  1. Some people may not be as "experienced" as some at investigating the construction of coasters. I for one have never found interest in what the early stages could reveal to us, until now. That's why I'm here. I'm a coaster rider and I didn't used to pay attention to the mechanics of the ride. So if I sound like I can't let it go, or I appear to be ignoring evidence you know why, now.
  2. I personally love Halloweekends at Kings Island. I'm planning to go to CP's in September to try it out. KI seems to just have a more fall feeling than CP. Anyway, I suggest Fast Lane for the rides if at all possible, but not for the haunted attractions. They move pretty fast. Good idea to go to CP in September. It is my favorite time of year to go, Labor Day is the best. But do not ever plan a trip to CP on a Saturday in October, such a waste of a day. Halloweekends the past few years did not impress me that much. So, in your opinion, KI's is better than CP? I was sort thinking it would be that way. What about KD's? Ever been to it?
  3. I love New Orleans, I hope the bayou theme has an Angel Heart/ Voodoo vibe. Plus, above ground crypts would be a lot more convincing than mere boxes every eight feet. dwitb, I disagree about Slaughterhouse. I thought it was up to par, as always. My only trouble with Slaughterhouse is that I started with five members to my party, and by the time we got to the door, there was only one other brave soul left besides me. The cowards. I love it when people back out. The year before last they had that creepy woman walking around outside talking all crazy like to people. She even looked at my wife and told her she loved her brown hair and green eyes and that her eyes would taste so good. I just didn't like it as much last year. Can't wait for this year's though.
  4. All parks over-price their food, but hey, you have to eat, right?
  5. Ok. I found something interesting...for those of you like me who want a B&M giga. I haven't seen this anyway in the topics, so I hope I'm onto something. I found this on coasterfusion.com. At the base of Leviathan's drop you'll see a large square support which may be consistent with the large squares at KI construction site.
  6. Did anyone else notice that Slaughter House was nowhere near as good this year as last?
  7. I think running a coaster between the parking lot and Congo Falls and Invertigo would be interesting. They could even do what CW and CP did and put it over the entrance.
  8. ^It's not bad.
  9. Was Mysteria by Firehawk and Massacre Manor beside the Scrambler?
  10. That's how I am with Vortex. It's my first coaster (6-8yo). My dad dragged me on it. I lost him 8 years ago. I'd be devastated if Vortex was destroyed. It's because of him that I love riding.
  11. Good theory.
  12. As much as I love Flight Deck I would rather, in a few years, see something else in it's place.
  13. Delta Delta Die is probably a sorority thing
  14. Massacre Manor, Mysteria and Cut Throat Cove have been retired: https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/360910634898042880 New attractions include Board to Death, Delta Delta Die & Backwoods Bayou: https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/360920128923246592
  15. I thought it was deleted. Then yesterday I got a notification that someone liked a post of mine, then I thought I was blocked from it. I've been told the topic " has been taken backstage and is hidden for everyone as it is cleaned up."
  16. I don't really like Drop Tower. Besides Wind Seeker it's the only ride I don't like to ride, but once I do I feel very accomplished.
  17. Yes, this is very true.

  19. I, as a newbie, enjoy logging in to see what others' speculations are about the new attraction. And I hope that I can possibly make a few friends while I'm here
  20. Whether a teaser, a red herring, or actually talking about some guest, he just described a Banshee. OMG you're right!
  21. They already are taking it that way.

  23. Indeed it was.
  24. I agree with the above. I think The Beast is well capable of carriering on his own legacy. Now, to answer your topic question. I would love to see, and it's going to sound stupid, a coaster mix similar to Top Thrill and Millennium Force.... A launch, a 400+ foot climb straight up, straight down, and some ride elements. And I want to see this at Kings Island.
  25. Between the two building under SOB station?
