Another SOB....(Pun intended) I would say a OktoberFest expansion and place a german themed rollercoaster something along the woodie plug and play. A wooden or steel coaster will suit me. Although a new version of SOB wouldnt be a bad idea (SOB II, Revenge from the grave?).
-
On some other notes: The SOB did rock the casbah, now its just the viva la vida, same as it ever was. I will be waiting for the SOB parts auction, but meanwhile I will be sitting back eating my popcorn watching the fanboys rage about this for a few weeks.
-
I think it's safe to say that we ALL can trust this source. Can we have a party at the park on the day the ride starts to come down? Yes, infact I already am......
-
While commenting on the SOB dismantlement I saw this "Last chance to ride it tommorrow to ride it! I will be there!".
-
Yes! Thanks for this info Don! This is a great day for Kings Island and for KIC (Although it will be missed it will be a great area for a great addition)! (Now just what are we going to do with the SOB topics?)
-
What is Viking Fury? Yes, well when you can go to Carowinds more often you get over the BB complex. Now on the SC topic, I think it just needs a bit of extra ideas, its still being worked on today (last time I went was last week) with the new stuff, so it could get a bit more theming.
-
So what area do you believe will get rehabs/revamps this year? What kind of new theming would you like to see in some of the areas? For me it would probably be OktoberFest, and Soak City. OktoberFest- New german theming, maybe a bit of polka players inside the Festhaus, a new fountain, some more austrian pines (keeping with the German feel), and also a new archway for Oktoberfest (with rod iron grapevines etc). Soak City-Now im not sure if they wanted a Miami theme and or a islander theme, but here are some ideas. Near the Thunder Falls some tikis sticking out of the ground, some tiki torches along the walkways, some "surfboards" sticking out of the wavepool enterance (Tidal Wave Bay), bring back some of the old fishing nets, plant palm/banana trees in the ground (maybe cold hardy?) around the enterance, finally for the grassy area near the conjoining walkways to Zoom Flume/Splash River a sandy walkway with tropical plants (such as the Australian Canna, and Colocasia Elephant Ears).

The Beach Waterpark Redesign Thread
BB1 replied to Coney Islander's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Well, if I see more water on the slides I will consider going to it. I hope the beach will get a great remodel. -
Yes, its nothing to compare to DollyWood's waterpark (thinking you already have been there). Just a H20 bowl, a "annoying" river, a few colored slides, and a few wavepools, one wavepool makes you get hit by people in tubes.
-
You should visit Kings Automall, I heard it shows you what you want. Also the old K'rogers is a toyota, its actually larger than what you would think. So hold on, now there is the elevator guy? He must be going "up" in the rankings to work the ET and get information like that! Thanks for posting!
-
Well, I would say Carowinds, due to the Intimadator, and some of the newer rides. No comment on the others.
-
You know I would say this, but its a tie, Intimadator, a PP era water park, Diamonback, Beast, its just too hard.

Coming in 2013: The Beach at Adventure Landing
BB1 replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Well that blows the new BB at the Beach waterpark idea out of the water .(Pun intended) On another note this is a great thing to hear! I may go back to the Beach if its any better than it was last year! -
If they were to test out Winterfest one last time (which I hope they could, with many other area attractions closing it would be a prime time for it to return.) with some of the old props (which I believe they sold a few Christmas tree toppers in the last years) and some new light displays, I would surely go to it!
-
Thanks for the TR! I wonder how is their old WaterWorks?
-
Yes at times I believe they do. Also they like hearing great reviews about certain new ideas at KI.
-
One day, it may become obsolete which it could be torn down. The area is so hilly, I do not believe that it would be taken out in the near future.
-
Is this the threads for all threads of this concept of this discussion? If so, it will get shut down soon, very soon.

Please look before posting, BB1 http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/25578-pastnow-favorite-restaurant-at-ki/page__fromsearch__1

I like the poetic theme of your question.
-
I would think some Frank Sinatra would be great for The Racer..... Now I would have to side with anonymous on Toto, also if they could at least play a bit of 80's more often I would be happier with the park.
-
New fountains at the Splash River.
-
Yes, if they could buy out some more land (Western Oaks?) and place it on another close property, that would be great.
