  1. I gotta say, I predicted the layout slightly more east. I was expecting the "area of work" was right over the canal between WWC and the pond. That little alcove, whatever you want to call it. But this layout is really close to what I had in mind. It goes over WWC a bit more than I expected though. Regardless...great info. The ride will not intersect Diamondback, which would be cool, but is not how they usually do things.
  2. Fantastic!!! And you know...there is still much yet to decode. Thank you!
  3. Obtaining a copy of something doesn't necessarily give you the right to make & distribute additional copies yourself. True. But in this case the information is public, so it can be distributed. Care to debate? You think the local news couldn't get hold of these plans and post them? They won't, but you better believe they could! The fact that these plans are apparently being shared among "preferred" customers of this site would be a violation in itself if it was illegal. It is not. Someone post what Mason has, already...because this is getting ridonkulous.

  5. For various legal reasons, I would highly suggest not posting them publicly. Copies of public records are available through proper channels for those who are interested. From what little I have seen, details on the plans that people have obtained seem to be limited to the small section of the structure marked "current work area". It's not illegal to post public info when they make copies for you...it's illegal to then sell that info. For all we know they're about to take out an endangered bat habitat. I'm being silly, but these plans are public, and can be shared legally.
  6. And that is why I'm suspicious of this construction. There is just something odd and mysterious about it all. I'm not convinced about anything so far. Can't they practically build it in the factory? All the cuts, all the pilot holes. Put some footers in, let them dry, then bolt the thing up?
  7. As at least some of the plans are apparently readily available in Mason I'm quite shocked nobody has posted them online.
  8. I live about 20-30 miles from Indiana Beach. We had some storms roll through this morning. I don't know for sure, but that could very well be what caused the branch to break. My guess, anyway.
  9. It's not uncommon on these threads to see folks who talk as if they know everything, and then tell us "but I won't tell". Then Gav comes along and says he knows, and tells us...at least a little bit about what's coming. I hope he's credible but honestly it won't ruin my summer if he's totally spouting a load of bull. I find it refreshing either way, and all part of the fun. No need to cut people down. And if Gav is correct, I thank him for providing the info he has. This is a decoding thread after all.
  10. Yeah. There's some posts on this thread that really have me leaning RMC. And beyond that the buildup Kings Island themselves have built up...I'm expecting a pretty fantastic RMC. We'll see. But given all the buildup I'm anticipating something pretty...uh....big. In one fashion or another.
  11. Why would you love an RMC in that spot? Versus a GCI?
  12. I'm absolutely expecting it to be RMC. At this point I'd be shocked if it's not.
  13. Yeah, if it doesn't cross paths it'll come really, really close.
  14. I was there on Sunday, so I went back to look at the new WWC path and I did get a good look at the bridge. I saw couple of trees cut down with very little clearing. the only thing I deduced was that the structure holding up the tracks appeared to be metal painted to look like wood. It was a pretty long ways to the bottom of the ravine up to the tracks as well. I'd say at least 60 ft. Def. plenty of room for a coaster to go under it. Wouldn't that almost certainly mean the coaster will intersect or cross paths with Diamondback based on the layout that we've all seen? Which would be very cool...just not how they usually do things.
  15. Did anyone ever figure out what's going on under the railway bridge, and how it relates to this project and now the layout that has been released?
  16. I'm not disappointed no matter what, but if we're left to wait I just hope when they do build a Giga that it's huge, fast, all sorts of record-breaking.
  17. There's one part on the plan that says, "Area of work". I'm wondering if that's what this permit/blueprint/whatever is all about---that specific area---and the rest of the diagram is irrelevant for the purposes of whatever work they submitted this for. That would mean the rest of the diagram could be intentionally inaccurate because it simply doesn't matter yet. I don't know...just a thought.
  18. Is it typical for a full-ride-layout to be turned in to Mason prior to the park announcing it? I'm a bit skeptical. And it would seem a clumsy move by the park, would it not?
  19. I continue to find Sunday mornings to be perfect. Regardless of year or weekend, Sunday morning always delivers. Park gets busy about 1-2pm, but by that time I'm rolling out for the weekend.
