  1. They typically play it about 10 to 15 minutes before the national anthem. I believe they are playing it because it has plenty of references to having a fun day, as well as Roller coasters and Eiffel Tower references (Just don't climb it... You'll get into trouble)
  2. How I feel guests usually are. (Specifically when driving after the park closes)
  3. Maintenance, Low Ridership, Injury reports... Just naming few options....
  4. Sorry to bring this back up, but as of 2010 this isn't true. That was the last season I was trained as a ride operator. The rule is that on any Rollercoaster at KI there must be someone at least 18+ that is certified to be in the operator booth. Whether or not that individual is in the booth or on the floor is inconsequential. When I was 17, I was certified on The Beast, Racer, Vortex, Flight of Fear, and Adventure Express. This could have changed since then though. I believe you were a bit confused by what I wrote. What I mean by Blue tags operating Surf Dog, I mean that Blue Tags are driving Surf Dog. I am an Operator as of this day. And the rule is that only White Tags (people 18+) are the only people allowed to drive or operate Roller coasters. ------ Side note. I'm going to Mason sometime this week and I'll be looking at the plans for 2017. Awee~ yeah.
  5. White name tag means they are 18 years old or older. Blue means 16 to 17 and yellow means 14 White 18+ Blue 16-17 Yellow 15- The rule is that anyone under the age of 17 in Cedar Fair (Or at least with Kings Island) Cannot operate a roller coaster. But if people with Blue tags are operating Surf Dog, then the park does not see it as a roller coaster.
  6. Every single other ride, the person who is operating the Control panel is always someone with a pure White tag. While with flat rides such as Delirium, WindSeeker, Gliders, or any other ride that is not a roller coaster, I have seen both Blue striped tags, and pure White tags driving them. Surf Dog has Blue tags operating it. What I mean by tags, by the way, is name tags.
  7. To the park. Surf Dog is not considered a roller coaster. (To Cedar Point it is though.)
  8. That's with the recent B&M's.... If it were say, a wooden coaster the announcement might be made earlier.
  9. Why did I not think about that AT ALL? It could be very possible, given the right amount of work done, that a station could fit into the old TR:TR (Crypt) Building that is basically just SBNO (Until Haunt) It would be nice if we had an Indoor station, with an outdoor track so people can check it out from outside, but people don't know what's coming from inside (The second Launched Woodie anyone?)
  10. I'm on Team Waiting for the Announcement for the Announcement.
  11. How do we know that? Origins: USA But X-works could easily be Alton Towers in the United Kingdom just as much as X-works can be Kings Island.
  12. ^ I was going to personally get that tomorrow as well.
  13. Not all of that is the queue, Honestly the queue begins after the crossing. The rest is just a path... Could the construction wall be a thematic turnaround for our possible coaster? Or will the queue be over there? We don't know yet. Time will tell. We have a few more months of the season, and a possible announcement on the way.
  14. I wonder if I'm having a similar issue, but with blacking out. In recent years, I've been able to ride Banshee without the slightest issue with Blacking out. Now I'm blacking out in the back row, and in the front row. Along with this, I'm also slightly blacking out on the front row of Bat.
  15. Inverti-stuck? Diamond-Stack? I wouldn't mind Giving some syrup to the DB crew one of these days.
  16. Awesome! Thank you! I wonder if they said Little Vikings instead....
  17. Actually a question emerges. Why would they put a label on it if it's not painted? The grey is the actual colour. Which is a bit interesting... but at the same time, the grey on the yellow looks unpainted, while the grey on the grey piece of track actually looks painted grey.
  18. I'm opening this topic to ask if anyone has video, or knows the lyrics to a parody of the Little Einsteins theme song using Kings Island's Viking fury. I only know two lines (at most) "We're going on a trip, in our favourite Viking ship Flying through the sky..." that's all I know. Does anyone have the rest?
  19. Are they being paint readied, Or are they actually painted grey? Is the best question to ask at this time.
