Worlds of Fun 2017: Falcon's Flight (HUSS), Mustang Runner (HUSS Troika). Carowinds County Fair 2017: HUSS Troika Dorney Park 2017: Huss Troika

Yeah, I figured that's what you meant. I listed all of those places because they are spread out throughout the park, with the exception of not knowing where the Giga and next flat ride will go, although, I think the next flat ride will go somewhere in Coney or Action Zone, and the Giga will go in X-Base or Action Zone. This will leave a good 2-3 years of building new attractions at different points of the park before coming back to Rivertown for the Triotech dark ride in old the Crypt building. Of course, this is all conjecture and possible for none of it to happen, but I think there is a good chance.

Well, I'm hoping for a Huss Jump. I heard Cedar Fair had recently started working with Huss again. I figured a Giga for 2022 for the 50 year anniversary.
-
Yeah, within the next 5 yr cycle, at least. 2018: Huss Flat Ride 2019:Planet Snoopy 2020:Flat Ride #2: Dark Ride in Crypt Blding. 2021:Soak City 2022:Giggity Giga

I don't think that will be very long from now. Probably a dark ride in the Crypt building within the next couple of years.

What would also complete Rivertown would be to bring back The Beast watermill. That would be amazing!
-
I totally agree. DT should be a 5+.
-
Adventure Express is a 5 in the same category (Thrill Rides). That's disturbing to me.

Does anyone remember if they shut off the web cams when Banshee was testing?
-
I'm guessing this weekend or early next week at the latest.
-
New attraction hint, maybe?

Is drummermattk's photo still on Instagram? I looked for it, but couldn't find it.

If #WhatsInTheShed was a drop track, we would see entirely different supports than what they have put up so far. All I can see is traditional wooden supports. I think the support structure would be steel if it were a drop track.
-
It seems like it is taking them a long time to complete the turnaround.
-
yeah, i think so.There are footings there, which makes it safe to assume it will not have a drop track. I think if it were a drop track, it would have a large rectangular concrete foundation or something similar.
-
Magenta Lizard: Are there footings where "The Shed" is going to be, or is it a large rectangular concrete foundation of some kind?

GCI did it first! And if I know GCI like I think I do, this entire sequence that's built should have some interesting little forces in combination with the obvious forces. I expect a small pop of air as the bottom banked track unbanks before it goes up the 2nd hill, which should have some impressive air as it crests. I can't wait to see how the shaping really turns out. I maintain that the video doesn't quite show how the track will actually be shaped. Some of it looked a bit too drawn out for a GCI. I expect complete insanity from the 2nd drop until the brakes. if you look closely, the bottom bank (after the first drop) looks like it has a tiny airtime hill before it climbs into the second big hill.

I really don't think the POV for MT does it justice. I have a feeling this ride will be awesome.

I agree with you that the media brainwashes people into thinking that CP is better, but most of my friends think KI is better. With the exception of the beauty of Lake Erie, my friend circle seems to think CP is just bunch of steel coasters packed into wherever they can fit them, splattered with seagull poop all over them and the rest of the place. KI has much more charm and is far more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. I also think coasters like Banshee,The Beast and DB are better than CP's comparable coasters. Don't get me wrong, I love CP. It's a great park and I'm not trying to get into a who's better discussion, but I just think when people keep hearing things like "biggest, fastest, most", etc from the media, they tend to forget all of the good things other parks like KI have to offer.

They will build a lot of bents first, before the crane arrives to save money. By having the bents already built, the crane can be productive right when it arrives on site, as opposed to sitting around and NOT being productive while they build the bents. Renting a crane isn't cheap.

Awesome pics guys. thanks!
-
it appears that way. i think they'll build a walkway over the tracks.
-
Well, that seems like it would go well with the "Nature is taking over!" theme.

It's either going to be a renovation to the train, or something to do with the old Action Theater. -
