  1. There was an article that features updates that had a witness say that after the initial train had valleyed, the train full of people did stop on the lift. That sounds like the ride systems were working properly. That could only mean that either a maintence personnel did a manual advance of the train via maint. Mode without looking out on the track and assuming it was just a fault that needed to be reset or that a ride operator failed to call maintence and took it into their own hands and manually operated themselves. Assuming that the witness report is true
  2. Not done Kings Island but have done our favorite theme park in Kentucky. There is only one way that would allow 2 trains on one block assuming all systems are operating normally. The ride would have to be in maintenance mode and be under full manual operation.
  3. Well at least they did a good job remodeling that station. You all would not believe what that looked like last year. Cobwebs and bird droppings. EVERYWHERE. Complete with moth ball scented walls with dark black paint and faded line markers
  4. I have heard that Raging Rapids River Ride is now up and open for business as of today.
  5. It doesn't mean they can't find some small detail that would allow them to deny certification such as a missing label or something of that nature that they would normally overlook.
  6. If I were the states ride inspector I would now take my sweet time setting up an inspection date. I'm sure T3 still needs to be certified and now that they have likely made a new friend I'm sure they will "fail to show" again.
  7. Something else to note about the inspections. Somewhere near the control panel there should be a bright green "Ready to Operate" tag that is signed and dated by maintenance and the operator. There is a clear paper holder hanging and these tags should be visible if you know what they are. Those should prove whether or not that ride has recieved proper inspections for the day
  8. Probably didn't deliver the image the park was going for as family friendly. At least if it's a looper they can try to make it slightly more enticing than being in a minor car accident.
  9. I don't know if something has changed regarding inspections or if this was in addition to the daily ones. Both maintenance personnel and ride operators must go through an opening checklists before allowing guest on the ride each day. Maintenance did in fact, at least last year, walk the tracks and do checks every day before opening. Maybe the weekly checks is something in addition to those checks. At least I hope.
  10. I've ridden twice this season. The first of which it was pitch black and the second time the floodlights were on. Something I miss is the music! I think it is still playing but at a much lower volume. I miss hanging on that mcbr and the music blaring!
  11. Not my experience at all this past Saturday. Diamondback was the single most agonizing wait out of anything else in the park. Truly lived up to its nickname of Diamondstack. That crew was lucky if they didn't have the third train sitting just after the splashdown for a good 30 seconds before dispatching from the station. Even Flight of Fear was moving quickly compared to Db. Hopefully they work on their efficiency at least on that ride.
  12. Here is another quick question. In all my years of going I have never had the need to use Guest Services as the park has always satisfied. Where exactly is it located? (Lol?) I'm assuming somewhere near the entrance but second guess is the same building as season pass processing.

  14. No. It is supposed to open "mid May" along with the other new attractions excluding Up Up and Away, Skycatcher (opened yesterday) and Enterprise.
  15. Hi folks! I have a quick question that could probably be resolved quickly with a call to guest services but wanted to see if this has happened to anyone on here. I have a gold pass that I have had since maybe 2008 and at this point part of the pass has broken off. While it's only the part with my signature on it and the barcode is in good condition I was wondering if they would replace it or if I would need to pay the $15 replacement fee that goes into effect for lost passes? Thanks!
  16. Being a former Kingdomerr. The social media last year was ran by someone as young as I at 19 years old. Every action he took and everything he posted had to be "approved" before he took any action even if it was something simple.
  17. Relating to T3, at least part of its train arrived last year and could be seen sitting on the transfer track from the top of Deluge. It was removed shortly after being placed there (maybe a weeks span).
  18. It was mentioned in the fine print that the KK season pass was not valid for parking during the Kentucky State Fair. I can see this angering people who just looked and saw "free parking" but didn't read the details.
  19. Believe it or not, we had stuff that took it off. We used it maybe once a month and even with the repeated warnings/removal from park, people still thought that was "cool" for whatever reason.
  20. Don't know if anyone has looked at their Facebook, one of the previously unannounced attractions was revealed. Get ready for the thrill of a lifetime on a Zamperla Samba Tower!
  21. Sorry for the lack of judgement I showed in the previous few post on this thread. I was at that time in a down slope of life and let things that had nothing to do with the situation take blame. I have gone back and edited the post. I feel that I have purged all the negative things out of my life and feel much better now. I don't know what I was thinking. All I can say is that it is good to be back!
