I like the look of grey wood on a roller coaster, especially in the woods. Makes it a little bit blending in.

No longer following the footers currently placed, I am now following the progress of the Bents being placed on the ride! We currently as of August 30th at 1:00pm, have 22 bents in place. EDIT: By the way, I counted all of the Bents for the ride using the layout that was leaked. And there should be 538 bents through the entire ride. There might be a few missing, but that seems like an accurate number. So as of 1:30pm we have 23 out of 538 Bents in place!

Until we can finally see a layout with the other rides next to it, We won't really know the TRUE layout of it (until after it's being built in the area obviously.)

If we did then we already knew it was a wooden roller coaster. Even though we've suspected it for a long time. It's hard to figure out a manufacturer for steel roller coasters when it's just footers.

There is some interesting work going on right now.

I don't see how "by the fence" can be confusing in any way. Because the only fencing we are now allowed to be by for Mystic Timbers is the actual teaser fence.

^ no, I believe the queue is going to be where the fence is. They paved the service road next to the train. It's also going into the area where the lift would be. Looks like workers are cleaning and prepping the footers for supports. I wonder if they will open up at least the WWC line up to the crossing so we can at least come near the construction site without being actually in it.

I'm going to attempt to do this weekly starting today! Here is a construction progress of Mystic Timbers (Via a top/down view of the ride) Note that right now it's only footers that are placed, and not the support structure it's self.

Has anyone honestly gone to Mason City Hall since the announcement to see if they have new plans filed?

No it's safe. The station is past the Railroad tracks yes, but it's not too close. There is room. The way I have it on there is not accurate at all, due to the camera being a fish-eye, so it's hard to get it accurate.

You know, I kept asking myself how they're going to get the ride open for April if they're actually far behind schedule... And then I watched the March 1979 POV of The Beast (The version with no Helix Tunnel) and I realized that, while they do need to finish the ride, They can begin testing if the track and supports are completed. The handrails and catwalks seen on most wooden roller coasters (if not nearly all of them) can be added while they're doing their testing. (Not directly while testing, But you know what I mean. They can be added over time until opening day, or close to it.) Not only that, but The Beast looks massive with the trees not as tall as they are today.

Well now wait. Last time they used Festhaus as an Announcement location, we got Snoopy Space Buggies, and Woodstock Gliders. KI Also announced the new Parking Plaza in Soak City as well.

Zen rides on The Beast, Adventure Express, Invertigo, & Banshee are quite lovely as well.

They're making the footers now. They'll add the bolts later They're totally going to let the wood sit on top and hope for the best... (Sarcasm intensifies)
