch with my aunt and ask her what it's called but she's very slow at responding!
-
I can't remember the name...but it's a nice hotel for a good price. It's about 10 minutes from the park, and as I'm not familiar with the area I don't know if we went North, South, East, or West but I remember passing a car dealership(or at least signs to one) but it's near Steak N Shake, other hotels, and other restaurants. Sorry this is very bad information, just trying to be a little bit of help! Good luck and have fun at the park!

Why is everyone dissing on Fast Lane? It's convenient for people like me, who can only visit the park once or twice each season and have to drive 4 hours to the park. Yes, there is a better way to operate it but until KI trains each employee to do a 50/50 entry to the station, (and even then) no one will be happy. To the original post, I find it wrong to try and sell your wristband, it's taking money from the park that could be used for improvements toward the park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Kings Island's Twitter, just tweeted about a minute ago, "New this year in Action Zone is the Chicken Shack. Fresh hand-breaded chicken tenders, wings, wraps and salads are on the menu." What do you guys think of a new eatery in the park? I for one love to fill my mouth with food, I'm always hungry, and ready to eat!

I was there, we all bought fast passes which have gone up since June, and they weren't a necessity yesterday but was nice seeing how we were late to when we wanted to be in the park! We only got to ride Invertigo twice, Drop Tower, Flight of Fear, Vortex, & Diamondback, & then while we were eating at the reds hall of fame grille it started thundering and lightning, so we knew rides were closing. We held out under the Diamondback store from around 4:45 to 6:30 before running to the arcade over by beast and then finally giving up and driving back home. Sorry to hijack your thread! Alright, I figured Ohio kids would still be in school because their summer was extended due to making up snow days at the end of the year, I started back August 9. I guess I'll find out when I get there that Saturday! Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk 2

Okay, I know it may seem like a n00b question but what are crowds like on this weekend? I know they'll be bad but just how bad? I've never been this late in the season and there's an extremely high chance of me going! Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk 2

I really want to stay up and find out with everyone else but high school calls my name starting tomorrow>_> Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk 2 -
So, on one of coasterbob's YouTube videos of the state fair, someone asked if he was attending the announcement of the new coaster on August 8th. Is there any validation to this? I'd say not or everyone in this thread would be screeching. Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk 2

FIRE: CAMDEN PARK
jasonondropzone replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I stopped going to Camden Park before the arm fell off the Spider, my parents found it to be unsafe and the Spider incident proved it to be such. Although, I know accidnts happen and the fire was totally accidental, I just don't have the heart to return to Camden, the Spider and the Dodge'em cars we're my favorites! -
Wow. I'm grounded for a while and this is what I come back to. Honestly, HTCO doesn't owe anyone anything and you guys are actually being very rude about the whole situation. If HTCO told you to put a noose around your neck while it was tied to a rafter, would you do it? Same figure as saying "If I told you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?" It takes common sense to go places, obviously the person who committed the crime, had none.

I have never had a vomit smell after getting wet on the ride, walking by the pond, or going through. If we wanna speak dirty water, don't even get me started on the Log Flume at Camden Park, that water reaaaaaakkkkkks!

I ride the way I'm instructed to. Kidding, I found some neat ways to ride Diamondback. 1. Back seat, left, hands & legs up 2. Throw the camera the Devil horns 3. Hands up and lean as far as possible to the left while going through the helix and through the splashdown. 4. You are soaked. Mission accomplished.

How accurate are the wait time signs?
jasonondropzone replied to CharleyTheDinosaur's topic in Kings Island
I was wearing cargo shorts, but didn't expect The Racer to make me lose my phone. I carry around a bag also, but I would never keep my phone, or my wallet in there, especially not in the holding bins. -

jasonondropzone replied to CharleyTheDinosaur's topic in Kings Island
I would think twice about taking a device in the park, unless totally needed. I've always taken my phone in the park because I need to communicate with my aunt, but this past visit I was having my first ride of the day on Racer, it was in the regular pants pocket, and bounced out. Luckily, I was quick enough to run up the Fast Lane entrance, explain the situation, and end up catching someone talking to my cousin on it coming out of the exit. -
Sure. Can you show me the Atkantic Ocean and the mulberries on Main? Terp, who tires of those who say "West Virginia? Sure, I've been to Richmond many times...and don't even think of explaining Charles Town! We once had a new kid from Nevada and his initial reaction with Charleston was "Oh, so Charleston and Charles Town are the same?" I was totally baffled, I just left him to allow him to thank it out on his own.
-
I'm not totally for sure, but I don't like how as you're going through the covered section after the first hill, it slows down a lot. I don't remember it doing that in 2011, not sure about 2012 as I didn't get a ride in on The Beast.

Flight Of Fear Best Seat for most intense launch

Dang! Someone beat me to it! The back is where it's at! -
Does there really need to be a sense in everything? I'm not saying that you've said this about things before, I'm just asking. I mean, the guy made it and he's probably extremely proud of his work. I like it, and many others did too!
-
That was neat! You could watch the Eiffel Tower's shadow move across The Racer, and you could watch Diamondback sway! Oh, this definitely wasn't filmed today, too good of weather in it!
-
Whoopsies. Told you, I have no clue about Cincy and the greater Cincy area. Now, ask me to show you around Charleston and the greater area and we're good to go!
