A reaction too great not to post (A year late but its still great). I wish that there would be a "Hitler rants about Boomerang Bay being taken out"

Well the Dolphins, Buccaneers, and the good ole Longhorns of course, I always wondered why they are called the bengals?

Its because it was a new idea for the waterpark industry. Look at all the waterparks around the world, all of them have themes like wild west, tropical, medieval, etc, Boomerang Bay was the first of the Australian themes in the US. It had a great motion picture to go along with it, which I believe that BB was better than the CF era. I personally like australian themed things, I like many places that are themed like australia, like Outback (Great food+great decor), and BB (just great). It had that certain ring that I like, it wasnt too over whelming, and it was not too under decorated. When it first opened, I knew I would love it, which I did it was a great theme with great ideas/colors added into it, upon which you could tell what theme it is (Unlike SC where it looks like Miami, but also like the carribean islands). Its like that love for coasters you have CoasterGeek, its just a passion that some gain with certain things. EDIT: Also I really dont like the whole "beach bum" feel/talk that I hear at SC.

Well the collection has 1 Boomerang Bay towel 2 Boomerang Bay shirts (long board and a BB green shirt, worn sometimes to KI) 3 2004-2011 maps (Too many to say) My usual outfit -No usual garb.

Is she by any chance the dippin dots lady? (BB1 who takes everything with a grain of salt)

Well, this is new. I can second this, due to the Beach and KK shut downs over the past few years, and the new reno-to the Soak City area made more people come to SC than before (although I did hear some people saying the BB was better yesterday...) Also I would like a water coaster (what I've expected since '10 on the old hills with the telephone lines, and or where the new wave pool is) near the "Pineapple Plunge".

A FUN ride... I thought the SOB madness was gone, this is S, erm KICentral.

I believe he was scoping for a water sprinkler system, some systems use fertilizer that you do not want on you, upon which also in that field are chigger bugs (as I call them) that hop on you if you get into the grass.

Thanks for all of the ideas! I want the event, but I believe it would not succeed. The reasons are the same as most people for the pro WF, memories, new traditions, great new ideas. Its sad to say this but, the reasons against over rule the reasons for WF, ride operations, staffing, profit, past experiences, etc. If there were to be a WinterFest 2012, I would most certainly go to it being that the HH is a success and the light show already in place being great works I could expect a great WinterFest if it came.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls we have the new reincarnation of RailRoader19. I would despise it, the whole chain is just terrible in my opinion, also although CF may not be on my happy go go list at times, enough experiences at SIX parks in SIX years made me say no to the parks.

Yes. What I was meaning was that its great to see people say BB names again, I'm sure I will hear more on my Carowinds trip! I also liked Boomerang Bay and saw no need for an expansion to the waterpark but Everything at Kings Island changes one day. You sir made my day!

The ride chamber's footprint itself is quite large, yet it sits 10-15 feet below grade when looked at from the preshow room, so it's understandable a staircase or ramp would be erected to get to ground level. That said, a multiple-leveled haunt would be quite a challenge and a staffing nightmare trying to keep what would be a monstrous-sized crew in check throughout the run. Well that is what they are! Anyways this idea sounds great (Just please have clearance 7+!) for a tri level haunt, which if I remember correctly this will be the first of its kind at KI.

Dont even get started on that (BB1 who knows a guy).

I like your BB lingo! On another note I was expecting a new hydro coaster (something like platypus run) in the area of the new wavepool.

The Bat was the perfect example of a great but easy ride. It was family friendly, it had a great view, it swayed alot, and it was a great theme that was fluent throughout the ride, it would be a great addition for KI to have again, but that is only for my dreams.
