  1. Everything about that ride needs a revamp: from the name, to the interiors, to the theming, to the characters, to the effects, etc, etc. I'll never forget the first time I heard the name, "Boo Blasters on Boo Hill." Really? How long did it take to come up with that little gem? "Hmm...they're ghosts and ghosts go 'boo' and we'll blast them and they live on a hill, hmmm, what could we call it? I know! Boo Blasters on Boo Hill! Genius!" Then they thought it would be a good idea to rip out all the good characters and replace them with cardboard cutouts. There is no theming, no story...nothing. The ride queue used to be completely engrossing with Maestro playing music and talking to you. Now, it's complete crap. Don't even get me started on the TVs they put in there. Now the queue is even more pointless than it was last year. Playing a music video for Frozen's "Let it Go," really? What's that got to do with Boo Blasters and the whole theme and story? Most of the ride is cheaply manufactured, then the ending scene that's pitch black with all the skeletons growling and groaning with glowing eyes is too scary for young kids, so I'm confused about who the target audience was. The retheme is just a complete disaster and a complete disgrace to the history of the park and the rides that were contained within that building. I get too riled up just thinking about it so I'm going to end my rant. Thank you for reading.
  2. I'd like to see a log flume style dark ride sort of like "Splash Mountain" but, of course, not on that scale. It would sort of be a throwback to the Enchanted Voyage and The Smurfs where you'd ride through in a boat. I also love the old dark ride at Dollywood called The Flooded Mine. This new ride could be themed and follow some sort of story line. The ending could have a splash down, not a huge one, but just big enough to give a thrill. I think something like this could be a unique addition to the park.
  3. IF?? You can't go to WDW and not go to MK! On my trips, I always allot about 40-50% of my time just to MK That's like going to Goldstar or Skyline and ordering a salad! Well....we were just down there last November (we took at detour on our honeymoon) to specifically go to Magic Kingdom. This year though, we might only get one day at Disney since we're going hit up Universal also. So we're thinking of trying to do one of the parks that we don't see much of like Epcot or Hollywood Studios. I'm going to try to push for an extra day at Disney so we can do Magic Kingdom, but we'll see!
  4. I love rides like this. I was one of the first people in line for Ariel's Undersea Adventure when I was in the park last year and I'm a 33 year old male. My wife and I are going back down in October and if we make it to the Magic Kingdom, I'll be happily waiting to ride this one as well!
  5. Here is a complete ride through from both the front seat and the back seat:
  6. ^ I agree that there are varying degrees of breaking terms and stealing. As they say in those anti-piracy commercials, "You wouldn't steal a car, so why steal a movie?" Well...if I could download a car for free, I just might. That being said, if the Fast Lane pass has already been paid for, there are no more for sale, and it's the end of the day, why would it be wrong to give your pass to someone else? It could result in that person becoming a fan and buying future passes. I don't know. I think it's a gray area.
  7. I think a great name for a large, noodly appendage would be Johnson. Johnson A. Noodle. I suppose the "A" could stand for "Appendage."
  8. I like the seat belts on Diamondback. They make me feel EXTRA safe
  9. Exactly. I used to not be much of a conspiracy theorist, nor did I really care. However, once I started reading, it became pretty scary stuff. A lot of it is based on facts and things that are actually documented. If you don't believe me, just watch a documentary called "Loose Change" about the 9/11 attacks. You'll never think the same way again.
  10. I think they could lower their prices a little and make a killing! If you could buy a combo at Kings Island for around $8, then why leave the park to pay $5 or $6? You wouldn't. It would be worth the extra few bucks to stay there an eat, but $13? I'm leaving the park. I went into LaRosa's to price a slice of pizza or a combo. The pizza combos are $14. 2 slices of pizza, breadstick, and a drink. $14. No thanks. I'll go get a large, 2-topping pizza at the actual restaurant for $12. I understand there is a convenience factor factored into these outrageous prices, but still, they're still way to high for me to even consider buying food there.
  11. I understand KI is a business, but I agree with the statement about the food prices. I was there Friday night with my wife and my niece and we were walking through Planet Snoopy looking at food prices because my niece was hungry. $13 for a hotdog kids meal! $13? That's not business, that's robbery. Since it was close to closing time anyway, we ended up leaving and getting food outside of the park. Now merchandise doesn't seem to be too bad. My wife bought a t-shirt with a vintage KI logo on it and it was $12.99 plus 10% off with her gold pass. Not too bad really.
  12. Holy crap I thought the exact same thing! She gave all these weird, unrelated statistics and then never really made much of a point with them. I guess she was just saying that lots of things happen in 2 minutes and 45 seconds? Who knows! I just remember thinking to myself, "Ok, that was weird."
  13. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who offered advice and tips. We were able to retrieve the passes!
  14. Thanks guys. I was able to find out how to look up the order. Unfortunately, I can't figure out which phone number my sister used to order the passes. Once I figure that out though, I should be able to get it.
  15. Hey guys, I have a question about a season pass problem. My sister, who is not really knowledgeable when it comes to electronics, ordered season passes from Kings Island's website last October but didn't bother to print them or save the PDF files. She just assumed that they sent them in an e-mail. So she calls me tonight asking me to print the passes for her, but has no idea where they're at. I've been all over KI's website looking for a way to access her order. I even logged into her account from the link provided in the verification e-mail they sent her after she made her purchase. I refuse to believe that there is no way to access your season pass order once you close the original purchase page. I always just renew my season passes or print them right away, so I've never had to deal with anything like this before. She said she's going to call the park tomorrow and talk to them about it, but I figured I'd jump on here and see if anyone might know another way to do this sooner. If anyone has any information, advice, etc. that would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
  16. ^^ Really like this trailer/video. What software did you use to put it together?
  17. KI posted on their Facebook page about this weekend's schedule. They said that Sunday is closed for a private event.
  18. ^ I'm getting sick of all the Pop music blaring throughout the park! I thought it was bad enough hearing it in all the various areas, now it's inside the rides too? I know Boo Blasters was one of the more generic of the "themed" rides, but at least it was something. I do not want to hear Pop music inside Boo Blasters while I'm waiting. My wife and I were in the very end of the line for Banshee on Friday back towards the Eiffel Tower on International Street and we were listening to the various songs playing and we were reminiscing about when they used to play instrumental music that made that area feel epic. Then as we moved through the line into different areas of the park and then finally into Action Zone, the music never changed once. They were pumping the same songs through the entire park. No variation or anything. It just makes me sad really. The atmosphere of the different areas of the park feel no different than if you were sitting in your car listening to the radio. It's a shame really. Now to hear that they're pumping this mess into the 'inside' ride queues too? It's just sad to hear.
  19. ^ "The park REALLY could have done a better job managing the crowds, though...that was the big low point of the day. Line Jumpers and Fast Lane Abusers galore...Banshee seems to not only bring out the evil within other rides- she also does her work on mortals, it seems...(There were no Line Jumpers and there was much less FL abuse at Beast than there was at Banshee)" I'm really glad you mentioned this because my wife and I noticed this too. I was a HUGE problem when we were suffering through our 4+ hours wait. It was completely insane how many people were coming through the line to meet up with other people who were already there. We also made it a game of counting all the Fast Lane people coming in and were making "cha ching, cha ching" sounds as they entered the Fast Lane entrance lol. We had to make light of it or we could've become pretty angered by watching all the abusers. Oh well. Sounds like you had a rough day (at some parts), but glad that it turned out good anyways!
  20. ^^This kind of crap really ticks me off! What's wrong with people? How can someone be so selfish and steal shirts away from other guests? And also, where were the staff in charge of handing out t-shirts? How could they not notice that these people were already carrying multiple shirts. If they went to grab another shirt, speak up and tell them no and to get the heck away. What a bunch of nonsense. ^There were some people, like myself, who were unable to go to media day or participate in the fundraiser because of work and other obligations. For some of us, opening day was our only chance for a Banshee t-shirt (other than to buy one of course). For me, not getting a t-shirt is not the end of the world. Would I have liked to had one? Of course, but I'm not going to stress about it. However, it's the principle of the whole thing that gets to me. To know that people pretty much stole t-shirts and milked the system and that the workers just stood around and let it happen. Just ridiculous.
  21. Not sure what was going on today, but there was no music or sound effects on Adventure Express at all. None in the queue and none on the ride. The final tunnel with the natives was completely silent. No music, talking or anything. Not sure if it was just when we rode it, or if it was like that all day. We were on it probably around 6 or 6:30.
  22. ^ We rode Adventure Express and it had FunTV. Not sure about the carousel, we didn't go over near it today.
  23. Forgot to mention that we did get a Banshee soft serve cone. With the gold pass discount it was $4.47 (I believe) and was about half the size of last year's. Not sure if that's the size they're going with this year or if it was a training issue, but that's how large they seemed to be for everyone. Yes! I'm glad someone else caught this too. My wife and I were standing in line for a Banshee twist cone after riding, and we were looking at the size of the cones people were being handed and we were both like, "What in the world?" It was like cones from Dollar Days or something. I was like, that's not $5 worth of ice cream! My wife said she'd send it back and tell them to put more ice cream on that cone if they handed one to her that size. Luckily, we got someone who actually made a decent sized cone, but some of the cones we saw being handed out were just sad and pathetic. At $4.59 for a regular cone and $5.59 for a waffle cone, they had no business skimping on the ice cream like they were today.
  24. When we got in line, the end of the line was back at the end of the fountains by the Eiffel Tower. From there until the time we entered the temporary queue, it was only an hour. We were neither thirsty nor hungry at that point. We were unaware of how long the rest of the line was going to be. It wasn't until we got a little ways back that we noticed another 5 miles of queue line still in front of us. We weren't able to go get food or drink then, unless we wanted to leave the line and line jump (which we had seen MANY other people do, but decided that we will not, under any circumstances participate in that type of activity). So we just had to suffer through another 3 hours + without food or drink. We did not prepare, but we were also unaware of how long the queue was since it was our first visit. I did assume, however, that up in the main queue that there would be vending machines since you find them in most other queues. I was wrong, and also a bit surprised. If I had known any of this, I would have bought food and drink to take with me in the line. Oh well. Next time I will know better, but next time I will not be waiting 4 hours + to ride Banshee.
  25. ^ My wife and I witnessed a walk of shame while we were in line. It was when the wait time was between 4 - 4 and a half hours. I'd hate to be that person and had to leave after all that time, but I'm with you, there is a test seat. I think I would have tried that first before waiting all that time.
