  1. I don't the Diamondback is a "snooze fest". It is an airtime machine and that is the reason it consistently ranks in the top ten.
  2. IF there is a height restriction, it is because of the the very small Lebanon-Warren County Regional Airport, which is pretty far away from KI. Planes hardly ever fly over KI for their flight path to land there as it is. Also, If there are restrictions, KI could always request a height restriction increase, similar to what California's Great America just did with their 280 foot attraction that was just approved, rumored to open next season. CGA is much closer to a much larger and busier airport than Warren County's and they were still approved.
  3. I agree that it's all a reach, but fun to ponder. I also agree that the Giga Crane game wasn't a sign regarding Mystic Timbers construction, as MT is not a Giga.
  4. Good eye. That pic does point to where all of the discussed activity is taking place, at, or near the former DA. I'd also like to point out that the place where the T-Rex was at the entrance to the park advertising DA, has also not changed (with exception to T-Rex being gone). It's almost like it's just there waiting for another big something to go in it's place with a similar advertising theme, perhaps. Similar to the DA plaza still being there, but surrounded by a lot of fence with a big sign at the entrance (That they could have easily removed), now blank and seemingly reduced to a designated smoking area, all while the infamous snow shoveled "Giga" appeared in that very direction as well. Also, isn't the Giga crane game over near DA? Hmmmmm.......probably nothing, but interesting, nonetheless.
  5. A lot of trees, or just a few? What area by The Beast?
  6. didn't see that. don't really want trees cut down by The Beast, though
  7. No sign of any clearing or construction that I saw, which probably means NO. 2019. GIGA.
  8. Yeah, the alleged Dive coaster at CW and the secret Carowinds project for 2019 (assuming it's a coaster) makes me think that 2020 is the more likely year for us to get our giga as well.
  9. True, but when the design of this possible giga is finalized, steel is usually bought immediately after. This is usually 2-3 years before construction begins. So, if we are getting a giga in 19 or 20, i would bet they have the steel already purchased at the price of the time of purchase.
  10. In Tera Ryzing's defense, it would be a significantly higher investment cost than Fury to build an 8000 ft + Giga. I would say 35-40 million, at least. I would love for it to happen, though.
  11. Kind of makes you wonder if something big is going in right across, or close to Coney BBQ at some point in the not-so-distant future.
  12. Im thinking 315 feet tops, with some unique aspect to it, like they did with DB, Banshee and MT. Maybe "longest", or some other distinction that makes it KI's own, but I doubt they'll steal the thunder of "highest" away from their new Southeast thrill capital. I hope they do, though.
  13. highly doubtful.
  14. Interesting. A hint at something 300 plus feet high is coming, or is it because they just need to weld some of the bars on the observation deck? Nice catch, by the way.
  15. I would hope for an Intamin as well, but I'd be happy with BM. I've only ridden two gigas, Millennium and Fury, and I have to say, I like Milly better. It's a more intense ride IMO. Keeps up it's speed from start to finish, where Fury lets up at the slow helix.
  16. Not certain. Looks like they are outside of the park, actually.
  17. both
  18. Wow CW.......fail by letting the track become visible.
  19. Looks like the tunnel will enable the coaster to use both pieces of land on each side of Vortex by going under the water, to one side, then back to the other. With both pieces of land, this will be a big coaster. My guess is a B&M inverted.
  20. Oldschool75's prediction makes the most sense IMO. Between FOF and The Racer is the ideal spot. It could go back behind Banshee or it could go back where DA was. I also think the new possible Coney BBQ restaurant is going there because there will be even bigger crowds in this area because of the new possible Giga in 19 or 20. KI is always looking to the future and I'm sure the Coney BBQ could be the first step in a much bigger (giga) plan in 19. My only concern with getting a giga in 19 is that Canada's Wonderland is rumored to get a coaster that year. Usually, it seems Cedar Fair doesn't release large coasters in its bigger parks the same year. They seem to stagger the coasters built out over different years.
  21. Even if there is a height restriction, it's probably no less than 400' and KI could possibly do what Great America did recently with it's height restriction, which was to put in a request to have it raised.
  22. I've never heard of any height restriction at KI.
  23. I appreciate that. Nothing wrong with trying to see all the angles.
  24. The only thing that I'm trying to point out, is that IMO, the evidence is stronger that it's an official tease by KI PR than just a prank by someone else. I'll just leave it at that.
  25. Based on the evidence of it being shoveled more than once after Winterfest closed, appearing the next day after the Twitter post, and being in an area not accessible to guests, I would say the evidence points to KI PR. That is me saying it is very possible that KI PR did this, but not certainly, as I don't have 100% proof that it was (for those of us that confuse easily).
