  1. Why couldn't an inverted coaster be a hyper? Lets think outside the box. That's what we're all here doing. An inverted coaster could be a hyper if it had no inversions. A "hyper" is a coaster without inversions with a height between 200 and 299 feet. Period. Better explanation. Since I think it's an invert and since I think it should break a record of height of at least 200 feet I will call it what Ride On_17 called it, an "Inverted hyper." By the way, when am I not a "KIC Tourist?" 100 posts?
  2. Sounds awesome to me.

  4. I started out wanting an intamin giga, then B&M giga. Now I want a hyper invert with at least 7 invertions. http://www.coasterforce.com/coasters/coaster-types/steel-coasters/hyper-coaster Hypers, by definition, do not have inversions. Ok..so it's impossible to do? It couldn't be a first?
  5. Fly Like an Eagle by the Steve Miller Band Yes, yes..."FLY"
  6. Al Pacino played in a movie named Scarecrow in 1973. http://twitpic.com/d2zaz1 But what do we think about this? https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/354950565568061440
  7. Wow that's really something. I'm thinking about the missing tweet/quote...let you know.

  9. Number of inversion?I was there I counted the owls! Could the number of owls correspond to the number of inversions our invert will have?
  10. Number of inversion?
  11. I've already made it known that I'm now on the invert side, but thought I'd just throwing this out there. Intimidator at Carowinds has the same triangular supports we see in our construction.
  12. My bet is a hyper. I'm not sure what the tallest invert is and I can't find it now, but I'm thinking it's along the lines of 170 feet. I'm probably wrong. I think Wicked Twister is but its not a full circuit. The tall full circuit I think is Alpengeist. I thought 170 feet was the tallest (full circuit). So, I'm guessing hyper for this (if inverted).
  13. Those vent grates look as if they're for rainwater drainage system. So, could we possibly be looking at the queue with the drainage system?

  15. I still think it's too early. Look for the announcement in late August, like Gatekeeper, and most other announcements. Gatekeeper was announced Aug. 13, 2012. last time i checked, the 13th is mid August. How long before that did the hints on the website, etc start?
  16. I drive right by it on my way to KI and didn't know.
  17. Where in Batavia is B&M?
  18. No, I wouldn't call it dumb. Actually, the first time I ever saw that commercial I wondered why they were showing a full-circuit invert when KI doesn't have one. Yet. Exactly my point. This could be the ultimate discovery...just sayin (kidding).
  19. Wouldn't it be awesome if this was the first clue to the new ride... It's a B&M invert, there's new Halloween attractions.....it all sort of ties together I know, I know, dumb, right?
  20. I was biased, too. Now, I've opened my mind and I'm seeing something totally different.
  21. I want a giga, and want a giga bad. But I have been looking for something to prove our new coaster will be an invert and here's what I found. This is Alpengeist's drop at BGW: Notice the large square support? It's consistent with the square supports we see at KI's construction site. Here is Alpengeist's brake run. Again, consistency with our construction site: Although I haven't been able to find any triangular supports on any B&M invert, yet (and they are aged), everything else seems to point toward a B&M invert.

    Tweetups

Every time, and I mean every time I go to CP Tony does not do the tweetups. I'm hoping to see Don do them when I go to KI.
  23. In your opinion, what does KI need?
  24. My wife does NOT like coasters, or flats for that matter, and my 9 year olds aren't really into riding like I am, so I've gone alone a lot. I usually stay at Diamondback most of the time. I went the second weekend KI was open this season and rode all coasters and Drop Tower in 2.5 hours and then left when I got bored. I was forced to ride Invertigo with another rider who was at the park alone as well and was tempted to ask if he wanted to join me on some other coasters but didn't. Going alone is boring for me only when waiting in line, really. I have a blast on the rides whether I know the person next to me or not, although having a friend next to you is better.
  25. Stupid question, but... are the announcements the ride ops recite found online somewhere?
