Really?! I guess KI's Twitter post of Mystic's webcam snapshot pic (all while mentioning snow in the post) just the day before the message appeared was just complete coincidence.

Kings Island was the 2nd highest in amusement park attendance in the U.S. for 2016 behind Cedar Point and continues to be top 5 year in and year out. So, the question is not if it receives a giga, but when. This latest giga tease is probably from KI PR, but for all we know, it could be a tease for 2022 instead of 2019. Bottom line is simply this, if we do not see any kind of construction or clearing on or shortly after opening day, this tease is probably not for 2019.

Don or someone from KI posted a Twitter snapshot of the Mystic Timber webcam on Dec.29th , only a day before the mysterious "Giga" appeared in the snow. Of course he/they mentioned the train, but I looked back on all of KI's posts on Twitter for months, and no other similar pic was posted. So, it's not like it was just coincidence, or was it? Oh, and by the way, the post does mention snow. Hmmmm......

I know, saw it. That would put it at almost twice the cost of Prowler and they are both very similar rides in terms of scale with exception of theming and a little extra cost for terrain. Numbers don't add up IMO.

Ha! I knew someone was going to say that. Yes, that probably drove cost up a little bit, but not 4 million. Also, consider Cedar Fair most likely has a some sort of "package deal" or contract with GCI that stipulates lower cost per project based on number of projects given to them the last ten years or so (Hint: WindSeeker). It happens frequently in business, especially in construction.

What makes you think it was 14 million? I never heard KI make an official announcement regarding cost of the project. Prowler was only 8 million and is just slightly smaller. Account for 9 years inflation which would be roughly 400K and an extra million or so for The Shed plus additional theming, and we're still not to 10 million in cost.

I'd say it's 50/50. It could be a bored associate, but it could also be an official giga tease . Ever since Diamondback, they have spent a lot of time on teasing the GP and loving every second of it.

I think off year. If there was going to be a flat ride package, odds are, they would have announced it by now to boost season pass sales.

Kings Island's elevation change drops from 747 to 683 (64') if you start at DA entrance and stop at the access road just behind the farthest point of DA, which is about where a giga could change direction to head over towards Firehawk. Magic Mountain's elevation change from the top of the hill near Superman drops about 1182 to 1080 (102') if you go down towards Twisted Colossus. SFMM's hill has about 5 or 6 coasters on it. My point is, with the right design, engineering and technology make just about anything doable.

Yes, light post footers are the first thing to be installed in the construction process because project managers love it when there are a bunch of concrete obstructions all over the area they are trying to excavate. It really speeds things up!

The Smokehouse is going to be a very good addition. Besides, why would KI just pour new footers in Tower Gardens for Winterfest, just to tear them out weeks later to put in antique cars? Hmmmm......

I'm not the type to say something is accurate, and then it turns out to be inaccurate. I don't troll. Don't believe in it. Informed everyone Banshee had a trim, no one believed, it turned out to be true. I was pretty close to my prediction on Mystic Timbers too.......go back and take a looksy.
