Really? It was your first coaster and you were scared? You should give the coaster world another chance, it's much fun after you break your initial fear. King Cobra that was at Kings Island? That was a great stand up, unlike Mantis.

For some reason I thought dollar days started today, staying in my A.C now, was going to head to K.I.

Are the crowds pretty light so far today?

People OUTSIDE KI Say The Darnedest Things
Jr for Birdy replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island
That's what she gets for making fun of me when I told her I went to CP Sunday by myself while the family was swimming at the hotel. She looked at me like I was a big loser. Snobby little teenager quote, " Why would you ride the coasters by yourself, didn't you feel weird?" My reply, " Don't you have some friends to text or something?" Sigh... Some people just don't get it.- 307 replies

People OUTSIDE KI Say The Darnedest Things
Jr for Birdy replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island
I stopped at an old friends house after picking up my daughter from school and his teenage daughter was telling me how she is going to CP with her friend this weekend and how nervous they are about riding the huge coasters. I told her that she should start out on Maverick because its not very tall. She took the bait! After she leaves the room my buddy says, " One crazy ride I'm guessing"? I reply, "Yep"!- 307 replies

You can't name your price, but I called three days in a row and the supervisor could lower it to a certain rate each day, so I just gambled and called the same morning we left and it was even cheaper than the day before. I payed 204.00 including tax for a tower room with 2 adult and 1 child ERT, and I bought a 25 dollar starlight pass for myself for the night before, my wife and daughter wanted to sit at the pool.

In my eyes, No. It's a much better flat than it's a coaster, so call it a flat or don't, I could care very little.

Most definitely a donkey theme in the Outback.

I hadn't rode Mean Streak since 1996 until Monday. I'm much older and not a twig anymore so I figured I would give it a shot since there was absolutely no line and maybe 6 people on a train. It was actually not to bad, I didn't ride it again but it was tolerable. I would hate to see it torn down but something should be done to bring more riders because it's an awesome structure in my opinion.

Yeah but if I decide to go Platinum, I wouldn't stay the night but occasionally, but would visit CP much more often. I did save over 100 dollars the other day by booking the same day through a supervisor than if I booked online. Edit: This worked out well for me and them, because I stayed at Breakers instead of another hotel and the money I saved I spent in the park instead of packing food in the hotel.

The benefits of staying at a resort at only 10% is what I was looking for, I might go platinum next season. I wonder if I would still be able to get a cheaper rate than 10% by calling the same morning and they have empty rooms? They have hooked me up good with single day passes with ERT, a room, and free parking several times, but they might have set standards with a platinum pass holder?
-
That's what I figured, I know how to get a much better deal without a platinum pass at Breakers. Call the same day your going in the morning and ask for a supervisor, I have actually called from the parking lot! If they can't hook you up I would just stay at another hotel. Maybe I'm just lucky but this has never failed me and I have saved hundreds of dollars total by not booking online. People cancel or they have rooms empty, better to make some money than no money.

What are the benefits you get?

I might have seen you Sunday? O wait, unfortunately I was busy marathoning Maverick. Seriously, glad you had fun and like the Hangover 4 pic!

Every ride I see my kids on. I walk around the rides and get several angles, hundreds of pictures! I figure I can look at the good old days when I'm 90, when I'm not playing checkers! Haha

Favorite coaster EVER
Jr for Birdy replied to BeastForever's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Having just got home from CP, I must say Maverick in the front row during the day, back row at night. The bugs I took to the face were far greater in the front at night than in the back! Millie is a very close second, and my Magnum love is fading a bit, probably from my ride count over the years . I can't decide on a wood coaster honestly, I do love the front row of The Beast at night! -
After spending the last two days at the Point, I rode GK several times and really enjoyed it. Nice relaxing, smooth coaster, I thought it was really fun and unique.

Will Ferrell quote from Stepbrothers, " I remember when I had my first beer".

I thought that thread was hysterical. To quote Will Ferrell from Wedding Crashers, "What an Idiot"! I think Stud hit the nail on the head, he snuck some of Mom's wine coolers when he got home and fell madly in love! Haha

I was pushing the stroller and stopped by DB today and noticed it was pretty much a walk on and was stacking, watched it stack 3 times in a row after leaving Planet Snoopy to walk through Coney with my daughter.
