Kings Island hires executive chef
They could have just brought in these gourmet food carts that are all the rave nowadays and took a commission. I think that would be beneficial for these independent vendors and the park. Maybe not though. Crap.

Banshee Construction Progress
In our lifetimes...we have rode some brilliant craftsmanship of mankind. Its truly something if you think about. And I can't wait to queue this one. Oh boy. I can't wait. I love coasters man. Maverick is my all time favorite (I haven't rode skyrush).,..but raptor use to be. Perhaps this one?

I want to ride it now... Albeit...with a parachute. Or even a fire brigade below with a net. I'll do it.

Disneyland Paris Pirates Mishap.
I remember as a kid having to go back and touch a certain object in my room 80 times if the thought popped in my head. It happened regularly too. I changed the objects every time it happened. Out the screened door. Back to my room. Touch object. Through the house. Screen door. Back to my room to to touch whatever object. Always 80 freak in' times... Nowadays my OCD only makes me make objects completely perpendicular from one another.

I agree with you Voicetek. I was put on a leash a few times as a kid and hold no resentment towards my parents for what they felt was protection of me. I mean...I'm still here. I wish more kids were on a leash nowadays when I am out at the parks. I don't want your kids touching me with their Banshee ice cream smeared hands while I'll in line for Dodgem.

Disneyland Paris Pirates Mishap.
I don't know so much as it was I 'didn't know' better at age 3 and 4... I think it most likely was the fact of my brain rationalizing 'Alright, I'm walking with these dull people, still walking with these dull people. The one who feeds me is now going to the bathroom. Great. Standing here with the one who is gone all day... HEY..SCOOBY DOO AND FRED FLINSTONE!'

I think that most people look at harnesses on children as 'cruel'. My parents used to put me on a harness at packed amusement parks in the 70's...just so that I wouldn't zip off, as they said I could run out of their sites within seconds. Its the only place I can remember them putting me in one. Every person I have ever met has laughed at this...I just thought it was smart of them as I got older. But I think there is a stigma with those harnesses.

I think KI hired the same team that did this bank overseas: Edit: The picture lost the link after a few minutes. Pointless post is pointless now.

Man does those low spots seem insanely low man. You can touch the track from the ground. That is crazy. Looks incredible.

What was your Last ride?
I unfortunately didn't make it to KI this year...almost pulled the trigger on the Banshee unveiling though. My last ride however was the CC Mine Ride. I'll be on Banshee come the first Tuesday of next season...

12,000 Rides for Don Helbig on the Racer
I'm just poking fun... Its a glorious milestone. I don't even know if I have been in my car 12000 times just to get to the grocer if you really think about it.

12,000 Rides for Don Helbig on the Racer
I still think he may have forgotten a ride or two...say back in 79 with a trip too many to octoberfest's bier garden perchance?

12,000 Rides for Don Helbig on the Racer
I don't want to dampen the parade...but do you think its possible he might have forgotten a ride or three, or simply skipped a few notches, say somewhere around 6347 and suddenly jumped to 6353 unbeknownst? I hold the position that he has only ridden 11197 times or 12003 times. Still...incredible either way.

Remnants of past attractions
I miss disaster transport. I hated avalanche run...even as a child, but what they transpired it into was something I always loved. Too bad it couldn't have been back of the park instead of blocking the beach. I will miss that fun little ride. But I am the biggest dark ride guy you will ever hear from. I go to fairs strickly to check out their fun houses and dark rides...

Cedar Point 10/18-10/20
Me and the girlfreind took a similar trip of Friday/ Saturday two weeks ago with about the same results as you. Friday is definitely the day to go during Halloweekends. You can marathon just about everything but Millenium Force and Maverick in a two or three cycle wait time. Its almost unbelievable. But Saturday you might as well just punch yourself in the junk as its more enjoyable than the park. We had torrential rains on Saturday and the place was still a cluster. Just walk around and enjoy the park today. The haunts should only be an hour wait or so and Gemini and the Mine Ride should only be a 20 minute wait... Everything else...bring your tent. I think in coming years we will make a weekend of it, but just go out to the islands or something on Saturday. One plus note if you are stranded at the Breakers because of rain, there is a liquor store pretty close by in Sandusky. The hotel will be unbearable and smells like wet dog during the storms.

Banshee Construction Progress
I am won? Seriously, I just figured a 32 passenger train at an average of 200 lbs a person and added a little weight for support. I don't even know how many passengers Banshee holds right now. Am looking up the train video once I get to work. I am currently figuring out how many jellybeans that piece of track holds...
