Anyone remember the old KI commercial? It featured the song Happy Days Are Here Again. On opening day, I sing, "Happy days are here again. Kings Island's into gear again...."

There were quite a few there today...after 3 pm or so.

Are there tee shirts for KI Central members to purchase?

I like to ride in the first seat of any car on a train...especially The Beast and The Racer. It seems to make a smoother ride.

I do wish there were some way I could pay more and have my drinks added to my meal plan. Although the souvenir cup works, I hate digging for that $1.06 every time I want a drink.

On a very hot day....yes. The ice would melt very quickly, and I would have to throw some of it out. Also, it was worth the extra money to not have to dig through my bag for $1.06 every time I stopped.

I could not get a drink band last year, but, at the Chicken Shack, they would "renew" the bar code on my cup. I think, tax and all, I paid $7.42 for all-day usage. Is that available this year?

I'm not sure I like the idea of rushing people through. It seems like that is a good set-up for a serious accident. Just run the ride normally. Not everyone will get the front seat, but that is the risk one takes if one gets in a long "front seat" line during the last 15 minutes.

What little glitches are you noticing? NOTHING SERIOUS. This is just a light-hearted topic. I always have fun at Kings Island, but these are some of the things I noticed on Friday/Saturday. 1. Ice Scream Zone....all of their Coke had been "mixed" incorrectly. It tasted like cleaning fluid. When I took my drink back, I was told that they weren't even supposed to be selling Coke at their location. 2. Flight of Fear....still can't catapult while Drop Tower is going up. While waiting in my seat, I had a worker squat down and actually tell me the full story. 3. Those poor young crew members at Skyline. They were running the cash registers and had no clue what they were doing. Since they were wearing yellow name badges, I presumed they were 14-15 years of age. I really felt sorry for them. 4. Diamond Back was running...then it wasn't...then it was...then in wasn't..... You get the picture. And the girl in the booth could not get her microphone to work properly. Another crew member stood at the door to the booth as the go-between for her and the ride crew. 5. The Chicken Shack didn't have the 2015 souvenir cups.

Gold pass holders could purchase one for $10.99. That is the 2015 lowest price. Just don't forget to tell them that you have a gold pass.

My first year was 1986.

Since the new season hasn't officially begun yet, will we be permitted to use the 2014 cups, or will we need to purchase new cups tonight? Does anyone know?

Last year, I was told one could use a money belt. You can't hold as much, but it will take care of the essentials. And who knows what the rules will be this year...

I, too, am hoping that Flight of Fear's problems are over. It seemed strange that, for so long, no one could ride in the back car of any ride.

I'm hoping to attend the park both Friday and Saturday. After a LONG winter, I'm ready for KI.

I am planning to attend Friday night. I'm really hoping the Chicken Shack will be open, too. I missed that Texas toast.

My first ride for the season was Banshee, and my last ride for the season was Drop Tower.

I know that Kings Island used to have a ferris wheel. It was by The Rotor. And they had The Bavarian Beetle that was like a "mouse trap" ride. I would like to see the Sky Ride return.

I know some (most?) people don't take a count, but what ride do you think/know you rode the most times this year? For me, the number 1 spot went to Drop Tower with a total of 32 drops. The second spot goes to Diamondback with a total of 31 rides.

I was hoping for a return of the Sky Ride.

All of the oldies on The Racer.

Now, I'm thinking about it.
