How long have you worked at FOF? Granted you probably know a few more things about the ride than the average visitor. But just because you work there doesn't mean you know everything about the ride, especially the decision to add or subtract trains.

As was mentioned, the park is not responsible for items left while riding. I can tell you that in 6 years working in the rides department that I can count on one hand the number of times someone claimed that their items were taken.

Since these are the bring a friend for $9.99 days, I would expect a larger crowd.

They are probably trying to get the work done that doesn't require cranes or other equipment on the paths during operation and saving that work for the off season.

It would appear that you would need to tell us when this "event" happened. Plus the hours that you say that "your mom's company" bought out the park do not make sense. Why noon? Why not when the park typically opens at 10?

You can bet that plenty of lawyers are calling his family about a lawsuit down the road.

I would be glued to the TV wanting to know how serious it was and if where I lived was flooding at all.

Why were they at the park anyway? The article says they were there to get their minds off the hurricane, but wouldn't you be more concerned about your house and belongings that you just got evacuated from as a hurricane is heading towards it?

I don't know what to be more taken back by.... The fact that you were able to write your trip report the way you did with such elegance. or The fact that the trash can had not been emptied all day.

Sunday morning might be the best time to go, but the crowd will quickly grow as the day progresses. I would expect long waits on rides all weekend given all of the activities going on.

Definately an interesting design

As others have said, KI is already a great amusement park. We have some unique rides and some classics. Plus, we have one heck of a kids area with the awards to back it up. I would bet that a lot of other parks around the nation wish that they had the variety that KI already has and provides to it's guests. With CF taking over, we can look forward to our entertainment department developing in the coming years with bigger and better hows. We can look forward to many opportunities in the future no matter where that takes us.
