That's the same thing that I put under Concerns about Titanic Encounter. It's disrespectful to make an amusement park ride out of an event where many people died. Why not just call it Titanic Tomb Raider.
-
Tomb Raider: Firefall = Same as TRTR, but with a different explanation/story of the ride. Same queue, same effects. Tomb Raider: Chamber of Fire = Sounds like IOA's Temple of Neptune walkthrough. Titanic Simulator = Boring version of Back to the Future. Titanic Encounter = Seems pretty interesting if all the theming is kept up. No idea about what kind of ride it could be. In the end, sounds like a new take on what Universal did with Earthquake. MTV Soundwave = RocknRollercoaster, need I say more? Mission Impossible = Just another stunt show. TV Land Lounge = Newly themed Hard Rock Cafe, no one under the age of 30 will really care about this place. SpongeBob Squarepants Boating Track = Sounds like a wild mouse roller coaster version of Smurf's Enchanted Voyage. Nickelodeon Car Wash = interactive water ride, Go for it, despite the theming. Snow Day = Slow and Dull sounding ride with a twist: somewhat real snow.

The ride's longer than it was the past years because the block brakes are catching the train now. I timed it three times in a row and I ended up with pretty much same result every time, just slightly over one minute. BTW, I had different loads of people on each train too.

Yes, two different stations. As for what the track looks like, imagine a bowl of spaghetti, and you pretty much have an idea of what the track looks like. It starts with a cobra roll after the launch, then right into a boomerang. Afterwards, it just starts circling the building, twisting in and out of the rest of the track, some small hills, two rapid changes in direction, with a nice corkscrew to finish it off. Ride lasts exactly 1:00.44 min.

Depends on the coaster. If it's a woodie, I sit near the front and in the middle of the car to avoid the wheels. If it's steel, I sit in the back to go down the drops faster and hopefully get more airtime.

I'm talking about the hallway you walk out of when you get off Flight of Fear at the unload station

Yet even more music! The theme from "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad"

Don't expect anything like that here. PKI has to pay the studio whose movie they're borrowing annually. I was told by several people that PKI had to pay MGM $10,000 each year, just to have the name Outer Limits on that coaster. Back in 2000 or 2001, it was obviously decided that it wasn't worth it, so the ride's name was changed to it's subtitle, Flight of Fear. Also, the preshow movie was also slightly changed to get rid of all traces of the name Outer Limits. I'm surprised that MGM didn't charge them extra just for playing James Bond "Licence to Kill" music in the exit hallway, and that PKI didn't have to pay Columbia for the use of "Bram Stoker's Dracula" Music in said hallway too.

I don't know anything about proposed real fire on TRTR, but I can think of one good reason why they don't have it. The only place to put it would be in the lavapit. Since you hang upside down over it, the heat would be too unbearable. Plus, one malfunction/over charged fire blast= goodbye hair.

Good thinking, they do play the music from "Independence Day." If you want to hear more music from this movie, ride "The Beast."
-
Also the Stampede theme from "Jumanji"
-
Themes from "The Last Starfighter," "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn," and "Jaws." Fireworks music includes themes of "Star Trek Nemesis," "Titanic," and "Indiana Jones." They used to have (last year) the themes of "Star Trek The Next Generation," (which is just an edited form of the theme of Star Trek: The Motion Picture) and "Sleepy Hollow."

Bomber, what did you do about the tunnel? That's the only part of the ride whose layout I can't figure out. The animation doesn't give any clues as to where it goes. The station and the Helicopter scene are parallel to each other, so where does the tunnel go. Does it go around the the whole ride, make a u-turn and go between the chopper and the station and come out on the other side of the station through the billboard, or does it go underground? Wherever it goes, it goes into the tunnel facing one way, and comes out of the tunnel on the other side of the station facing the same way that it entered the tunnel from.

You can usually tell what effects will break first. Any effects on the train i.e. speakers, car doors, etc. should be fine as maintenance will always have access to the trains, plus car sound effects are a major part of the ride. I'm betting the lights on the police cruisers will burn out first, and since it takes "an effort" to walk out in the grass (note the sarcasm), they will most likely go for long periods of time with out being replaced. (I work on TRTR so I know how long it takes to change a light bulb here.) The only real effects after this are the helicopter and the water splash. Being the main part of the ride, it's hard to imagine PKI letting the chopper fall apart, but looking at previous themed rides, they will. The propellers, rotors, whatever they're called, will go first. They will get slower and slower until they eventually stop. (anyone remember phantom theatre, and the ever slower moving sheets of music over the maestro's head?) Next, of course will be the Sim Bullets. Fewer of these will be working each time you ride. They'll be fixed every now and then, but they won't last forever. Finally, the explosions. If they are using real fire, you can bet they will be gone after July. They look like they will be placed too close to the train. People will complain about it being too hot, especially on the smaller riders (48 in. height requirement). Then, maintenance will discover the heat is damaging the trains, the tracks, whatever, and their intensity will be turned down. (Supposedly the water from the lavapit on TRTR was hurting the sensors on the gondola, so pressure was turned down, now nobody gets wet) Of course, let's not forget the obvious: the explosions just break themselves---that goes for whether or not real fire is used. However, if the explosions do JUST BREAK, you can count on maintenace, or whoever's job it is, to fix them pretty quickly, or at least try to fix them for a while. Last but not least, the water splash. If the splash is generated by the train, which I doubt it will be, then it can't break, plain an simple. But, if it is done by water jets on the side of the track, then, like the police cruiser lights, when it breaks, nobody will be in a big hurry to fix it. If it's not meant to get you wet, then it is mainly just for show for the people watching in the queue and exit. If it's just for show, no big deal for PKI if they lose it. To sum up everything, I hope the effects last forever, but knowing the situation of other rides in the park *cough TRTR, AE cough*, they probably won't . (gets tear in eye) Edit: A thought has occured to me. Due to the short distance from the train, it is unlikely that real fire will be used in the explosions. Instead, I see them doing something similar to the lavapit on TRTR. Using boilers, they will blast steam from designated areas to simulate explosions. These hardly ever break, and they create almost the same effect as fire. Something I can't figure out, though, is that in the animation, real fire, separate from the explosions, can be seen surrounding the train. Only real fire could be used to create this effect, steam just wouldn't look right. Hopefully, if they follow the animation, they will use a fire effect similar to the one on Jaws in Universal Studios.

What makes a Giant Topspin giant is that it has three rows of seats instead of the traditional two, 77 seats instead of 50 seats. The ride consists of constant flipping, as you can see in RCT, and some special effects. The ride is very smooth with only a couple minor bumps. Just put your restraint as tight as you can get it, otherwise the finale can get a little painful in the nether regions. The restraints are the exact same design as the ones on Delirium. The ride is pretty short, so if you're a first time rider, don't expect a long ride because you will be disappointed. The effects are pretty good, PKI just has a little problem making sure they are always working right. In conclusion, TRTR=good ride, but it needs to be longer. If they do ever change it, it better have as good of a soundtrack as it has now. The soundtrack is awesome.

I work on TRTR now, used to work on FOF. Working the ride itself is really easy. If you're driving, aside from making sure everything and everyone is working right, all you do is push buttons. The hard part is keeping the guests happy and in line, I'm not talking about the queue. If working FOF, though, the absolute hardest part of the job is memorizing the fire escape plan. Every single associate has a job to do, and the driver has to make sure that they do it. The driver has to stay in the booth until every guest is out of the building. There's a running joke among employees that if you're the driver during a fire, you are "going down with the ship." All in all, this is a fun place to work, expecially Tomb Raider.

Go to PKI.com for a computer animation preview video of IJST. No inversions, two launches, will most likely last between 55 and 75 seconds (depends on how long the helicopter part lasts and how long the tunnel is), simple design--all about the effects.
-
After work, I ride TRTR until I annoy everyone on my crew. Then I head to Beast for one or two rides. Next, I go for the small flats like scooters, monster, and zephyr. Next, go to FOF, see how long line is--if too long, I just chat with my old crew for 30-45 min. Then, ride Vortex, AT, and head over to Action Zone for a ride on Delirium and SOB. To end it all, a ride on Dark Ride before I leave through the First Aid garage. This seems like a random pattern, but I do follow it every time I go.

Antique cars (Tiques) are gone now. They will be replaced with Italian Job Stunt Track next year.
-
Plus, something I've always found funny, the guy on Skyflyer looks like he just got run over on Days of Thunder and is lying out on the track.
-
Speaking of giant robot theming, anyone remember the old Vortex logo--a huge robot hand gripping the track and twisting it. They were way off when it came to the type of coaster in the logo. It looks like a B&M stand-up coaster. How could you make such a glaring mistake like that in a ride's emblem.

My grammar sense is tingling. What's with this family and bad spelling and continuous run ons. I too was "entertained" by the activity of this forum topic, but reading their replies just gives me a headache.

Does TunedInIsTheBest count? I think it's safe to say that she's driving everyone insane.
-
What's with the name change (missymay), was she banned for not talking about anything relevant, misspelling EVERYTHING, stalking someone supposedly, including "haha" at the end of every sentence, making what seemed like smarta** or sarcastic replies to other people, etc. And who's this JumpinJack? This guy was just begging for a response from TunedInIsTh.....I mean missymay04.

If there will be a Fearfest attraction of one of those, it would have to be one they have the rights to. Paramount owns Sleepy Hollow, so that's a possibility. They could also do Alien invasion as they don't need any rights, though they do own at least one alien invasion movie: Independence Day. Let's see them make a haunted house out of that lol. Last year, and I'm definitely not the first to think of this, they should have put aliens in the cornfield on Route 666 ala Signs.
