  1. How big did Banshee's get? Wasn't it 600+?
  2. Somebody mentioned Wendigo. I think that would be a great name.
  3. I think Splintercat was only thought up because one of KI's first teasers was of a cat looking up moving it's head, but there was also one of a dog doing the same thing, so I think the cat theme has very little relevance. Don is just messing with us in regards to his personal post on Twitter.
  4. Anyone want to guess on the cost? I'm guessing between 11-13 million.
  5. I doubt it will be a launched coaster as well. I hope they get the bugs worked out for LR though. I would love to see something like that at KI in the future. That ride looks amazingly intense!
  6. I also believe the cleared out area (where the old funnel cake building used to be) directly behind the "teaser" wall will only be a large queue area with some theming. There will most likely be a bridge from the queue area that crosses over the train tracks leading into the coaster station on the other side.
  7. I think this is the curved drop. you can kind of see the shape formed by the markers. The lift hill will climb towards DB then curve while dropping around 180 degrees. Then the track will roughly turn another 90 degrees and proceed to go back under or over the lift hill, toward the lake.
  8. I really believe that RMC reference, "Yo Adrian!' snapchat was to throw us off. KI has been known to do it. They like to keep us guessing. I am hoping for an RMC, but I think this is GCI all the way. I will be very surprised if it is a RMC.
  9. I think this will be a Prowler-esque GCI with a unique element or two that sets it apart from other GCI's. I base this on all of the decoding everyone on this site has done. I also think there is a consensus here based on the height, speed and length of this ride based on the layout and other prints that go with it. The real mystery, however, is what those unique elements are going to be: Inversions, tunnels, etc.? Then again, there may be nothing unique about this GCI....but it just seems they are building this up pretty much for only adding an average coaster. Having said that, I did hear Prowler is a great ride. I guess the stats on it are all average, but stats aren't always everything in a coaster.
  10. I can't see the 198 either.
  11. Somebody did build a hyper wooden coaster....and the outcome was not good.
  12. With a drop of only 105', I doubt it will be capable of reaching a speed of 65mph. Unless, of course, it drops down in a ravine similar to Banshee to pick up more speed midway through the ride.
  13. I did mention in my post that I think this GCI will have a unique element or two. Maybe a couple of inversions. A first for GCI? I don't know if they have done that yet.
  14. I think this ride will be a GCI similar to Prowler with a unique twist or so to it. I expect it to be around 100-110 ft. in height., and 3200-3500 in length. The layout points to a GCI in multiple ways: One being the maintenance structure that the train goes through before entering the station. This structure is on the prints and most GCI's have it. Secondly, the bolt holes in the metal that secures the structure to the foundations are triangular in shape, similar to GCI's. I'm still hoping for an RMC though!
  15. Has GCI designed a wooden coaster that has an inversion(s) yet?
  16. I'm glad you think so. I also would love an RMC, but all evidence that i've seen thus far points to a GCI. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be good.
  17. Still think it's an RMC Gavpenn?
  18. Fair enough. Fury just seems to have a lot that you described liking in coaster: Negative G's and strong laterals...
  19. I go to Carowinds a lot. Intimidator is good but not as forceful as Diamondback. I love Fury 325. Fury is #2 steel coaster in my list. MF is #17. One of the biggest issue at Carowinds is the service there. I actually find them somewhat poor unlike KI or CP. I actually complained to CF last year due to some of the employees being rude. Fury 325 is only the second Giga i've ridden. So, i only have Millennium to compare it to. I do think Fury is awesome though. I just love how Millennium seems to not let up from start to finish. Fury does let up a little at the helix. Overall, it's a great ride though.
  20. On another side note I'd thought I'd share; I recently went to Carowinds for the first time on 4th of July weekend and rode almost everything including Fury 325 and Intimidator. I really enjoyed Fury, but I think I like Millennium Force better. I'm still kind of torn though. I also thought Afterburn was a really good inverted coaster. It seemed like it had a lot of G's to it and had surprising elements. Of course , I don't it is as good as Banshee. Intimidator was good too, but there was nothing unique about it. Intimidator's line was surprisingly much bigger than Fury's as well. Overall, it's a great park, but I don't think it's nearly as good as KI. Maybe I'm being biased.
  21. Now that we've briefly digressed to discussing flat rides, I would love to see KI get a HUSS Sledgehammer, but I heard there were some issues with the ride initially. Does Cedar Fair still do business with HUSS? And if so, do you guys think KI would ever get one?
  22. I think the current construction with the I-beams has something to do with the train either having to be rerouted because of the new coaster, and/or is part of the train ride renovation that some people think it will receive because of the new ride.
  23. I'm surprised I was the first to notice it and post it yesterday. I guess it must have been just recently delivered.
  24. My Daddy would have told me:"For little boys to ask questions about. Worked, too!" Used to frustrate the Dickens out of me! Oh, to hear that again! Huh!? Sorry, can't interpret terp's drunk texting.
