  1. Did CF re-implement the International Program? I know the final years of Paramount they scrapped the program due to the high turn over that they received from the participants and housing not being available at UC.
  2. Department policy in the past has been as long as you were in line when the first firework went off you were guaranteed a ride. However, when it comes to loading the final train, if there are 6 people waiting in line for the front or back seat and there are open seats in the middle, they will make those 4 extra people take on of the seats in the middle. Usually they will say something along the lines of: "This will be the final train of the evening, please find an open seat at this time."
  3. "The majority of the rare injuries that do occur do so because the rider didn't abide by the posted rules or rider safety guidelines," I am glad they made the above point.
  4. The ride has always had a problem with hard water marks being left on the fiber glass of the cars. It got so bad the first year of operation they tried to buffer the marks out, and while it worked for about a day or two, less than a week later the marks were back.
  5. I am guessing several lawyers were calling them after this incident happened. I am also sure that the phrase, "someone needs to pay for your son's death" was also used by many of them.
  6. Don't forget about a moat.
  7. Unless things have changed, I believe that there are no bags or pouches on the boats. And I believe that you need to be wearing some kind of shoe whether it be a sandal or gym shoe.
  8. "He didn't do anything wrong," Ferguson said. "He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time." Wrong place at the wrong time huh? If he would have adhered to the warnings, signs and fences he would still be alive. His own apathy got him killed.
  9. Congo - You get very wet WWC - You will get soaked Thornberry - Your shoes shouldn't get very wet at all. You get more wet from the elephant spraying you at the end then you do from the actuyal ride.
  10. The only difference is that there are a lot more footers associated with this new construction which may give away what type of ride it is.
  11. I can see why the rule is in place, to keep those who cheat the system from taking advantage. In my opinion those are the people who need to be taken out back and taught a lesson. But it kinda sucks that it had to get to this point where CF had to implement this type of policy. Maybe they will follow Disney and implement their former policy should enough complaints surface.
  12. You are correct. It's a pain in the butt trying to get all of that change up off the ground.
  13. I wouldn't expect an announcement of any kind for a future new attraction until late August just before the park goes back to weekends only.
  14. KI has an excellent maintenance crew, so should any downtime occur you can bet that they will be at that ride within a few minutes to fix the problem. Another nice thing about KI is that there are plenty of other options as far as attractions to go to during downtime and in most cases by the time you finish with that attraction the one that was down earlier is running again.
  15. Animaniacs...what a great show.
  16. I have heard that closing your eyes helps out while going down the first hill. You should be able to feel once you get to the tunnel and then you can open them and enjoy the rest of the ride. Do you have the same problem on the hill after the 2nd lift?
  17. Actually the midcourse brake on FOF has always been there, may not have been used in the early day, but sounds like they are utilizing it now.
  18. How do you figure?
  19. I would head for Invertigo first since the line will grow as the day goes on. With only the one train running it can make for some lengthy waits.
  20. Your link isn't working and I can't find it on CNN.com. Can anyone else find it?
  21. The tank was put in when Action Zone made it's debut. I believe the tower was used in a daily stunt show that they did.
  22. I see where your coming from, but that feeling of being trapped is to keep someone from wiggling out if the seat 300 feet up in the air. I am not a fan of heights, but I will ride Drop Tower and other rides like it because I feel secure and safe with the restraints used.
  23. Fro some reasons your idea reminds me of Disaster Transport at CP.
  24. I'm actually suprised more people don't park at Showcase Cinemas and walk over.
  25. I doubt that they would refuse to give you a ride, especially if you are spending money on their premises. Now if you were just trying to get free parking and then catch the shuttle they might say something.
