You go to the Processing Center right outside the main gate to the left of the main walkway! It is right near Invertigos lift hill, to the right, you will see the switchbacks for the line. Welcome to KIC!

Not hours upon hours, but he has some interesting stories to tell, don't forget his witty and dry humor.! -
Which is just how they should be. Though it's a bit intrusive.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
stashua123 replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
It is really hard to believe we were only on page 32 of the Starting to Decode 2014 thread back on May 18th 2013. Some people still believed it was not a coaster.... Somebody, quite accurately, predicted why they would name Banshee and its possible backstory.(Minus B&M Roar) Terps post on the page was very great! Which leads to the point below. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/27275-starting-to-decode-2014/page-32 For all those worrying about the discussion hitting a off topic lull, don't worry! Soon enough something will happen and we will all start discussing predominantly that. As Terp said in STD2014, "This is the future's rosy past." And I say cherish these rosy times! -
I remember seeing an interview with a hair transplant specialist. Turns out it is his hair just not originally from his head. Uhh......... how??? I hope Trump knows what hes getting into if he goes to the park, the clientele and neighborhood around are not exactly the safest, and SS would have a security nightmare on their hands... or at the very least tedious. I hope I visit Kentucky Kingdom this year.

Geauga Lake: Worlds Once Adventured
stashua123 replied to Beasttamer's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Watched it. Even though I love Cedar Fair ATM, this and the attempted Apollo sellout have to be the lowest moments I have ever seen by the company, and all have a common perpetrator. At least Six Flags gave Houston, Texas a chance to say goodbye to Astroworld, they did not even give the visitors a chance to say their goodbyes! This would be the ultimate nightmare for me if Kings Island closed for the season and five days later they announce it will close. I am still very mad at Cedar Fair for this, but under Ouimet, things have gotten better for the company and how it does business. -
Strickers Grove's Teddy Bear
stashua123 replied to ZosoBeast's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Sorry if I am being shortcut stashua but another good way to get to Strickers Grove is to exit off of I-275 on Blue Rock near Ronald Reagan, take Blue Rock all the way over to near the Fort Scott subdivision across the Great Miami River to near the end of the road, take New Haven Rd to 128, turn right and then you will be there! I hope to go to Strickers Grove this year, since I have not been there since August 2011. It seems like a nice amusement park!! -
Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
stashua123 replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
Just another SC Story by (I think) an intern that is not really special, nothing to worry about. And Terpy is right, I read somewhere that was going to happen but I think Cedar Fair stopped it from happening. That would be hilarious, and a short drive for me when I start driving! And after said Putzs we would all drive back up to KI and have fun FUN! -
I am also very, very tolerant of cold water and temperatures. I once swam in Houghton Lake in Michigan, July 2014 when the water temperature crashed overnight due to temperatures only making a high of 56 degrees, water was about the same as the air. Swam in it for thirty minutes before I could not handle it. And EDIT: I swam in the lake without a wet suit, just my swim trunks and no shirt! 50 degrees+ I can tolerate almost anything. Heck I rode the Log Flume when it was 64 degrees out. I went to Soak City when it was only 65-70 degrees out last year and did just fine.

I will be at KI next weekend, though not for CoasterStock. I just might want to go over to Soak City! Hope to see y'all there!

Wrong lane on Kings Island exit can cost you $18
stashua123 replied to KIfan73's topic in Kings Island
As in the tolls are very badly designed, they go from four lanes to twelve lanes back down to 3 lanes. Signage is poor, the roadway right now to get to the entrance is badly designed and possibly dangerous with no light. However she should have known better. -
It had smoke fog beneath the trains in the station! Wow!

DC and other East Coast cities have a lot jobs that need higher education(though that is not always the case) with a HUGE Cost of Living expenses, and because of a higher cost of living, employers have to pay more than say Cincinnati. San Francisco a 1500 sq ft piece of grass, just gonna cost you $300,000! (Found here: http://www.fastcoexist.com/3050134/what-kind-of-house-does-300000-get-you-around-the-world) That could get you a nice 3-5 Bedroom McMansion in the Cincinnati area for that price! Its all about Cost of Living wherever you go, Cincinnati is ranked fairly well on the list, though not as cheap as it used to be do to Gentrification. Covington still has a cheap Cost of Living. Back on topic: I think KI should have known better and designed the entrance and tolls better. Though that lady should have known better also. -
Ah thats what it was you were looking for. It was a shame we could not find them. Yes you sort of went along with it too and I brought it up because I thought it was funny thinking of how much Malem and I strided through the Midways on Opening Day, I think I lost 3 pounds walking around! Oh so Invertigo valleyed at 6 instead of 3:30, thanks! Thank you, this means a lot! I think I will be at KI next weekend, unfortunately NOT for Coasterstock since I did not sign up in time. :/ I know! I am as surprised as you that I have been to KI this many times this year! I only went four times last year so this year will be making up for lost time. Thanks! I try to make my Trip Reports as exciting as possible for people reading, glad it is helping you somewhat but I wish it were not torturing you! You will go soon enough! Thanks for the comments everybody, they encourage me to write more Trip Reports.

Unless you are on the payroll you don't know anything as fact. If you did know then you wouldn't be saying anything on a forum. NDA's prevent that. Just because you have a operated a ride back when you were a teenager and have decent talking relationship with Don doesn't mean you know the inner workings of a park. What is Terpy's line again? Those who know don't speak? Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.” -Lao Tzu

I would not go that far(Are you sure he is an ACEr? Bit low to say that...).... KI DID respond in 1999-2000 to KK with a 35 million dollar expansion that lead SIX to move its plans elsewhere to a World of Adventure. 2015, HW responded to KK reopening with a Thunderbird, 2016, KK responded with a Storm Chaser. 2017? Now we have falling trees in KI. I am not saying that they planned whatever they are building because of competition, this could have been in the planning stages since Banshee opened or even before. I don't know what is being built at KI, and those who are speaking in the Decoding thread have no idea either. EDIT: Thanks Terpy
