I like Firehawk a lot, but the restraints on it press down on my chest so hard that I feel like I have an issue breathing. Anyone else have this problem? I try to give myself a little room when I put them on, but the attendants always end up pushing down on it anyway. By the end of the ride it's so tight I have to take short shallow breaths and I start panicking. I went to Cedar Point recently and had a similar problem on Gatekeeper.

Thanks for all the answers! I think this is the year when I finally buy fudge from there (if I have time on the way out.)

I see, thanks for the response! I'll have to check out that restaurant when I go.

Is the buffet still around? I was looking at KI's website and couldn't find it. Also, has anyone had the fudge at the International Street Fudge & Candy Shop? I always think it looks good, but I never get it. Is it worth it?

Most Embarrasing Thing That Happened To You At KI
Pepsi replied to KIMonster14's topic in Kings Island
When I was around 7 or 8, my family went into the Phantom Theater. My mom thought it would be too scary for me, so she covered my face with my hat and wouldn't let go. When we were getting off the ride, one of the employees was laughing at me. -
Sorry, I'll try to keep that in mind next time I'm visiting Cedar Island.

Thanks!

How does it work exactly? Do they send you something you have to print out, or do they take down your name and you go up to the express pass booth at KI? If it's the latter, do you need to bring ID with you?

How about an abandoned ferris wheel that still spins? It has no motor, just the wind pushing it. Here's someone riding on it

Thanks for posting about this. I went and took a look. Made me feel good.

I had a "close call" on the Tomb Raider ride. I was feeling sick and decided I didn't want to go on the ride after all, after I had already been strapped in. So I asked the guy to remove my restraints and he sort of did (I think he didn't remove them all the way? I couldn't get up for some reason. It happened so long ago I can't remember.) He walked away then and I panicked and thought they were going to start up the ride and I was only half restrained. Luckily he came back and finished up removing it. I'm sure now that they wouldn't have started up the ride with me not strapped in, but at the time I was a kid and it was scary.

Say it ain't so. D:

Steel. Wooden ones are fun but they tend to give me headaches. I do love The Racer though! I've never really had a problem with that one.

My dad took me on The Beastie when I was around 5 or 6 and my mom was furious about it! She yelled at him about it because she thought it was "too scary" for a little girl, but I loved it! And I still love coasters to this day. I'm glad my dad didn't give up and kept taking me on coasters throughout the years. (My mom and my older brother unfortunately hated roller coasters.)

Vortex is usually one of my favorite rides, but this year I only went on it once because it hurt.
-
I just realized I've never ridden on the blue side of The Racer. Not even back when it was going backwards. Anyway, I didn't think it was too bad when I rode it. I thought The Beast was much worse. I was screaming by the end - from pain, not from fear!

I always try to get the front seat if I can, because I like the view. I especially like the front seat on The Racer. It's so much fun!

Even though I was like 6 or 7 when they changed it over, I always liked Hanna Barbera best. I liked Nickelodeon when I was growing up, but for some reason I didn't like the Nick theme in Kings Island at all. Maybe it was the colors they used? I always found it kind of gloomy for some reason. I'm liking Planet Snoopy so far, it's nice to see brighter colors. But Hanna Barbera is still my favorite.

One time I was in Hanna-Barbera land, standing to pose with a mascot, I think it was Cindy Bear. Then Captain Caveman came along and bumped into her and she kind of pushed him back. Then they started to make "pfft" sounds (like blowing a raspberry) at each other, and then finally, Cindy Bear put her face right on Captain Caveman's nose, paused, and went "pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffftttttt" for a really long time. It was hilarious. But I think you kinda had to be there for it. I have a picture of the two of them somewhere, maybe I'll scan it sometime. I also liked the elephant fountain. And wasn't there a place in Hanna Barbera land where you could sit and eat with a bunch of vines overhead? I may be thinking of the Columbus Zoo though.

Yeah I was confused by that too. It didn't help that once I sat down I wanted to go to the buffet right away and was told to wait for the server, and he took a while getting to me. Edit: In their defense though, other buffets are like that too. Hometown Buffet has a server who gives you your first drink too, even though you can get your own refills.

I had a Fast Lane pass when I went and I still got told where to go. Not on The Vortex but on a few other roller coasters like Firehawk, they would tell me to go to the back or to lane 6 or whatever needed filling.

That would be awesome! I love video games.

I ate there and I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything mind-blowing but it was good, and it had some good options for vegetarians. I would eat there again.

It may surprise some of you but I'd like it if Pepsi's contract was renewed.

I went to visit on Tuesday and I didn't see any mascots walking around all day, even in Planet Snoopy. I was just curious, do they have them anymore?
