Kings Island 2015 Discussion Thread

I think I've mentioned that before on a different topic, and they should play that when you are waiting in line, or better yet, it should be played when you are on the ride. -

You Know It's the Off Season When...
kingsislandfan1972 replied to Ride On_17's topic in Kings Island
When I was younger I got a huge thrill when Woodstock Express was The Beastie. I also remember that I used to close my eyes in the tunnel after the first drop, man those were the days. -
The most memorable Topic on here to me will always be about The Bat returning to Kings Island.

Joyland's Missing Clown Found

When I was little, Tim Curry made clowns a living nightmare for me. (A.k.a. IT!) But now its one of my favorite classic horror movies. -

I hope tht in the future, The Racer will go backwards once again, or at least for one year.

Who else agrees that when Shake, Rattle, and Roll returns, that the song Shake, Rattle, and Roll by Joe Turner should be played?

I agree. With what they have been doing at the other parks I think a 2016 Soak City expansion is the ost likely, and one fo teh most needed, things at the park. It defitnely seems too soon after Banshee for a major investment like a Trioech coaster/dark ride. I could potentially see that getting built for 2017 and think either the oldy Crypt building or the Action Theater are the most likely spots as they are large buildings ready to go. Action Theater would be good for a flat dark ride and Crypt for one like Wonder Mountain's Guardian. I don't see what the butcher would hae against that spot though as it does not interfere with any butcher shops in the area. Think 2019 would be a better year for a new wooden coaser if they did one though as this would be both the 40th Anniversary of The Beast and the 10th Anniversary fo SoB's closing. Perfect time to revive Son of Beast in some fashion. Maybe a custom RMC type hybrid coaster for it's rebirth. Also I agree with upstop that a extaTERRORestrial Alein Encounter type attraction would be perfect in X-Base. Add that, an extreme flat ride like a Sledgehammer or Screamin' Swing, bathrooms and a food stand woudl round out that section nicely and make it a great full area unto itself. I would like to see another alien type attraction in X-Base, a attraction like ExtraTerrorestrial Alien Encounter would work out perfectly at Kings Island. For Dinosaurs Alive I would like to see in the future, a Dinosaur themed ride, to go along in that area, is Action Theater still open? Also bigger bathroom expansions would be nice, preferably on International Street.

My favorite part of Soak City is the big wave pool, im not a real big fan of slides, but I am a fan of the Lazy River, because when Im in the Lazy River, I do what im best at, being lazy!
-
That is an excellent idea, because if that happend then I would definitly apply at Kings Island, ever since I was little I have wished to work there. This should definitly happen.

A memory of Kings Island a few years ago, a man was using his phone on the bridge on Congo Falls, I guess he didnt know that he could get wet while on the bridge, but it happend, and his phone got ruined and he was cursing up a storm. I never really noticed, but is there a warning sign about getting wet on the bridge? The best warning sign at Kings Island is definitly http://northeastohiofamilyfun.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/White-Water-Canyon-Kings-Island.jpg I like Congo Falls, but im more of a White Water Canyon kind of guy.

Amusement Park Time Machine
kingsislandfan1972 replied to kingsislandfan1972's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
1. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (MK WDW. Curse you Pooh!) 2. ExtraTerrorestrial )MK WDW-but only in its original, far more intense incarnation, before Eisner ordered it toned down bc the kiddos were leaving the ride in tears) 3. Funtastic World of HB (Universal Orlando; briefly KI; zippy, trippy fun!) 4. Jaws (Universal Orlando-in its halcyon days before it fell into disrepair) 5. Snow White's Scary Adventures (MK WDW-i'm excited to ride the new mine train in a couple months, but this was a rare Fantasyland ride which clearly warned young ones that it was intense..and it was! the evil Queen popping up in unexpected places!) Honorable Mention- Body Wars (Epcot). One of the first great motion simulator rides. Re-imagine the Wonders of Life! (even if its to something like Big Hero 6. Let's face it-Epcot has slowly given up the ghost of Walt's original intent over the years, so why not just continue the trend? A good D or E ticket ride in there would be great!) Honorable Mention 2-Horizons (Epcot) mmmmmm oranges! When my family and I went to DisneyWorld, when we went and rode Stiches Great Escape, kids were crying on that too, its a ride based ona cartoon, but I can see why kids were scared on it when we rode. I watched videos of ExtraTerrorestrial and I can really understand why kids cried on the ride, I would love to go back in time to ride it, great technology! -
I want to go to Halloween at Knotts Scary Farm, it looks totally insane.

Week XV: Best Character/Theme Era at Kings Island
kingsislandfan1972 replied to BB1's topic in KI Polls
I miss the Paramount days at Kings Island, it was just great time filled movie based rides and attractions. The current Cedar Fair days are pretty intense, with new rollercoasters, great food selections, and one wicked water park. These days may be good, but i'm excited what the future Kings Island has in store for us. I've been a Kings Island fan since birth. -

If you could go back in time to any amusement parks and pick 5 former rides or attractions what would you pick? Please include both ride and park 1. Nickelodeon Studios (Universal Studios Orlando) 2. King Cobra ( Kings Island) (I was too little to ride it, but it looked intense!) 3. Sounds Dangerous! Starring Drew Carrey (Epcot, DisneyWorld) 4. Phantom Theater (Kings Island) 5. Scooby Doo and the Spooky Swamp ( Six Flags, St. Louis) (My family was planning a there last year but we ended up going to The Mall of America, if I would of known it was the last year of operation for the ride, then I would of convinced my parents to go there instead.)

Week VIII: Best Pre-Paramount Era Kings Island Addition
kingsislandfan1972 replied to BB1's topic in KI Polls
White Water Canyon, my favorite water ride, it beats every water ride in Soak City. -
I dont see The Racer going anywhere anytime soon, but if it was removed, I wonder what the Brady Bunch would say.....
-
That may be true, but if that did happen, then it would be very cool, and make Kings Island more uniqe.
-
How about another classic wooden coaster, Kings Island hasnt got a new one in a while.
