Hey my dad and I wore our Beast hoodies to CP many times this year! It's sad to see Demon Drop go. That was a great ride. The best haunted house there had to be Lair of the Vampire, it was awsome!

O/k so I've been patient but nothing has come up. We went to Cedar Point on September 9th-11th and found out that TTD was closed! Nobody new what happened except that something had happened the weekend before. It's still closed! Anybody heard anything? I'm beginning to wonder if it's going to reopen.
-
Oh man! I had completely forgot about waiting for that. It was a real bummer, when we got their the line was out to the Antique Cars! Yes, it took us 4.5 hours to get from their to the cave on TR:TR(keep in mind that the queues were not open yet!). That's when they told us it just wasn't going to open that night.

Best drop on a coaster?
Coasterfan replied to The-Snapper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think Millennium Force's drop is the best with Top Thrill Dragster coming in second. -
We went yesterday too. We almost turned around but decided to go in anyway. We just rode The Beast and left. I'll enjoy walking on the rides while everybody is going to the mazes!

http://www.pki.com/fearfest/ My guess is September 7th. If you want to find it you must use this address. If you use fearfest.com as in previous years it will come up as a site for hauted attractions in St. Louis.

Are you scared of ferris wheels? Be Honest
Coasterfan replied to flightoffear1996's topic in KI Polls
Naw, I think they're boring. -
We need to be able to choose multiple amswers. I chose cry my eyes out, then I would kill the person who decided to take it down! Or maybe I would do both at the same time.
-
Actually they come to the middle of the park all the time. But the front seat is my favorite on TTD, just imagine you're sticking your head out of a car at almost twice legal highway speeds. What happened on MF and MaXair?
-
PKI is always closed to the general public during September. That's when the get rented out by different companies.

I LOVE buzz bars! My dad remembers riding The Beast back in the day, I really wish they would bring them back but there is no chance of that. I was lucky enough to get to ride The Screechin' Eagle alot when LeSourdsville was open in '02. Now that was an airtime coaster! One of the best rides I have ever been on.

Wow, I didn't know it was possible for some one to like coasters and not like those two.
-
All of the major rides. Whatever you do don't miss Millennium Force or Top Thrill Dragster. Try to ride MF at night if you can, it's a blast! Oh yeah, Demon Drop is great too.

Top Thrill Dragster stuck at top of tower.

That would be so AWSOME!! I hope that happens to me someday. -
Wow, that sounds different. We've been there 4 times this year and all of the rules are STRICTLY inforced. But yeah you do have to have 1 inch of slack in the belt for TTD and MF and you MUST ride TTD if you haven't! It will blow you away!
-
You said it Ben! I've rode IJ:ST twice and I probably won't be riding any more this year. On the other hand we went to Cedar Point for the first time this year and have rode TTD 14 times, MF 7 times and Magnum 24 times!

While on the web site it does say that the Giant changes directions and doesn't show a catwalk, there are three things that show the Delirium is definatly a Giant and not an XL. 1: On Huss's site it says that the max speed for an XL is 63mph, but on PKI's site and on Delirium it self it states that the max speed is 72mph. 2: The XL can only hold 40 people while the GF can hold 50, on PKI's site and Delirium it says the ride capacity is 50. 3: The XL's max swing height is 120' while the GF's is 137', again on PKI's site and Delirium it says the max height is 137'.

No I'm not a member of a club. Why? Does it make a difference on that day?

Coastermania, does this mean that it's going to be crowded? We may not be able to go, so it's going to be kind of a last minute decision.
-
O/K, I now this is a bit extreme, but we are wanting to go again this weekend. We wanted to go again this year and we want to do it before the crowds start. Somebody said this is grad weekend and that it's usually slow. Is it really that slow? We don't want to go on a crowded day.

Whoohooo! Just got back yesterday and it was the best amusement park trip of our lives! We got ther Friday night and decided that before we checked into our hotel we would go and look at CP(our hotel was a half block from CP drive). Well little did we know that you don't drive down CP Drive unless you are going to the park! We ended up at the gates with two choices, we could tell the nice people that we made a mistake and would like to turn around or we could go in a day early. Being the coaster enthusiasts that we are we chose the later. Since it was 5:30 it was only $26 each to get in, first we hit Raptor, what an awsome coaster, has to be the best suspended I've ever ridden. Next we started walking around and came across Top Thrill Dragster, so of course we had to ride it! It was about a 45 minute wait and all I can say is wow! This is the most extreme adrenalin pumping ride ever! I can't even express how much we loved this ride. Next it was off to Gemini and it was also a great ride, then we just had to ride Millennium Force. We waited about 45min and it was awsome! After this the park was closing(8:00) so we headed to our hotel. We didn't get in the park until 11:00 Saturday because all of a sudden my dad started getting realestate calls. We had planned on getting a two day pass, but at the gates the said they would allow us to apply the $26 from the night before towards season passes making them only $4 more than a two day pass so this was the obvious choice(now we have a good excuse to go back). We did so many rides I can't remember what we did first so I'll just list them in no perticular order. We rode Magnum for the first time, this is definatly one of our favorite rides! The air time on this ride insane! We rode Magnum 5 times Saturday. We rode Gemini again, as well as TTD(insane acceleration!)which we waited and hour and a half for and it was well worth it, Power Tower(the side that launches up), we rode Mean Streak(what a waste of time, this could pass for a kiddie ride), and we rode Blue Streak which was awsome! Sunday we got ther nice and early and rode Raptor in the front seat which made the ride twice as good! Then we went to Top Thrill Dragster(we got to ride it 3 times this weekend!) and of coarse it was once again the most awsome ride we've ever rode. Then we rode Millennium Force again, after that we rode Mantis, then it was over to Iron Dragon(better than Mean Streak but still a good kiddie ride, but then again we are a little thrill crazy). Then we rode Magnum two more times(a total of seven!) Then we went and rode Wicked Twister and it was awsome, glad we didn't skip it! The last ride we rode was Disastor Transport and it was also a waste of time. We really wanted to ride TTD again but it was about 2:20 and it was starting to sprinkle and we wanted to get home before dark, so we left. It's a good thing we did because we somehow got way of coarse which added an hour to the trip home. Sorry about the length but we just had a great time! I can't wait to go back later this year hopefully and ride TTD some more.

Man I'm sick of all this "I bet they will remove Racer and The Beast in 10 to 120 gazillion years from now" crap. I meam come on people are you that bored or just that high? Both Racer and The Beast are classics, both are popular, not to mension The Beast is rated as one of the best, if not the best night ride in the world. I mean come on, it's the parks staple ride, the main attraction, and I think the best ride in the park. As for saying that it will be removed when it's record is beat, that's like saying that Ford will stop making the Mustang because they now have the Ford GT, it's just rediculous.
-
No way, The Beast is the king of coasters! It really depends on what train you ride on SOB. We rode it two Fridays ago and it was the roughest ride we have ever had on it.
-
Ok, like I said we will be up there two days so that should give us plenty of time to do everything we want. What is the usual wait up there anyway?

I am planning on going to CP with my dad on May the 21-22. We have never been there before and were wondering if this is a bad time to go, if it is we can change the date, also any tips info would be welcome. Thanks.
