Doubtful. Pseudo-Gigas are not worthy.
-
My opinion is based on the historical fact of the soon to be 5 coasters and 15 years of Cedar Fair's ownership of KI (if you count 2020), that they have not installed one.
-
I think it is comical that a lot of people are predicting a record breaking RMC for the next coaster at KI. I do believe it will be a ground up RMC hybrid, but it will have similar stats to Twisted Timbers, not SV. Cedar Fair has obviously shown us that they are not interested in building record breaking rides at KI (with the exception of Banshee's longest inverted coaster record, which no one really cares about). The good news is that Twisted Timbers is a great ride.

Didn't KI tweet that Orion was just the beginning of Area 72?

I suspect it will. I don't expect this to have the relentless speed from start to finish that MF has. I still prefer MF over Fury but hopefully this keeps it's pacing better than Fury's "sleeper" second half. -

Even though I've voiced my opinion that Cedar Fair could've invested a little more to make this phenomenal, it still looks to be very good. To put Orion's elements in perspective; The second hill is higher than Banshee, the treble clef turnaround looks amazing and is almost as high as DB. The 5th hill is higher than Vortex and the helix is almost 20' higher than Mystic Timbers. There is a lot of height on this ride.- 693 replies

Yeah, they should appreciate all of our opinions and let people post their feelings and not forget that they wouldn't have the success of this site without the members. They may erase this, too. -

There are 2 hills over 200 feet high and another one coming very close at 174. There aren't many coasters out there that have 2 - 200 plus foot high hills. Can't think of any existing. -
Fury's drop is actually 320', so, it would only be a 19' difference.

There is an Apocalypse at Six Flags MM, I believe.

Don't get me wrong, this could still be a great ride. I just think "we" includes more people than us coaster nerds in this case because the local news channels have already been talking about this ride for some time and KI has yet to drop a hint. So, a lot more people know about this project than just us. That is probably another reason they have not hinted yet. It's free advertising and that saves money.
-
Why would they tease anything at this point? We know what it is going to be and they know we know, plus, it would be another build up to a possible let down to something that's no where near the scale that most people thought it would be. It costs money to tease and this design seemingly is something they worked with B&M to save money. That is pretty obvious in how they used the ravine to achieve the 301 foot drop as opposed to going up higher and spending more money on steel to make it bigger and longer. In my opinion from the look of it so far, it is a " just barely good enough" giga, that's technically a hyper with a giga drop into a ravine. So, no reason to spend anymore money on teasing something that is going to raise the overall cost of the project when the overall goal was to save money on this in the first place.
-
The reason Cedar Fair probably isn't teasing this coaster as much as past coasters at KI is because they don't have to. It's already been on the news, blogs, and other sites showing No Limits creations, etc. before the footers were even poured. This coaster has probably gotten more publicity without KI dropping a hint than any other coaster, ever! It is FREE ADVERTISEMENT!!

Most likely. Banshee was 24M, I believe. This one will probably be 26M-30M.
-
The new structure could be a place to store all of the things in those semi trailers that will have to be moved.
-
I hope you're right because it looks to be great element!
-
What on print makes most believe this will be a reverse treble clef? To me, it just looks like the standard turn around that Leviathan has.
-
I disagree. The GP will not know exactly what those terms mean, but they will know it's a record breaker of some kind and that is enough to get more people into the park.
-
That would seem logical. It would be almost ridiculous to not market it this way. I think it could help boost attendance. KI would probably get more people attending the park that usually don't from other states.
-
Oh, my mistake, but 5089' is significantly shorter than LEVI. Just hard to believe that after the first drop there is only one airtime element before the turnaround.
-
It was been speculated that the length of this ride is going to be a little less than LEVI at 5032'. Is that just an estimate or does the print give enough info for it to be accurate?
-
I think T-Rex is more likely than Raptor, but still less likely than Hybrid. I think CP will get first T-Rex before KI does though. Plus, KI doesn't have an RMC Hybrid. Makes sense that would be our next one, but we won't know for another 4-6 years.
-
Even if an RMC is KI's next coaster, which I believe it will be, I don't expect it to be anything close to Steel Vengeance. I would expect something similar to Twisted Timbers. The good news is that TT is an awesome ride. Some people I've talked to like it better than SV.
