  1. The theming on this is beautiful! I love the underground aspect
  2. I remember back in like 93 or so... whatever year Top Gun opened, that was my first time ever to go. Well I got to see the merf-mobile.. you know from waynes world? They had it on display there. That was awesome!
  3. Went there last Wednesday and had the Fast Lane. Although, the lines were super short in most cases, the Fast Lane really paid of for Diamondback, Firehawk and FOF. The Beast lines were pretty quick but yea.
  4. Rode this last week in the back seat and had no issues. It was pretty close to how it's always been for me. However, I almost always ride back seat. Diamondback has a pretty thrilling front seat right though.. especially if you let your legs fly up
  5. You know the more I think about the camping mix with the evil presence, I feel like the theming will have something to do with a closed campground. So, many different creatures or bad things could be involved in that kind of environment. The decor could be pretty cool and since it would be rough looking, wouldn't require serious upkeep. I dunno, maybe I'm way off.. but it seems like that would be pretty cool.
  6. It had actually been a few years since i got to go... I know in 2008 the sucker was super painful (which i kind of prefer). The very back seat is my favorite bc of the speed and brute force you get to experience, especially on the helix.. love being pulled down that hill. I kept riding and daring it to hurt me in the least bit but it wouldn't. Adventure Express was double the roughness of The Beast.
  7. Rode all three seats in the back car
  8. I used these last week and they were awesome. Didn't wait any more than 5 minutes for anything
  9. Sports and evil don't seem to mix.....
  10. When I road The Beast the other day, it seemed way smoother. I rode it 6 times the other day and had none of the feelings of being battered like I used to (missed it). Anybody have any idea what they did to smooth things out?
  11. Sasquatch or big foot works with the no camping thing as well
  12. Also gotta say it'd be awesome if they paid rights to new line to use Friday the 13th... No camping
  13. With the "evil" theming, I was wondering how far you think they'll take it. You think it will be more adult?
  14. This tells me we may be looking at a section expansion as well as a massive ride
  15. Kings Island currently has a roller coaster incorporating water. It is located in Rivertown. I know that... Diamondback is pretty cool. But I mean more of a water themed creature name with the possibility of getting wet while riding. No offense but we already have 3 great water rides, (4 in you count splash dance). We don't need a coaster where you actually get wet. You have to remember, we live in Ohio.... I don't think Splash Dance can be considered a ride... or great, actually. No offense taken. When I say water incorporated I mean like a light mist in what would maybe be an indoor section of he coaster. I still think a verbolten style thing would be cool. But also have you eve seen Poseidon's fury at islands of adventure? The water tunnel would be awesome to go through in a coaster. Plus I don't mean getting drenched like in the "water rides". If you were to think of a drake, it is a water dragon...if the ride started in a building you could have the underwater type theming and then fly out with a launch and have the open air. Just saying it would be cool and its no more off base than everyone else's wishes here.

  17. The words... "You want me on that wall, you need me on that wall" ... I know that's a movie quote but it could also be something like a gargoyle
  18. A roller coaster incorporating water would be cool... Like spray and a water tunnel. Something like Poseidon or a serpent!
  19. I got stuck on Adventure Express once. It was honestly kind of a retreat from the heat because we got stuck on the lift hill with the animatronic fist-pumping dudes. So we took advantage and sat and relaxed for like 10 minutes. It certainly wasn't a news story.
  20. A launch in the middle of a double helix... Give us those killer g's!! lol but serious... What about a good hyper or giga that goes through a lot of tunnels? Those tunnel could have a lot of creepy lighting and sound to provide the "evil" element and eliminate he need for a building.
  21. The is amazing!
  22. Good luck to you and your family tomorrow! I hope you get to ride everything you want
  23. Just sayin... riding in the rain can be pretty fun
  24. I've been following this thread for some time and have been going to Kings Island since I was a little guy. Matter of fact, Top Gun opened the summer I went. I miss the theming of the rides a lot and that brings me to my hopes for this current project. I'm really hoping we see a combination, dark ride/coaster. Kings Island is really lacking a quality dark ride (FOF is a great coaster but theming lacks) that it could be known for. I also think mulitple launch zones would be fun. Verbolten from Busch Gardens seems cool (I haven't been on it) but seems to be too short. A nice long indoor section with lots of cool projections and even animatronics would be good, possibly giving the ride the ability to have more trains than usual. The Incredible Hulk at Islands of Adventure is one of the best coasters I've been on and I think most of that is because of what you see after you're launched out of the tunnel. The view is simply spectacular and while it doesn't add a dark ride feature like I'm suggesting, the experience is a good composite/mix of things - tunnel/theatrics, launch, water, view. With a lot of the big giga coasters, you seem to get a lot less theming in exchange for some very generic looking aluminum tunnels to go through. Dark ride elements, trees and environment, multiple ride stages - these are all things that could really give this ride that feeling of "evil" they're promoting with the signs. Again, this is my first post but I have been reading a lot. I will honestly enjoy whatever happens but am hoping for something simply incredible and new to the thrill world.
