  1. Are these speculations?? How come it wasn't brought up in the trial?
  2. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,352375,00.html
  3. Why don't you check out this topic for an answer to your question: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12836
  4. The nice thing about The Beast is that it hides fading very well because of the stain used on the wood and because it's tucked back in the woods where most of the ride can't be seen so people won't notice fading as much. I think if CF wanted to start painting rides, they would start with the ones that can be seen by the guests more like FD, or Racer.
  5. I think Nick Lachey also worked at the park too.
  6. My favorite steel would have to be Invertigo, Firehawk is a close 2nd Wood - The Beast Flat - Drop Tower
  7. I'm a big fan of the back as well, I don't like cresting the lift and waiting for the back to catch up, I want the speed.
  8. I'll take the Land Rover from TRTR
  9. Wendy's usually does a promotion but I think that is usually later in the season. I believe that tickets can also be purchased at Kroger. Not sure if you get a discount though.
  10. I have seen many critters especially around AE. We used to have problems with deer down near the volcano tunnel and it always seemed to happen about the same time every night.
  11. Probably for access to the picnic grove
  12. When my wife and I went to the park on Saturday, we went to the Red Racer for our first ride. I too thought that it was a lot smoother than years past. I will also agree with Boddah on the going right at the turn around instead of the traditional left, it's a different feeling, one that will take some getting used to. But overall a good experience.
  13. Greatest topic ever
  14. I remember that...it was for the pictures taken by Keyhole Photo not the on-ride photos
  15. That's actually a great idea, it would also cut down on the extra cost for the special printer paper
  16. I would not expect to see the pictures make a come back since the trailer was not there this past weekend. Of course there is always a slight chance it could. I would say that if we don't see it by the time the park opens daily in late May, we won't see it at all this season.
  17. The front of the trains on Flight Deck just say Kings Island
  18. bilboard is completely gone...Guess Gillete dropped their sponsorship too
  19. I didn't notice anything different in the station, but the giant bilboard of the fighter jet is gone from next to the station. The grass under the station is also nicely mowed, but I guess you would expect that at the beginning of the season.
  20. Since it was only our company in the park, I walked onto every single ride except one...I had to wait 30 seconds for Invertigo.
  21. Sorry I didn't get any pictures but it looks like Gordon Bombay got some good pics in his post of the key items. SOB was running the entire day, no downtime from what I heard. Firehawk was down for a little while around 4:00 Delirium was down a few times, but not for more than 30 mins at a time. BLST had a roll back around 10:30 and was back open by noon (probably earlier but I didn't pass by until noonish)
  22. Midcourse brakes....Were they stopping you completely today? Yes...complete stop
  23. ^ I noticed today that they installed speakers on the brakes outside the unload area that plays the audio that was suppossed to play in the cars at the end of the ride in '05.
  24. It wasn't at all today
  25. This is my first trip report so bear with me... Attended company day for Cincinnati Financial Corporation today. A couple of notes on today's events: -Major construction going on where swan lake used to be. -The Crypt was not open today at all just a sign that read that it was temporarily out of service. I was really looking forward to seeing the new theming. I wouldn't expect it to be open on the 20th. -Rode Firehawk for the first time...unbelieveable. I went back and rode it again before leaving. -Saw the country western show in the Festhaus, looked ok, definately better than anything Paramount put together. -Staff is wearing the CF colors. I believe rides is in red, ecology is in yellow -Probably the most noticable change other than the construction was the signs of the rides. AE especially jumped out at me. All of the signs have been given a nice facelift and new paint. I have to say they look great. - Park was kept very clean, even though the crowds in the park were on the light side. -Rides are ridiculously staffed as most CF parks are. AE - 4 bar checkers, Firehawk - 6 per side, Beast - 6 -Racer- Rode the new Red Racer a suprisingly smooth ride -Beast - Rode in the last seat, a little bumpy, but was running nice and fast...sorry guys the brakes are still there -BLST - Sporting a new bilboard with the new name on it as well as an automatic exit gate -FOF - the entire ride was in complete darkness, couldn't even see my hand in front of my face -Drop Tower - No rotation going up, but still a good ride -Invertigo - New sign looks good -Viking Fury - Sporting a fresh touchup paint job -Vortex - Nothing has changed. Overall the park appears to taken care of, it doesn't have that run down image that we have seen in past years. This is my first trip since leaving the park in August of 2006, and I am looking forward to going again in the summer sometime. Let me know if you have any questions about anything else
