Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
CoasterOhio replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
It's very simple. Don just doesn't want every tree removed. Specifically THAT pine tree. -
They will more than likely be the Nanocoasters. I had talked to CD on Sunday, and he had shipped Nanocoasters out to the park on Monday (5-16) So they're more than likely here, and should (I REALLY HOPE) Be available by tomorrow.

Was anyone expecting a big announcement this weekend? It's not even close to announcement time. I wouldn't expect any announcement to be made until August. But, there will definetly be teasers out there. Now then. Park would've said something about an announcement by now within Coasterstock. Better have video of Don 24/7 during the event in case of any tree falling hints. -

Yes, really. At this point, until probably Coasterstock. We're just talking about whatever is occurring at other parks and not even trying to figure out what is coming to KI. Especially since we're open on the weekdays. No one is riding rides and figuring things out? No one is checking areas to see for new survey markers and marking them on a map? No one is posting any viable information? No new hints around the park at all? They could easily sneak something into Action Zone just as much as Rivertown just to throw people off. -

I want to add this to decoding... I found this video about where roller coasters come from, it features Matt Ouimet (Who is the CEO of Cedar Fair) and the VP of P&D Rob Decker. Specifically, I heard a part of Ouimet's speech about what's coming to what parks and I heard something very interesting... It specifically happens at the 3:20 mark of this video, in which he talks about doing work on the fountains in the "Kings" parks, referencing to Kings Dominion and Kings Island. He said they started with Canada's Wonderland, and I know that KD recently had their fountains worked on... So, putting things together. the KI fountains are going to be worked on soon? "General Park Refurbishment" I think is the category that's in... --- I'm honestly tired of talking on here and not decoding anything new, so I'm going to post this here in lights that we have something new to talk about that is KI related, and not Point related. -

You know, I didn't think about it until now. Can we bring back that wooden stage from last year's Banshee Brew that Don posted and said "Hmm, that's interesting." CoasterOhio bringing back old topics to a new discussion. -
I'm coming. But as a worker

Moveable crane platforms. It's not too terribly far from the path right there to get something there. -

No actual news. But it is not that hard to reopen a coaster after it valleys. Typically they disconnect the cars, remove the up-stop wheels and just lift the cars off the track one at a time using a fork lift. Once the train is off the track and are confident it will not happen again they could test it with another train almost immediately. Since it is most frequently weather they just wait for conditions to change. Since the weather report looks slightly warmer and not as windy I would assume it will be running. Or if it's not terribly far from the next block (Example: Launch/Lift/Brake Run) Then they can easily try to maneuver a car through the ride to that point. Like If it valleyed between the drop and first airtime hill, they can simply pull the ride carefully through the lift. Saves time. Saves money. -

Terp knows what he's doin. Back to other news..... I honestly think I know exactly who Terp is in real life, but for the sake of it, (and the chance of asking a random person a random question that is no) I'm going to decide not to figure it out. But I'm pretty sure I know who he is. I'm talking about it, so I don't know. -

Just because it happened in the past doesn't mean it'll happen with this project. Look at The Beast. They preserved trees. If they found a tree they wanted to keep, they completely redid the layout to work around it. And moved on. It's not impossible to clear as little trees as possible and then install a roller coaster. It's happened before, it can happen again. Cedar Fair isn't all about just creating a hole in the forest and plopping a mega-steel structure in the middle of it. They can do some other things as well to please the GP and the CE. -

Someone talked about PR trolling is with The Racer last year. That's false. A user within the group enthusiasts started that rumor and it spread like a California wildfire. Anyways. Back to hiding since I can no longer wage an opinion. -
Yes. 25 years ago on June 9th 2016.
-
I feel like something to do with the events of June 9th 1991 But it doesn't add up, since the bridge is in the picture of 1992.
-
Figured I'd pop in here. If you ever look at Google Images, or Nearmap you can totally see that the line for Adventure Express was completely planned around the ride, since you can still see it's location based on the concrete as well as the beginning of the queue of Adventure Express.

Lots of work going on to Sling Shot, there is over 10 people in it, as well as two people suspended on the towers. DB Webcam

From what I saw on Diamondback, was that the markers I seemed to have seen by the airtime hill (first one after the first drop) is that it looked like a big clearing for a path like the WWC path. -

There was an ejection on New Texas Giant and Lightning Rod at Dollywood is having delays in opening. Texas Giant is the only real issue. Lightning Rod is due to the fact that they're putting new technology onto something wooden. Launched lift on a wooden coaster has never been done before. They want to make sure it's done properly. -

On my visit to KI on Friday, I went to the Eiffel Tower and I heard some very interesting sounds. I took video, but decided not to post it since I probably caught wind more than the sounds I was hearing. But what I will show, is a picture that I took using the telescope on the Eiffel Tower. The sounds I was hearing was of this, and someone clearing some trees away. Other than this, I found nothing else by using the telescope. Don was right, Nothing to see here. ----- RMC has been quite reliable. Only 1 incident I currently know about was the Texas Giant incident.
