  1. Let's not forget this path below that is also apart of Rivertown. they can place a few things right there. Also, if they removed the old Crypt building, and added a path right there that could loop back to The Beast, you have another location for rides. photo via Google Maps
  2. Why are we talking about Drugs. How did it relate to the post above yours King? (Two posts ago.)
  3. Welcome to America. Everything must be perfect and non-offending to everyone, and everything. Even a little ant.
  4. Just rode DB. I noticed that in the lake that there are two large footers in it I'm guessing there might be a bridge for that area. Or they haven't made the rest of them just yet.
  5. When you're lifting something that could be nearing 100ft tall and you're lifting it from one point, it's going to give without extra help. Especially wood. Mistakes happen, people do forget things. It would explain while they're currently not moving anything and double checking. Would you want to ride a wooden roller coaster where a bent had bend (hah) to a very stressful level for the wood? Nah... They know what they're doing. Trust them. We have until April folks.
  6. I just noticed this today while looking at Mysti construction. It looks like the Madem Fatal line has been moved to use the (Currently closed for the season) White Water Canyon entrance path. Look to the right under Diamondback's last Airtime hill on the Mystic Timber's webcam and you can see roped off lines in the location talked about (Good views of Mystic Timbers while there is still an hour of daylight left?)
  7. Gravel is now showing up on the first drop again! Looks like Vertical construction either today or tomorrow hopefully!
  8. I'd say clearing is at least 95% There might be some stuff left. Coaster building is like, 2 or 5% currently.
  9. They may move it, or have a second camera at the old Train-Station
  10. Kings Island Central Coffin Race anyone?
  11. I want to say, I'm only speculating though... I think that we will see the lift-hill being topped by October. As in, The lift will be fully built (Not including track work) before the park closes, and we could get lovely pictures of our new ride!
  12. I consider MF trains to be couches on wheels. They're amazing.
  13. I mean, It's only 109 feet tall... With most of the ride at Ground level, they honestly don't need to really pay for a big crane to come out, especially since it's a wooden roller coasters. They can assemble the smaller stuff, and build on site, the larger stuff.
  14. I believe what they're doing is that they're assembling them right on the footers now, and then lifting the top up into place, since this is really the only other time it'll be that tall again, so they may be just lifting them like a pivot point into place. Could be wrong though. Time will tell
  15. They also can't do much with the park open during the weekends. The bents are being assembled behind the Crypt building, and then transported across the train tracks to the work area. They can't do much with a train coming and going every 5 minutes. Plus with an incident I heard from Magenta Lizard about the trucks... In case you forget what it was about.. It's possible that it was reported to management at the Park and the park said no more construction, or minimal construction, during operating hours. (I'm not sure if they did anything though) At the same time, it can just be Labor Day weekend.
  16. That's the beauty of wooden roller coasters. They are constructed and fabricated on site. I thought I read somewhere that Arrow used to do the same thing. But yeah wooden roller coasters are nice like that.
  17. While I've been with the forums for about Four years and counting as of the time of writing this, I would say I've been kind of up and down with a good standing. I have been working to improve this quality of mine that I have, trying to even it out, give myself a good standing with the forum and the community, as well as the park. As well as when it comes to serving an example for Content, and topics (As I do not get into many debates unless they deal with the park.) I attempt to do my best to do so. Obviously I have had issues in the past with not agreeing with the TOS, I have come to learn the TOS and accepted it as apart of the way of life on this forum. I manage to come on often, despite a busy schedule. Attempting to help out the community, specific members, as well as helping out issues that have been occurring. (I have not done this much, but I do attempt when the moment becomes right.) I am volunteering myself for the position, knowing that the job will have no real qualifications (that pertain to the real world) other than being an example for the Kings Island park, as well as the KIC site. Thanks! -CoasterOhio I also volunteer malem to be apart of the team.
  18. ^ Actually, the Distance they honestly need, estimating it from where we are being shown on the ground and using maps to calculate the distance. We have maybe 275-300 feet of room at ground level. With a vertical height of 109.2 feet (as stated on GCI's Website) We are honestly looking at a Vertical Angle of (approximately) 20* Which is quite normal-ish for a Lift Hill on a Wooden roller coaster As references... The Beast's Lift 1 has a height of 110ft Using up 260ft of space at ground level. Using the same calculations (a right-triangle calculation) The Beast's Lift Hill is about 23* Diamondback is 230ft tall, and the lift hill takes up 290 feet at ground level Diamondback has about a 38* Lift Hill Banshee is 167ft and takes up 205ft, That makes her lift hill angle at 39* Just around the same as Diamondback. So I think we will be okay with the angle. It looks like it's about the same as Beast on the video too, just to kind of back up evidence. We will be okay. Trust the park with their knowledge, and what they're doing. Edit: Racer has an angle of 18* 88ft lift hill with 270ft of space at ground level.
  19. ^ That's why I'm saying we shouldn't judge the ride by the animation. Because I believe it's not accurate to how the ride looks at all. We still have most of the actual drop it's self not poured (footer wise) Noting by my progress that is placed, there are a lot of supports unplaced still for the drop. We currently have the bottom of the drop. Edit: What a difference Three days makes! Photos courtesy of @KingsIslandPR on Twitter
