The spitting on rides is what really gets to me. I can't even remember how many times I got hit in the face on The Beast last year by someones flying spit-wad. Hasn't happened this year though.

The Beast is the best! Oh Yeah!

Bomb scare at Cedar Point
Coasterfan replied to Browntggrr's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Some people's idea of "entertaiment" is just as idiotic as...well, they are. -
It will be a very sad day when Demon Drop is gone from Cedar Point. It's my favorite freefall, and gives a much more enjoyable experience than other common drop rides. I do agree that this one just has something about it that gives you that "pit" in your stomach. Something about the drop.

Some pay as you ride waste of space? Do you agree?

Vertigo It's been tried, didn't work out to well. I think DOT and the trampoline should be removed. I believe they are going to take out the old laser tag building. I'll have to check to be sure though. -
At least they removed the article. Isn't it sad when we're excited about $3/gal gas? Sorry, sometimes you just gotta stand back and laugh to keep from going nuts. -Josh who doesn't really care that his Jeep gets 15mpg because it's just to much fun.

FIREHAWK=big time disappointment/waste of time.
Coasterfan replied to Michael's topic in Trip Reports
That awsome! The line moves pretty fast anyway, with both trains it should be a fairly short wait. I'm interested in seeing how the track moves. -

Are they finally running both trains? If they are this should really cut wait time down! -

I've ridden Firehawk 3 times with waits from about 3-1 hour(s). I definatly feel the ride is worth it! It is very thrilling and pretty intense in several places. It has become my favorite steel coaster in the park. -
Cool! I was in that line as well but had to leave before noon to go to my grandparents. Never fear fellow coaster enthusiasts...that didn't stop me. My dad and I came back last night, waited about 2.5 hours(the sign said 3) and finally got in our ride on the mighty Firehawk! I must say it is awsome! BTW, we didn't get on until around 9:45 and they were still giving out shirts

Will You Be There Saturday For Firehawk's Opening?
Coasterfan replied to welchce's topic in KI Polls
I'm not sure if I'll be there or not. Even if I am if the line is several hours there's no way I'm waiting. Who knows though, I may be at Cedar Point -
I'd pack a lunch and perhaps even bring some sleeping bags. I'd bring a tent as well. Those lake effect storms can be fast and furious!

Who would you want to make a signature steel for KI?
Coasterfan replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KI Polls
Yep, I love Intamin coasters and their hydraulic lap bars. And no, I didn't forget. There's a in there. -

Coasterfan replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KI Polls
Intamin! I absolutly love TTD and MF! I know a TTD type ride isn't a good investment at this point in time, but MF seems to be very reliable and incredibly smooth and just a wonderful ride experience over all. The T-bar is awsome to. -
I'm very impressed with how CF runs parks. From the first time I walked into CP I knew something was different. It was extremely clean, including the restrooms. The employees were mostly very friendly and happy and the whole place just seemed to go out of its way to make your visit more fun. Now I'm seeing these same things at KI and I must say, I'm very happy about it.

You have to buy the tickets. You can get them off of KI's site and get the park and concert tickets together.

"Spirit Song is back in the 14th year at Kings Island. Last year proved a huge success with thousands attending this day of Christian worship and fellowship. This year’s show anticipates even more excitement with the Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Kutless, Falling Up and many more." This is from KI's site. Just how packed is the amphitheatre? How early should I get there?
-
I've never been to it. I want to come see Casting Crowns this year though! Anybody know how long the concerts usually last?
-
Me thinks we're in sync lol

Welcome! On the wooden coasters with 3 rows per car, the second to last seat on the train is usually smoothest. Not sure about others though.
-
I actually had one of the best times ever. My dad and I rode the front seat on The Beast as the first riders of the season! That was very special for us, we've been to KI hundreds of times & probably rode The Beast over a thousand, but that was something we had never got to do before.

(Pops head in the door & frantically looks around)...Did somebody say free pizza? Where?!

I would still take SoB with FoF's old OTSRs over a ride on Mean Streak any day!

Should Kings Island get a record breaking coaster?
Coasterfan replied to Dalefan's topic in KI Polls
I think they would do both. I think they would embrace a money making park so as to help recoupe the payout for the parks. At the same time I think they will keep the rivalry going between the parks and I think CP will always be their #1 park. Which really is the way it should be, it's THE CF park, it came far before KI and when it come to thrills is the best park in the world. -
My favorite is the middle seat in the last car. The middles are always smoother and the back of the train just has a cool feel to it IMO. I like the front a lot to but the line is just to long most of the time.
